The Madoka and Haruhi dub were amazing.

sub of course

Sub of course.

Comedy anime are usually always better in dub in my opinion.

Yep, I'd say Lucky Star as well even if some of the scenes could've been handled better.

oh my god. he's fucking dead. Never coming back. Jesus fucing christ.

Hug me user

Dub, it's always good in my native language.

>Deadly Queen
>Emperor Crimson
>Eulogy
>Pale Snake
>Full Moon
>Maiden Heaven
>Filthy Acts at a Reasonable Price
>Frightening Monsters
Why would you ever watch dubbed anime? you already know it's going to be inferior.

Sub in most of the new shit and dub for the classics

Raw, with Cowboy Bebop as the sole exception.

Aya and Sugita voice is half of the fun in Haruhi dude.

user unless you know Japanese very well you should try more good dubs

>trying to inject reality into otaku neets
user don't bother, you're talking to people who don't even know trig

nevermind spedred "raw"

I like both, so I'm not sure

I liked Haruhi herself in the dub more. But I couldn't stand Mikuru. Dub VAs can't do moe characters very well, at least in my opinion.

Raw. If you disagree, you're an ironic weeb who should leave Yea Forums and 4channel and Yea Forums and the internet and Earth.

I watched the Haruhi dub first so over the years I got used to Crispin Freeman's amazing voice, and now when I try to watch sub, Sugita's voice just reminds me solely of Gintoki.

I love Crispin Freeman, but Harhui is meant to be watched in Japanese.

On that subject, Sakamoto's dub was pretty good.

None, manga.

Usually sub, but sometimes dub when the dub is real good.

Haruhi Dub or Sub

Almost all dubs are piece of shit.
Of course sub

Russian Mikuru is far and away the best voice she has in any language. She's very soft and mellow most of the time, but she can shoot her voice straight up to the Japanese actress's pitch when she needs to screech. Whoever voiced her was remarkably talented.

Raw > sub > get another hobby

These guys might be up to something on the matter of dubs

why is this even a question?
stupid burgers

Attached: 1523808660906.jpg (464x569, 46K)

I wouldn't say usually but there are a couple good ones.
Baka and Test springs to mind first.

Dubs are literally all bad

raw

I prefer dubs for most shows.

Also, hentai dubs make hentai worth watching since I don't get off from porn.

At least All American english dubs are just shit. Always the same "voice actors" trying too hard to imitate the originals by sounding as whiny as possible, but failing miserably. Also going to ridiculous measures to lip sync the lines even when there's really nothing to sync to in the first place because japanese couldn't care a shit about lip movements when animating. And always those obligatory 5.1 upmixes, really...

Learn Japanese, it's not that hard.

I'm in the mood for dub.

>deadly queen
It was still kino though

Anyone that even considers dubs should be hanged.

Dub if quality is better than average
Sub for everything else

>because japanese couldn't care a shit about lip movements when animating.
What you meant to say is that their animation is so cheap and crappy that they'll just add three frame lip flaps over a still because they simply don't give a shit.

Reminder that it is impossible to discuss a show with dubfags since they are watching an entirely different show.

Is it even fair to post hentai dubs

All dubbists must be beheaded.

No, but at least we can have a laugh.

i liked d-frags dub

american comedy are shit so fuck off

Sub you fucking moron. Go back to whatever shithole you crawled out of.

only the english dubs

I appreciate dubbers for making an effort to localise things, but they honestly tarnish the products. Japanese VAs are just next level to bordering amateurish English VAs.
Subs do not do such a thing to the products.

It's not like they're dubbing with Liam Neeson or whatever. (Holy fuck I'd watch the hell out of any anime with Neeson)

>I appreciate dubbers for making an effort to localise things
they do just for money, zero passion in it

Koizumi, Kyon, and Haruhi were well done in English. Mitsuru I absolutely hated. While the subs are better, I still have fondness for the dub

I never got the love for Crispin Freeman. Why on earth people would prefer his Alucard over Nakata Johji's is beyond me. Saying you prefer him to Sugita is tantamount to blasphemy.

english dub is shit, just look at Evangelion or Zelda BOTW

If there was actual talent involved, I'd be all over dubs. But there just isn't any talent or even passion in English anime dubbing. It exists solely for people who are too dumb to read subtitles.

When you compare the talent in American cartoons to what passes for talent in anime dubbing, it's just sad.

>I appreciate dubbers for making an effort to localise things
So you appreciate the effort to change it into something else? Their job should be to translate it, not localize it. They didn't make the show, so they shouldn't be altering it, and adding their own shitty jokes to it. I'll never, ever understand why anyone defends localization of anything.

>or Zelda BOTW
what's the point in dubbing something that spends 99.5% of its 200 hour excessively padded runtime in silence

Depends on the show. I usually go subbed for shows with a female-heavy cast and dubbed for shows with a balanced or male-heavy cast. There are some exceptions though, such as pic related having (IMO) a fantastic dub.

>mitsuru

>When you compare the talent in American cartoons
...Willow and Jaden Smith?

i can read

Who?

I was thinking of Billy West, Maurice LaMarche, Jim Cummings, etc.

>When you compare the talent in American cartoons to what passes for talent in anime dubbing, it's just sad.
It pisses me off. There are great VAs in America that just won't be in anime dubs and could give the shows a flavour as good as the Japanese VAs. That is especially so today when there is apparently a much larger interest in anime.

The haruhi dub was legitimately great if only because of Crispin freeman's kyon.

i only see a anime without his 3rd season

Attached: 87678.jpg (1920x1080, 143K)

Blame the industry, dubbing anime rolls pays fucking peanuts unless it is a very big name anime. Doing dubbed anime is a fate you escape from, rather than aim towards.

Definitely not when compared to Sugita.

There's almost never actual effort or good hires for dubs, just people trying to get easy money by reading lines from a paper with no emotion- at least with English dubs. Subs are much better.

Sub. Easier to find than a raw and it has the japanese audio.
It will be a problem for anime like Drifters but for the most of part, its ok.

Voice acting doesn't pay much unless you're in a big show like the Simpsons. It makes sense that the talent would go where the money is, and there's definitely more money in American cartoons than in anime dubs.

>those godawful fake British accents
Nah, it was trash. The only good dub is Hellsing because it's in the authentic Queen's English.

why not both

>jojo
>dub
????????????????

>The only good dub is Hellsing

I think you mean Cowboy Bebop.

I think you mean none of them.

Sub and then dub months down the road when the material can be refreshed in a different light.

>definitely more money in American cartoons than in anime dubs.
For now.

At least we can speak english correctly

i watched a lot of retarded haruhi [MAD]s on niconico back in the day so i have a soft spot for the jap meme lines. Find it hard to actually watch it in japanese though. It's incredibly hard to pass up a Wendee Lee performance.

Dual Audio is might shit but Sub.. Shits been a pain and I literally just found out metsu was neutered earlier this year.. iunno what to do now but dato doesnt scratch the itch.
