Personally I felt 2199 was bretty good but should have been about one episode longer to make the Izumo plan not randomly appear. Sure you can hunt the clues in a rewatch but I'd like it served to me.
When 2202 is good it's plenty fun, when it's not, it's a telenovela. Maybe if it had been 13 episodes, or 39. It takes ages for Dessler to appear and make it bearable. The blueskinned loli should have been in all episodes as an easterggish extra crew member.
