And the second new Jump title

So yuragi is gonna end soon

>Poro
It's not like I don't wanna give him a chance, but I don't remember any redeeming qualities from that series.

axed
and axed

More axed shit. Jump needs to get their shit together, the last rounds were all complete failures, including Samurai 8.

Says who

A dumb user.

The art is nice. Both the designs appeal to me. It's just a shame that he somehow forgot how to write after his oneshot.

So is this the delete this round? I also might just be crazy but if I didn't know any better I'd say that character is female.

Why the pessimism, anons? Maybe the romcom is good. Art looks good and the girl is a cute

art looks generic.

It looks boring, the gun makes it edgy, the girl looks bland and the scar.....I mean come on this is a recipe for cancellation.

did you check its sales and ranking you retard?

Attached: 1543360221071.png (1920x1080, 1.87M)

Looks good if you have shit taste.

I thought you said PORO as in the porn studio. I almost skipped a beat

post em

>Why the pessimism
Poros writing was shit. The main characters look generic as shit, art is ugly.
Yeah the scar really made me shake my head. Is the Jump editorial department even trying?

Do your own research to prove or disprove your belief that it is ending.

So many guns!

>Maybe the romcom is good
LMAO

>Is the Jump editorial department even trying
They aren't. They are just trowing everything on the wall, leaving it to the authors and hoping it sticks.
Heck, even their ongoing series have really shitty production, with stuff that any competent magazine editor would rule as necessary and bad.

At this point they wont end it when they couldnt even replace Food Wars, Gintama and HZ with anything that can even stay in the magazine longer than 4 volumes.

All of these will be axed
Yui Kamio Lets Loose
Beast Children
Double Taisei
Samurai 8
Tokyo Shinobi Squad

>unnecessary*

Not gonna go all over Yea Forums archive for a series I don't give a shit about. From what I've seen in Yea Forums threads, toc placements, and sales this series will be over by the end of the year. COPE

>Is the Jump editorial department even trying?
What series do you think Jump would need?
I'd say a non fantasy adventure. Early modern age would be best.

Samurai 8 will go beyond 4 volumes for sure. Not because it deserves to, but because of Kishimoto's name.

Look how bad they fucked up Samurai 8. Kishimoto is a hack and a shit writer, but they gave him a completely worthless hack young editor. There was an interview with the S8 editor and you could see what a worthless individual he was. He lets Kishimoto do whatever he wants and he encourages him to draw out all of his retarded ideas because he thinks Kishimoto can get away with it because of his status. Wake up call to both of them, no one cares about Kishimoto, they only care about Naruto. His new retarded Samurai 8 series could have lasted for a while, even if he did not deserve to be serialized again, but it will be another Robot x Laserbeam with an immediate cancellation. It takes a lot of incompetence to fuck that up so badly.

They need something that will not be immediately cancelled. Something that has a future in the magazine. The last time they had that was Chainsaw Man in December 2018.

It will be cancelled after 5-7 volumes at best, thats so much better. Still a failure.

>What series do you think Jump would need?
One with decent writing, which unfortunately won't happen anytime soon since it seems to me Jump readers have short attention spans and every new series needs to rush to a plot twist or a shocking development to gain attention.

I just want more long-running historical fantasy battle shounen. I think Kimetsu is the most recent one outside of the golem series that was axed very quickly. You could maybe include Samurai 8 as well but that seems more sci-fi to me. Would be cool to have a setting that doesn't really get utilized much, like ancient Rome/Greece or maybe a Middle East setting like in Magi and Altair.

TOC fags always do this. Never want a single series to succeed. And if one does those stupid faggots either go silent or pretend they always liked it.

No. They need good writers. It not the readers fault if he does not enjoy axe tier writing trash.

Wait so what's being axed next week? Do they already have enough room?

Some people have taste unlike you casual scum filth. Not everyone eats up this mediocre looking garbage. That includes Japanese readers. Guess what that leads to? Axes.

They need to give priority to writing over art. What they need is stuff like One's One-punch man or Attack on Titan. Both have (had) mediocre art but good writing nad thus succeeded.

Saiyuki was axed. HZ finished. No need to axe anything else.

This. Unfortunately finding good Japanese manga writers seems to be one of the hardest things to do. But it is not impossible, they found the great writer that works on Act-Age recently.

Honestly it's been a long while since anyone was in the U19 club. They're definitely self aware.

Most of the recent series have pretty mediocre art, to be honest.
They need good editors to actually they what the fuck the authors should be doing to improve the series writing.

>hime cut
>wedding band
Might enjoy before it gets the axe.

He already gets a new title?

A writer is more important than the editor. The editor can only do so much and he can change at any time. A series can have great art, but it will not matter if the writing is bad.

Cute shotas desu.

I remember when Poro was trying to gain sympathy from the readers in the first chapter by featuring characters from other popular jump manga. If the author is still that bad, he should never return to Jampu.

>shounen romance
>good

Something like dragon pygmalio then?

If I saw either of those pics in Pixiv, I wouldn't click on them. They are too generic. Honestly, Saiyuki and Kimio looked more interesting from the art concepts and both are ending. The artists and editors decided to use these for the magazine, so we shouldn't have high hopes for the art department.

The writing department could be good. We'll have to wait at least until the concepts are translated.

I don't think Jump is fucked yet, though. Looks like HeroAca is finally getting good, Black Clover has settled down, and Kimetsu, Dr. Stone and Neverland should all gain an anime boost thay will sell magazines for the next few months. Hopefully, Jujutsu and Act-Age will be adapted to anime in the future and do well too. It is not like they have a shortage of IPs to adapt. That they haven't been able to gain a new solid IP in all of 2019 is worrying somewhat, though.

gag to end the issue with a smile.

>If I saw either of those pics in Pixiv, I wouldn't click on them. They are too generic. Honestly, Saiyuki and Kimio looked more interesting from the art concepts and both are ending.
Sadly I have to agree. And I hated Saiyuki.

>The writing department could be good. We'll have to wait at least until the concepts are translated.
With how bad Poro was in the writing department, I have low expectations. The other guy seems to be more of a comedy mangaka.

>I don't think Jump is fucked yet, though. That they haven't been able to gain a new solid IP in all of 2019 is worrying somewhat, though.
They are far from fucked when they still have OP. Then you have all the things you mentioned. Act-Age, Jujutsu and Chainsaw Man are all future hits. 2019 seems to be a dud year and even if there is no solid IP from this year, they will be fine if they can get something cooking in 2020. This year still has 1-2 serializations left and something could appear then. If all the new talent they bring in continues to be this disappointing, then Jump is really screwed in the long run. Even then they would still be better off than any other manga magazine.

is that HITOMI SENSEI art ?

>Even then they would still be better off than any other manga magazine.
That's why doom and gloom is stupid, they're going to outlast every other magazine

>They need something that will not be immediately cancelled
So basically they just need something that gets to the point right away.

Its not doom and gloom. Its spotting garbage thats getting axed immediately. For now Jump is safe from anything bad, but that can always change. If 2020 is another bad year, things will get a lot uglier for Jump, even if it has brand name recognition on its side.

They really need a good writer.

Chainsaw?

Thats from 2018. And they only have one of those.

What is this, the /k/ round?

Jump always has axe fodder every year though, looking at pic related the ones that survived are on the minority.

Attached: 1565718327968.jpg (2048x1935, 850K)

New wave of axed mango

Well fucking yeah, someone HAS to be on the bottom.

The majority of new series get cancelled, that's not a new phenomenon, acting like things are somehow desperate just shows you're a newfag with no perspective.

They have axe fodder. But not the entire year is axe fodder, like 2019.

Says the redditor fag that loves to eat this garbage up.

Cool, judging by the rings they're married. What's this, they're trying to ride on the SpyxFamily train?
This tells me nothing.

Expect Shonen Jump to push the envelope on making Yuri and Yaoi romcoms in manga and more ecchi manga than ever before.

Expect your IQ to further decrease the more you speak.

>Yuri and Yaoi romcoms in manga
This will never happen in jump, they are way too traditional or they would have gone the CGDCT route already.

>oh no he demonstrated my ignorance, time to start throwing out random insults

HE'S GOT A GUN

Attached: 81CDC563-19C0-4882-8C20-9BEE5214CC33.jpg (1440x1080, 924K)

More like its a shonen magazine and that will not change.

But shonen magazines have had shounen/shoujo-ai for years already.

lycopene is still ongoing in jump plus

You sure showed me your high intellect, reddit.

>G-gun h-hero age!!!
Can they just serialize good manga instead of "thematic" garbage?

>to ride on the SpyxFamily train?
Stop comparing any romcom to SxF. They accepted this series earlier than SxF start selling first volume.

No they haven't. You're never going to see fagshit in a mainstream magazine

Good catch but I just saved this version from another user.

Tokyo shinobi is decent, but smells like axe

Chainsaw man already survived the axe devil

>Stop comparing any romcom to SxF
I never do that, and SpyxFamily isn't even a romcom (yet). Still, being it published fully and only on Jump+ they had a good indication of it's poularity even before the volume sales.
It's not that far fetched to think they kept that guy's idea on hold until they saw the water's were good for that kind of thing.

Good. I rather have this than Dragon Ball clone #[insert number here].

Cringe
DBChads will always be there watching you. You can not escape.

Chainsaw was fom 2018. The usual jump standard is finding 3 usable IPs per year. So far they have found none in the first two rounds this year. This round looks like it'll flop too, meaning that Jump's final round of serializations this year will have to find 2 successes to live up to its bad years.

And the biggest issue here is that Hachimaru is flopping. Jump seemed to be banking on that one.

>only 21 chapters
Is it not weekly anymore?

Attached: 1565147611058.jpg (2048x1935, 853K)

It's been a while

Attached: b2481a59ffb5d927b413a5afeda84b20.jpg (890x1046, 165K)

>DBChads
Being a manchild is far from being a chad. Also, Db is spic/low IQ-tier, no one will take your opinion seriously.

>it'll be gone
>not going to bother giving you proof
>y-yeah i've heard that it's ending from anons

Looks cool actually.
Good fodder for kamio to LIVE

Attached: Kamio Yui.jpg (784x1145, 171K)

Chainsaw man is from 2018
2019 is only axed stuff, except for maybe Samurai 8, which despite the chances for survival, it ranks like a cancelled manga.

user, it doesn't work like that. They must accept this series two month ago or even earlier, so it was too early to know how successful will be SxF

>trying to steal tokyo ss's spot
FUCK OFF THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE PERSONA STYLED SERIES IN JUMP

Attached: tss.png (854x618, 486K)

looks extremely mediocre

What does Black Clover's audience consist of?
Newbies and ESLs?

And why did you assume that poster is a BC fag?

I didn't. I'm just looking at all the stuff that lasted and stuff that died and wondered how BC lasted. It's so mediocre and generic and lame.

Men with refined taste who love a series that displays the best the shounen genre has to offer.

People who REALLY like battle shonen, judging from these threads.

Attached: scum.jpg (311x268, 30K)

Just shonenfags who stuck with it long enough. The manga does power of friendship better than any other series, since the friends are usually somewhat useful. And it uses the formulaic tropes as a shorthand to avoid wasting your time building up what you already expect, so it is fairly fastpaced.

Did your e-celebs tell you that?

Man 2010 was a bad year
>first big hit of this decade was fucking Nisekoi

>11 weeks
Was Jaco supposed to be a mini-series?
I have a hard time believing that "the next Toriyama" would be axed so soon, even if it was bad.

Please don't axe TSS :(

Yeah, it was intended to be a really short series, like a glorified one-shot. The interview for that is somewhere but I don't have it on me.

If you want your diversity forced shit you can watch that on netflix

Read it faggot.
TSS is anti western and pro Asian, you are the cause of the degeneracy of japan and the world.

Attached: Tokyo SS.jpg (822x1200, 122K)

based

2012 really picked up the slack in that regard. It was probably the best year of the decade for producing solid hits.
>Haikyuu
>Saiki
>AssClass
>Shokugeki

Could be nice.
His fucking face makes me laugh, will probably just get axed.

If it's a romantic Bonnie and Clyde story I can consider reading it.

I find it funny that 2016 had TPN and Kimetsu, which had successful adaptations in terms of sales boost while 2017 had WNL and Dr. Stone, the ones with not so successful anime.

He looks like Noah's weird genki cousin.

Do we have titles for these yet?

Evidence indicates that Yui Kamio and TSS survived this round of cuts.

First one is Yozakura-san Chi no Daisakusen (Yozakura's Big Operation)
Second one is Mitama Security, with the kanji for spirit in the word "security" somewhere

>another exorcist series
it's dead

But my YOUKAI

>WNL
The adaptation was complete trash.

It is a gag exorcist. Is it not?

It's a split cour anime so they're obviously going for a quantity over quality approach which is probably smarter because early Bokuben is bad regardless of the animation used.

The MC looks like a gag manga protagonist but it's too early to tell.
