vinland saga is legit the best anime of this season
its the only anime that makes me want to be invested into it
started reading the viking history because of this shit
Vinland saga is legit the best anime of this season
it gets even better, now that the anime will be back on track with adapting mango chapters
The best parts in the manga are coming.
damn dude you are hyping me up way too much
Only downside about it is amazon prime. Barely anyone will see it since its on a streaming site barely any normalfags use and most (if not all anons) get it illegally. So this may just be one of the last of its kind(of this quality). Only isekai and cheap ecchishit for the rest of the next century.
>started reading the viking history because of this shit
Yikes
>started reading the viking history because of this shit
I started with the Microsoft strategy game Age of Mythology when I was 11-12 back in the early 2000s and then got into Amon Amarth as a teenager, you're late to the party
>Gatekeeping knowledge of history
Just be happy some nigga got more interested in history because of this anime.
oof, thats a yikes from me chief
because i surely have not done both of these before you stopped sucking your moms tits
>started reading the viking history because of this shit
>started reading the viking history because of this shit
If you really get into it, I strongly suggest expanding your range to encompass Norman history as well, then apply both to Irish history and the impact both Vikings and Normans had on Ireland.
That's literally the best outcome of any historical fiction, though. Getting the reader into actual history.
Who /trud/ here?
Vinland Sage_a made me watch all 5 seasons of Vikings and it was worth it, since show doesn't have cringy manga moments like this
BASED
>Vikings
Just the drab and colourless costume design made me not want to get into that show.
So why should I watch this instead of just reading history?
Who is making you choose?
What kind of dumb-ass question is this? This show ain't no history channel, Its a character drama.
because it has japanese men screaming viking names
history doesnt have that
It's refreshing to get a proper manime every once in a while instead of all the usual moeshit.
I find it interesting how with all the crazy manga variety Japanese don't really do much medieval Europe.
Oh they do, they just have to have a self-insert and so they invented Isekaishit so japs can feel safe in any time or place.
Goblin Slayer
so this...... is the power of an ESL
But last episode was adapting the manga.
But that‘s not medieval Europe, that‘s just Dragon Quest.
Vinland Saga >>>>>>>> Vikings
Vikings is so shit and cringe, people who complain about feminism and historical inaccuracies in Vinland haven't seen Vikings, fucking degenerate Hollywood trash with homosexuality and other disgusting shit, they didn't even get clothing remotely right, people who actually think that people acted like they act in the show in those times need to off themselves.
They do a lot more of it than any Western media does Eastern fiction. A lot of it is simply untranslated though.
You're not ready for the pure kino that is to be unleached in the final episodes.
oh god im gonna piss myself
the ironic thing is that because its on prime its the one anime im watching through official channels. only other time i do that is basically when something i wanted to see ends up on netflix before ive gotten around to torrenting it. vinland saga is the only thing that made me bother even visiting the prime video site let alone use it for any reaaon
>streaming
>Why yes,I do watch Vinland Saga through Amazon Prime, the best streaming service of our time. How else would I support its creators?
you could have at least removed the watermark
Yeah, but you know. Tiny island vs a continent.
yeah yeah i know but since streamshit is integrated into my tv its good for me, otherwise yeah im strictly torrenting the highest resolution i can find
I specifically said Eastern rather than Japanese so no, not really. How many (moderately/somewhat) popular historically-themed tv series or movies created by the West for the Western market are set anywhere in East Asia, South Asia, SEA, or Central Asia and feature those locals as their primary cast?
Where do the Somali vikangs appear in the anime?
This is set in 11th century northern europe, not present.
Oh, so when do the Iranians show up?
Maybe when they'll start sailing to constantinople we'll see some Iranian poet or something.
I need to see them establish a trade route or I'm calling bs on the accuracy.
