He represents the best of Jojo. Araki can't write consistent. SO why so serious?
Joseph doesn't take it seriously at all. He's a goofball and he knows it, and just plays. This is araki at his best. Pillar men, need a redlight, random powers, and asspull-mania.
It's just a journey, an adventure. You're supposed to have fun. That was the essence of part 2 and 3, and even 4. Part 5, depressed araki ruined it. Besides better character writing, its an absolute mess. And Part 6 suffers from the same thing.
But Part 7 goes back to what Jojo means. What it is AT ITS BEST. An asspull, random, light-hearted goofy and soulful adventure.
Part 2 is everyone's favourite, because its the most adventure. Simple as. Joseph is lovable, and makes the adventure fun. He is likable, and a chad, with quips and gags. He doesn't make you suffer from hard deep emotional stories, only when a friend dies. Hes a good main character, we stay steady and CONSISTENTLY by his side. We look through his eyes, and not a million backstories, ala depressed araki style.
Just watch Part 2 again, and compare it to part 5.
JoJo is what it is because Araki experiments with the formula he created; changes characters and scenarios to see how it plays out. To be a part shitter is to simply not get it.
Christopher Green
>jojo is arakis science experiment, its not meant to be judged as entertainment
this is the ACTUAL argument of people who like part 5. What cucks.
Xavier Evans
Constantly experimenting with the formula doesn't work when it's meant to be taken seriously, because there's no consistency.
That's why the parts that aren't meant to be taken seriously end up so much better.
Chase Walker
whoa...a jojo thread that isn't delusion, reddit or fujoshit.
actually based.
Aaron Garcia
Part 2 is the worst part. Hamonfags and Josephfags are retards who are obsessed with the anime.
> Besides better character writing, its an absolute mess. The character ''writing'' is abysmal tho. Giorno is essentially plot device Jesus-kun, character motivations are laughable and Araki tries to make you feel bad for them purely by victimization via their backstories. They hardly interact and they hardly work as a goddamn team they're apparently supposed to be.

Jonathan quotes: >sunlightyellowoverdriveuuu >DIO! Jotaro: >yare yare daze Josuke: >gureato daze Giorno: >kono giorno giovanna niwa yume garu
It doesn't help the other parts when your side characters also have the best quotes. Kars + Stronheim + Whammu. Probably equal or close to Part 1, because they have speedwagon + baronzeppeli.
Lucas Lee
part 1 has dio, which means it's the best in side-character quotes, assuming side-character includes main-villains.
Part 3 could have been great if Joseph wasn't shafted by stand roulette. It's fine that the new Jojo is the strongest and all that but totally sidelining a Jojo known for wild and exciting fights was a terrible decision on Araki's part.
Mason Turner
I don't see how that's really bad. Joseph was veteran, so he had to get a mentor role of some sort. He's also a strong hamon user so giving a "weak" stand makes pretty balanced. He's not even sidelined at all.
Mason Taylor
But he almost never uses his hamon abilities in Stardust. I'm fine with the mentor role but Hermit Purple is just plain useless
Jaxon White
What said
He is pretty sidelined, though it's not just him, and it never feels like he really needed to be there. The only problems he has to deal with are the ones that only affect him and he never does anything ultimately consequential.
Colton Morgan
Joseph with a rope was broken in BT, and HP is just a rope he can easily control basically, Araki just didn’t want him to take too big of a spot imo
Aiden Torres
It's not like he introduces the plot of SC and stands too while adding fun moments between fights.
Jayden Morgan
I agree, part 5 is way too serious, I rewatched all of JoJo when part 5 was about to end and part 5 was just missing the bizzare atmosphere the other parts had
Easton Collins
>Joseph is better because he has more autistic voice lines
He's still a fantastic character, but that's precisely the problem: Such a fantastic character deserves some real relevance. Especially considering the style of his fights in part 2.
Joseph Ross
how can you be a narutard before a jojotard? I think you might be a tardtard
Jack Butler
Araki was depressed while writing part 5. Fugo was supposed to come back and fight the gang, but araki got sad seeing friends fight so made the green day and left fugo out.

Dio is a better representation of what JoJo is all about >comically evil and doesn't give a fuck >takes full pride in the fact he has no motives for being evil other than to just be an asshole >fully self aware of how ridiculous the whole plot and himself is and simply revels in it >has the best lines of any character >instead of using a methodical and reasonable way to kill Jotaro and actually win he just goes ape shit stupid using a fucking road roller >uses STANDO POWAH to fucking fly >shoots literal lasers from his eyes >stand is so broken it can stop time >cannot be killed, only reason he "died" was because of an asspull >total fucking Chad and raked in all the pussy and ass >max charisma, can pull almost anyone to his side just by his sheer sexiness >cucked Johnathan >somehow survived 100 years at the bottom of a fucking ocean in a coffin Araki can never top Dio as a villian, he is perfection.
