I dont understand the timeline of the side story. Can someone explain it to me.

from what I can Ainz gets to the NW in a different location and different time period in the original, roughly 200 years earlier or so

he meets EE and then they spend 5 years together

then the epilogue is 200 years later where they've added a few members to the new AOG

Maruyama is done with Overlord. Fans wanted an epic fight and he gave it to the fans in a fucking side story that isn't even canon. He no longer has any ideas left for Overlord.

I just want to see what happens with Rape King and the Kingdom/Renner/Bluerose.

I doubt it honestly, Overlord sells too well for it to stop

This is what settled for me that Maruyama is a hack. If any of the enemies in this were in main story, humanity would be done for 100 times over. Also, normally when you write a 1 book standalone, you are supposed to wrap everything up in it. Mercenaries and lich society led to nowhere.

Shalltear will come in 8th place in the Spinoff after: Albedo, Solution, Keeno, Aura, Yuri, Pestonya, Shizu and Neia

What if they made a whole season based on the spinoff with a shitload of filler adventuring? What if it's actually good?

Naw, dawg. It's honestly the most wasted potential of any volume. Papa Bones's adventures with Aura and Shalltear should have been a dream come true, but in reality, it was quite boring.

You people should really look into Overlord in Japan, the BD sales were higher than they expected for all season, even the what happened with those goats, so you could imagine how they feel right now with what they can get away with.

Second thing I wanted to mention was the profits from both the BD sales and the cut the studio received for the volume sales didn't go towards the union, but they used it for their animation projects especially Boogiepop or whatever it was called that didn't sell too well lol. If Madhouse want to do another season, just know that, that money will be funnelled towards other projects that won't even sell well. Pretty sure Madhouse's licence for Overlord is expiring 2020, Maruyama holding off might be 5D chess to change studios even though he could just ask his publishing company since he himself can't directly go to studio for that as they might not even take him seriously (Japanese superiority/hierarchy)

Let's be honest, which animation company would want or show interest in animating Overlord?
