you know it's funny, a lot of the times when I think about what I love in a show or what makes a season a personal favorite Smile doesn't really come up, but if I was asked to name my favorite I'd still go to it. Great cures, great generals, fun episodes even if the plot barely exists. I dunno, I guess something just clicked with it.

40 episodes into GoGo and there hasn't even been much Syrup/Urara, especially compared to how important either romance was in the first season. The first half forced Syrup into every single story regardless of whether or not he would add anything or whether he wanted to be there, and then after his double betrayal he himself got sidelined. GoGo just had no idea what to do with most of its cast so they kinda just stand around until its time for their episode(s). Was gonna just have the plural until I remembered Nuts has had exactly one episode.

If you take Aile as a tribute to the year she spent fighting for Precure and how its memory and her friends cheering her on would one day inspire her to greatness, it's the perfect capper to her story with them.
If you added the story of her childhood before she saw Misaki for the first time, her growth fueled by rock, the clashes with her family and her journey of self-discovery, you'd have a full story. Aside from the punching giant monsters thing, of course.

For me I think it would have to be episode 42 of Futari, the one where Honoka nd Nagisaget seperated and they both nearly break down but pull through in the end. I think it represents Precure as a whole best. It's got Good character development. Good plot for the episode. Good relationship development between Honoka and Nagisa. Good animation. It has it all.

Aoi just had a complete story arc, from start to finish with flashback, character progression, stakes and a satisfying ending with her standing on her own feet doing what she loved her entire life, with the plus of her butler getting recognized as the heir of her family, freeing her from any "muh family and muh her". It's extremelly rare to get such character progression in Precure, or hell in any anime, and some Pinks WISH to get such love put into them, I think the other ones to receive such treatment were Tsubomi, Yayoi, Sword and Hana to an extend.

HaCha 23, the shopping one. There's a great sakuga fight, and Hime has a really cool moments coming to Iona's rescue. The two of them bonded nicely in that episode and it worked so well after all the drama between them previously. I also unironically really enjoyed HaCha 10, the QUALITY episode that introduced Honey and her rice song with an idol duel against Hoshiiiiiiiwa.

In universe I guess they existed, sold in booster packs, presumably as part of some kind of game like pokemon? I don't think they were selling PreChan mirrors in universe but I wouldn't put it past Toei to do that. I'm pretty sure they aren't mentioned outside that episode and scene about Hime pulling the Bomber Girls though.
In real life, the PreChan mirror was a toy that used cards just like the one in the show. You could mix and match stuff however you wanted to look cool, but it would only play the sounds for their henshin phrase with those cards and the souns for the musical attack setups too. Pretty cool I guess, but the real star was the bracelet. I have always wanted a PreBrace but been too embarassed to try and buy one. My arm is a PreBrace.
The PreChan mirror that the cures use in the show actually works with the magic cards Ribbon sneezes out of her buttbag when you rub her nose after saving someone from a Terribad though, not cards from booster packs that Hime wastes good money on.

I went ahead and subbed it using the Chinese hardsubbed link that some other user posted, but the video quality is... Not great, as you can see. I'd like to have a decent raw, but if the show isn't likely to get a good one uploaded any time soon, I guess I'll just release it like this. But I wanted to check beforehand, so as not to waste everyone's time if a proper upload is on the way.

Ace's makeup thing, Fortune's piano, Milky Rose's palette, etc. They're super common. And if there isn't one, there's always a power-up item like Futari wa's rainbow bracelets, or a weapon like Passion's harp. Sometimes you even get two, or all three of the options.
Honestly, it'd be a lot more ridiculous of them to expect the same toys to sell for an entire year, new toys selling makes much more logical sense.

The thing is, it doesn't have to substitute the original henshin trinket, with just adding a super form or a variant of the base Cure form is enough to sell sparkling toys with a new Cure image, plus selling new figures on top of that.
Iirc both Flappy and Choppy says that they want to keep helping the Cures too and that their power is already avaible in the new device. It wasn't something too convoluted.

I only started browsing /pc/ after I finished every season and I know that feeling, when I finished a season I didn't even know what the next Cure designs would look like, it was exciting to keep guessing.
Now in /pc/ we always get leaks of the mid-season Cure design at the beginning of the year, people in Yea Forums in general are pretty desensitized to leaks/spoilers, I'm too used to /pc/ to really quit for months/years, but I still think a blind watch is the best.
