It's fucking crazy we don't have a proper Ghost in the Shell game. An open world RPG would be amazing.

Blame

have the sekiro sequel just be a retelling of shigurui

I want a Kill la Kill game that plays exactly like Metal Gear Rising

it has like three games and one of them is the closest animated adaptation of the manga that has ever happened

Yeah, I was going to ask OP what the fuck he is on.

I meant more modern games I guess. The latest one we got was a shitty shooter.

Maybe a good Zatch Bell video game.

I want a fighting game like Bushido Blade but based on Utena.
The last one came out on 2016, that's not so long ago. The PSX one is still the best, tho, just get into /vr/. It's cheaper too.

That Zatch bell fighting game for the gba was pretty good.

Forget about a videogame
I want someone to hire masamune again to do character design.

Okay, imagine this:

A Symphogear arena battler game where you go dynasty warriors on Noise mooks while trying to protect NPCs or fulfill some other objective, combined with boss fights against singular powerful foes.

The mechanical gimmick of the game is that you have to balance between two different pattern signifiers. The first is the standard video-game logic of learning enemy attack patterns so you can recognize when its safe to attack, when you have to dodge, and so on.

The second, more specific gimmick is that every boss battle is set to a specific song, and your attacks and special abilities have their effectiveness dip and peak at specific parts of the song, with short windows of damage buffs and the like at the end of a verse or at specific moments. These moments might be accompanied by unique attack animations or the like. Basically if you attack during the hypest moments of the song you can expect that to be the best strategy, but you still have to not lose the boss fight in the process.

Ideally the end result is that your boss fight flows with the music and everything feels cinematic as fuck.

Pokemon.

Imagine converting the complex 3D combat of pokemon with the complex elemental system and the wide variety of pokemons, as well the intricate NPC interactions that allow you to defeat gyms with clever means, it'd be amazing.

It's called Deus Ex

Was this whole sequence peak Symphogear? I never get tired of watching it again.

How the fuck does an open-world RPG make sense for GITS? The main characters are police, what are they roaming around in an empty town full of shitty side quests for?

9001 times fucking this. Why the fuck did they do an arena fighter, I want a proper DMC/Bayo style slasher.

I don't know if its peak, but its amazing. Crazy scene, good music, good VA work. 10/10.

Play Zero no Kiseki to find out.

Because that's the easiest kind of game to make. You barely need any gameplay, just cram some art into an existing engine and slap a price tag on it.

But he does character design all the time, they are just not quit SFW.

>2016
You mean that stupid military shooter full of micro transactions that's no longer playable?

To elaborate on all you have to do is make good sidequests instead of shitty ones. I know, hard concept to grasp if your contact with the RPG genre is limited to garbage like late FF and Xenoblade 2, or Fallout 4 for the western end of things
Police setting has so many sidequest possibilities you have to be a hack not to write any good ones. Look up Zero no Kiseki, look up L.A. Noire as well - not an RPG, but could be made into one.

A Phantom Blood videogame that didn't follow the manga reliously, so the devs could have some liberty with the level and enemies. It would literally be a mix between God Hand and Castlevania

As for GITS, there's already an excellent game called Deus Ex 1

Ok, fair enough.

It's kind of an old property anyway though.

Last game I remember him doing the designs for got shat on by just about everyone.
