Honestly, I don't get why part 5 is the fan favourite in Japan. I thought the trip arround half the world was great and holy shit that fight against Dio.

Am I the only one who thinks part 3 makes up for its more boring stand battles with great humor, the changing setting, and the supporting cast? The reason why I rank it better than part 5 is because part 5 does the same shit but worse. The humor isn't as good, the "changing" setting isn't as fun, and the cast is good but also disappointing. Even Bruno is disappointing because he spends the last half of the part being a zombie and having zombie problems.

Battle Tendency's anime is flat-out better than the manga. Vento Aureo had a much better anime than DiU and especially SC. The anime was the closest I came to giving a shit about Kars or Diavolo, even though they're still the worst 2 villains when all said is done. Putting the OVAs in with the anime feels sort of dirty, since it had a much higher budget and took a lot of liberties with the source material.

DiU's best fights, like Highway Star, weren't as gripping in the anime as they were in the manga - fucking Ratt and The Lock got it the best for some reason. Must've been guest directors or something. SBR obviously hasn't been animated yet.

Lost motivation after they fucked it up the first time. Fighting game fans hated the framerate and the mechanics made the fights too slow. The casual stuff like grinding for poses, costumes, and other shit was hated by Japanese casuals because it worked on a strict "action battery" that kept jojo fans from their favorite character costumes for no reason but to push microtransactions.

Shit could actually be good with a sequel, but why bother when they could just shit out an arena fighter like Eyes of Heaven.

I remember part 2 being pretty low on people's lists before the anime started, so the anime quality is definitely a big factor into what draws people to a part. I still consider part 5 one of the bottom 3 stand parts, but I see why people are drawn to it now that the anime is finished.
