Why you hate reading shonen

Guru Guru is a battle shounen?

Is this an author/assistant relationship chart or just something that's linking similarities?

I think it's more who inspired who chart

I would swear to god some of these are older than the manga they 'inspired'.

I think that's the correct order pal

Why you hate knowing english

>Naruto, first run 1997
>Inspired by Hunter x Hunter, first run 1998
Are you an idiot?

Hunter Hunter was a year and a half into it's serialization by the time Naruto first came out so i don't think it's possible to think it inspired it, also Naruto was clearly inspired by Dragon ball like most modern shonen

I swear kubo was thinking of stands when he made bankais a thing.
But if its a main inspiration i dont know.

What's the name of that WSJ manga from the 90s about a former captain of an elite group of 7 badasses searching for the other 6 members of his unit while being accused of a crime they didn't commit? The protagonist was a child and he had an unusual pet animal.
Pic unrelated, its from the 90s as I already said

Same here.

It's like 100 chapters an arc and nothing really happens except the MC gets nakama power and defeats the big bad.

Where the hell is Kenshin?

Because watching shonen is far more entertaining

New good horror shonen when?

>90s
You live in the past, grandpa

Read better shonen.

How the fuck Kamui Gaiden is a shonen?

Naruto began in 1999. In 1997, Kishimoto drew a Naruto one-shot, and the series began two years later. Do better research.
It was probably meant to be Kamui Den.

Shonen is all I read

RIGHT NOW

>Hunter X Hunter led to Naruto and BNHA
Based.

shitty writing

>OP leads to NnT
How? I would rather put a line from Dragon Quest to NnT instead.

Hokuto no Ken inspired everything. I cant believe how influential it is.

Also how does FMA relates to Guru Guru?

Is there any shonen that ended on its peak and not when people just got tired of it? Serious question, it seems is always the exact same practice, authors simply keep prolonging a story as long as it give bucks, quality be damned.

Kamui-gaiden was published in a shonen magazine. Kamui-den (at least part 1) was published in Garo, not a shonen magazine. Also, unless I'm not remembering correctly, Gaiden was significantly more Shonen-y and Den was the serious socialist one.

Based Fujita bro

I don't hate it

I read that Gaiden only ran in a shounen magazine for a couple of volumes before switching to seinen. So both were seinen.

Of course not. Authors are creatively bankrupt at around the 150-200 chapter mark. After that they are either retreading old ground or experimenting outside their expertise.

This chart is really dumb. Just wanted to let you know.

You're partially right. The first part of Gaiden ran in shonen sunday in the sixties. It didn't switch straight to seinen though, there was a 15 year gap between part one and part two. In terms of influence, I'd put Gaiden as a shonen even though the majority of its run was in the 80s as a seinen.

Magic circles I think.

Can someone name the top 2 on the left.

The right one is Kamui

only hate FMA

Otoko Ippiki Gaki Daishou and Kamui

It's made for 16yo and I'm twice as old is why

Ahem

Konjiki no Gash has a very good ending and most would consider the 200 and up chapters to be the pinnacle.

Kubo said Saint Seiya and foreign films inspired Bleach and even for Saint Seiya it was just the costume designs. So get rid of YYH and that orange shit to the right.

You dont think the whole dead world or whatever from YYH didnt have something to do with soul society setting?

No in that Speed Racer is a ripoff of Wacky Racers because their races were always over the top and unrealistic. Kubo has praised Togashi before so if he was an inspiration for him in some way he wouldn't be afraid to say so

yes I'm sure YYH created the concept of an afterlife

Ok, I will take the bait.
JRR Tolkien did not create dwarfs neither the elf race. But he sure as fuck made people use them thanks to the influence of his work.

>Elf in the myth know as rapist
>Elf in Tolkien is noble creature
might as well be OC

Influence is the word you are skipping out on.

Most of them are boring and generic, plus it attracts Yea Forumseddit and normalfags

I don't like action manga

That's a loaded question.

I don't, I just hate shonenfags.

Literally the only thing I read/watch is shonenshit and I'm proud of that fact. Shonen is light-hearted kino, Seinen is unimaginitive tryhard edgelord shit, Shoujo/Jousei is for trannies and women, moe-shit is for obese neckbeards. Shonen is the only good anime genre, disagree? Fuck yourself.

I'm just as confused.

Full Metal Alchemist came really close. Depending on your taste, it managed it.
