Last time, Akito struggled with the fact that he was still coming across as stiff and unemotive in his performance. To further complicate things for him, when being taught by Abby a language mix up made it seem as if he didn't enjoy dancing when in fact he does. Abby and Eugene figured that it might be a case of him holding back due to possibly being bullied for being a boy dancing ballet. Even Mitosho and Ryou messaged/called him from Japan to ask him if he enjoyed it and reminding him to be expressive. He did confirm later on that he does get teased by his friends about it but he's making an effort to try and let his enjoyment shine through.
While Akito had his performance for a spot in the grand finals the next day, Kanade and Shouko had workshops in the morning but more importantly the results to determine who'd be moving on were that day and due to nerves and excitement none of the three of them could get much sleep. After a workshop Kanade, Maho and Chloe raced out to the lobby to see if the results were posted up. Kanade was surprised to see that she'd passed and was relieved to see Shouko had as well securing their spots in Manhattan but Chloe and Maho were eliminated. Miriam also moved on but Li Zixuan didn't and, to Kanade's great surprise, neither did Ema.
A lot of it was just shattered confidence that she only got back in the couple months prior to the YAGP competition in Japan. Plus like Kurisu said there's really only so much her teacher could've done. She's not a competition teacher and Ema's way beyond her ability to teach at this point.
Thanks for the dump. I'm hoping this arc ends soon. I'm enjoying it but I want to see more progress.

It basically ends with this volume. Just going by the raws, the award ceremony is chapter 68 (this volume ends with chapter 67), then they're back in Japan by the end of chapter 69. So all the actual competition will be done with this volume but you won't find out the results until the next one.

I can really only go by the art and the scattered bits of English in the raws but basically neither Shoko or Kanade make the top 3. 3rd is a literal who, 1st and 2nd look to be two girls introduced next chapter. Kanade wins the Youth Grand Prix award though which is the top overall prize and from what I can tell just looking that stuff up isn't guaranteed to be awarded every year; so basically she was the most exceptional overall dancer/MVP or whatever.
It looks like Miriam and Ema both get scholarships to the John Cranko School in Stuttgart which was the school scouting them before they went to New York. It doesn't look like Shoko got a scholarship and I can't tell if Kanade got one or not. Guess the translations, when they come, will clear everything up but that's what it seems like from glancing at the raws.

I really like Shoko because she's the jobber of the main girls and a lot of times, she ends without any reward. Probably Cuvie wants her to be with Kanade now that Ema and Miriam got the scholarship and Sakura is still in Munich.
