It's my favourite of the long-ish ones, Hantengu had so many tools and powers, it was pure fun.
Had some pacing problems especially adding Tokitou's fight mid-fight.
It does have, however, the best arc climax by a wide margin, that Nezuko.

I think the series has a decently sober tone, but I don't see everyone in the story dying, that's extreme. It's why I don't buy the spoilers about the mark killing you by 25, "we saved the day but everyone is dropping dead in a few years" is a pretty dire ending.

Death isn't treated as something completely terrible in this manga. It's inevitable and can be quite beautiful. It goes along with the Japanese aesthetic of impermanence. Cherry blossoms are only around a short time but that helps us appreciate it more.
