School never ends. The League of Villains went ahead with their plans and completely took over the city, reducing it and most of Japan into a wasteland. Deku escapes to America with Gran Torino to train.

He comes back in 3 years to fight off the League of Villains in MHA Shippuden, with the rest of his classmates who have been fighting off the villains in post-apocalyptic Japan. For about 300 chapters, they fight and pick off the LOV like the Akatsuki until Deku and Shiggy have their end-of-series powerscaling battle and destroy the earth. The end.

Its really pathetic how people try so hard to shit on this arc because people like it like they outright refuse to allow anyone to praise anything anymore because they're personally unhappy. Thank fuck I realize that Yea Forums's opinion is worthless a long time ago.

Because this arc, much like every other arc in MHA post-Kamino, feels like filler. The antagonists are usually dead or captured by the end of it all, and the main characters suffer no consequences from their actions. A good arc would have some of the MLA members survive and tie into the next arc while giving the League of Villains some important consequences (or benefits) that play a role in the future.

That's the best part. SnK is so kino that it can pass through on mediocre art through sheer amazing writing alone. Wish you guys could know this feel what with villain aca being the best this manga has been in years while 3 year old SnK us still god tier.

The main issue with the pacing in this manga is that there isn't a clear checklist of stuff to do to progress, besides ever increasing power levels. Like One Piece had the Shichibukai and the Yonko numbered before Luffy met any, or Naruto introduced all the Akatsuki at once in.Shipuuden.

It is realistic, but it also makes it unclear if anything contributes to plot progression overall. In theory, Deku and Shiggy could clash next arc and end the manga there. Also in theory, Shiggy could fail to destroy UA two or three more times, then Deku is shipped to America to protect the other kids and train for three-four arcs, then Deku is shipped back to Japan when Shiggy kills Endeavor, then Deku beats some new Shiggy henchmen, etc. and the manga could last for a decade.

And since the DekuvsAfO endgame has been foreshadowed already, all these steps feel like stalling. Especially during School arcs.

I haven't been able to put it into words, but this is it. BnHA lacks any clear objectives besides the main one of "Deku becoming the #1 hero".
Shigaraki and Deku being rivals isn't even real besides our conjectures, I wouldn't be surprised if they NEVER EVEN FOUGHT considering that so far only Pro Heroes take care of the LoV. Endeavor and Hawks and the other dozens of heroes would get killed before Deku gets forced to go against Shiggy.

On HxH for example you get the clear goals since the very beginning of "Gon has to fight Hisoka.. .well, at least to punch him" and then "Kurapika hates the Spiders, so he'll fight the Spiders!". Those issues get established early and solved one way or another.
Is Ochako supposed to fight Toga, are they rivals or something? Who knows, but Toga certainly is 4 or 5 tiers above Ochako considering her ghosting Deku, stabbing Jobzawa & NiggaLock and now killing who knows how many people at once. So no, Toga isn't realistically Ochako's rival.
I think the same on Shiggy, he's on another league and storyline separate from Deku.

Only now we see glimpses of maybe society crumbling in the future.

I guess that you mean that they have to inspire people to be better? That is a goal, but it is not really a goal that can be measured in plot points. I mean, I guess you could say that his progression will be from inspiring civilians to inspiring classmates to inspiring pro heroes to inspiring villains? That is more tangible progression than the number of guys he'll have to fight, and the arcs are still structured around the people he fights rather than the people he inspires.

There are lots of characters and factions established in the manga right now, if each gets their arc, this manga will be longer than One Piece. I don't think anybody expects the antimutant group to ever get a dedicated arc. And while the Liberation Army probably had more potential than any other group, I think sending them against the villains was not what most expected from it. At least judging from these threads people expected them to get involved with the kids somehow. Especially Bakugo and Ochako.

And what I am going at is that plot progression feels hard to evaluate when you don't have a view of the whole. It is the reason why games usually show you "previews" of what you can unlock nowadays instead of just showing you what you have available. The random uncollected Pokemon/Hero/Ability that is silhoutted in your menu creates expectation.

Also, I am not sure why you think I hate HeroAca. My point is that the pacing of this manga isn't as bad as it feels. It is just that Gentle does not feel as important as Deidara because we have no idea about how many "Gentles" will be in the manga. Even if both provided about as much to the plot.

Gentle was meant to be a mirror for Deku someone with no talent who had aspirations for being a hero but had one accident and it put his life down a spiral and also showed that not everyone with aspiring goals can actually achieve them. Deidara serves no purpose, he was not on the "inside" with the Akatsuki, he didn't accomplished much and his biggest feat was losing to Sasuke in the most hackneyed fight in the manga and his story isn't interesting either so all it was meant to do was to showcase how much stronger Sasuke had gotten and not much else.

My bet is that it ends with the Pro-Hero arc. Covering the same amount of chapters per episode as it has the last few seasons the Overhaul arc ends pretty much exactly at 1 cour, even if you count a recap episode starting out.

After that there's just not enough to fill a cour with the Culture Festival and Remedial Exam. The Festival can really only be padded out so much- something like 5-6 episodes tops. Remedial Exam can be covered basically in 1 episode and segues into the pro hero arc.

I'll bet money the last episode is Midoriya having his OH MY 7 QUIRKS NEXT SEASON wet dream after the Aoyama aside.

Things get pretty fucked for Season 5 though I think if it ever happens and this is the schedule. The Training Battle shit opens season 5 and stinks the place up for like nearly a cour and then we cruise right into My Villain Academia.

Season 2 covered almost 50 chapters and added filler, season 3 did a bit over 50 and some filler, but from where the anime left off to the end of the cultural festival arc theres 60 chapters, well get a filler episode tops and a hint of what's coming and thats it, i don't think they can squeeze pro hero arc in the next season.

The first fight was fun but long and ultimately pointless, it could have been shorter.
Fight 2 was a complete mistake.
Fight 3 was the most entertaining, fun to read but still could have been shorter
Fight 4 was the usual bakugo wanking but at least it was short
Fight 5 was shitty and made no sense but at least something happened that moved the plot forward.

Overall, it had it's fair share of cool moments but they're ultimately overshadowed by how long and pointless the whole thing felt.

2. Shitposters want attention
3. Shitposters spam threads for months on end to leech attention from everyone else, including their own kind
4. Despite making up the majority of posts in a thread, shitposters are the minority of IPs (excluding b& evasion and including lurkers)
5. Due to this, shitposters are not self sufficient. If the host dies, the parasite can only leech off of other parasites for so long
6. During weeks like these, where there is nothing to discuss, and thus no reason for a thread to exist, discussionfags leave, which in turn results in shitposters getting bored and shitting up other threads.
7. As shitposters die off, some discussionfags return to a slower, better quality thread and attempt to reinvigorate it with long, ontopic posts, drawfagging, general fun etc
