I do too, but I think there's a good balance between being grounded and mixing in some crazy stuff that S1 hit the best. I would never want Aikatsu to go over to the PriPara side of the spectrum of wackiness, but S1 added enough to be fun while not taking away from meaningful development and emotional moments.

There's been wacky shit in every Aikatsu series, I don't get why you're mad over it. What bothers me in Friends is that I generally dislike the characters, especially Pure Palette, and the animation that's been quite disappointing, not to say utterly lame in some episodes. It really felt like a cheap series to me, despite good songs and soundtracks.

The animation isn't any worse than in previous series except for OG S1.
