It's a little different I think. Technically お父さん and お母さん are more formal than ちち and はは due to the use of honorifics. You usually don't refer to someone else's dad as ちち for that same reason. It's weird how the author knows what he's doing but then doesn't show it. The problem is you have names that work like Llwyd and よる. Then you have to churn one of them through the kana sound inventory and you pop out ロイド. Then you have to put both through a Latin script transliteration, which is notably different in Japan compared to what most English speakers use. ち for example becomes "Ti" rather than "Chi" a lot of the time, and so よる gets changed to "Yor". ロイド is a fucking mess of homophony. Valid options are Loid, Loido, Roid, Roido and of course variants of Llwyd. But the Japanese system I guess favors the first one, even though the author is clearly somehow aware of the names he has chosen. フォージャー for one is on the nose and correctly adapted to Forger. Same for ブライア to Briar. Cause y'know, a briar is a thorn bush.
It's baffling sometimes how the obvious mistakes for the first names aren't pointed out when the last names are actually correct.

The premise is not a problem. There's plenty to deal with in Anya's school life, domestic life, politics, assassinations, extra spy cases, the obvious Smiths conflict, and of course parenting. It's whether the author actually does anything with that massive pool of potential.
