I still tear up/cry when I listen to the OST. How did Shinkai make such an amazing film? Will we ever see another anime director as amazing as him?

Spirited Away > Your Name
I liked the plot of Kimi no Na wa. better.
There are no glaring plot holes in spirited away
there weren't any in your name either
It's still in my backlog
imagine caring about what some faggot YouTuber named "ThatAnimeSnob" thinks.
spirited away is glaringly boring though
I'm sorry for your ADHD, user.
ITT: Overrated shit
It was average compared to his other works. Both Kotonoha no Niwa and 5cm/s are much better than Your Name.
Pretty much this. Shinkai was tryharding with Your name, his other movies feel more natural.
I didn't like Garden of Words
I still listen to the OST too. I like singing Sparkle from beginning to end. A passerby would think I can speak Japanese.
I rewatched SA last week. It’s good but I prefer Kimi no na wa. I know it’s a commercial product engineered to cheaply thug our heartstrings, but I love it. Much better than 5cm/s, you get bored. This is anime so I want to have fun watching it.
>muh ADHD
This is anime, not books.
>didn't like
So you like it now? Noice!!
Mad?
Hi Bob, still living with your mom in third world Europe?

Hearing the dreamy reversed instruments into "aaa kono mama bokutachi no koe ga" gets me every time.
Sparkle>Nandemonaiya>Yumetourou>Zenzenzense
>720p
Why would you ever elect to watch such a beautiful movie in 720p?

This was before I downloaded the Commie version. To be fair I watched it in theaters twice.

Babies first Shinkai's movie.
O MY CELLPHONE DATE
I really dislike this kind of post-Cinema Sins thing that's seeped into so much of film discussion online where a plot hole is suddenly the worst sin a film can commit, like a film's primary purpose can't be to convey an artistic vision, an emotion, a mood or something else that plot holes don't get in the way of. Now a glaring plot hole that takes you out of the story? That can be a real problem. But they're hardly the worst crime a film can commit in a lot of cases.
Was that version in the film? I don't remember it.
no
A Silent Voice is better.
Also Nausicaa > Spirited Away
You're gay.
Cringe
Hopefully never
This is what you get when a low IQ youtuber attempts to tries to sound smart.
I want Tenmon back.
>Will we ever see another anime director as amazing as him?
Yes. In fact, Naoko Yamada made Koe no Katachi in that same exact year.
More like "based cringe dilatation" amiright Yea Forums-kun?
Literally who?
Everything by Shinkai is trash for teenage girls.
