This place is braindead. They repeat the same meme buzzwords and can't watch anything besides their crappy full shit alchemist
>ITT: recommendations
Kill yourself.
You still recommended something, joke's on you.
Here's your (You)
This was a great show. Junko best whore.
Came for the future. Came from the healthy.
Desert Punk is one of the worst shows on the old rec charts.
This, but worded in a less retarded way. Desert Punk wasn't underrated on here just a few years ago when I frequented.
Probably only four anons have seen this, but that does not make it less good
Shin Getter Robo/New Getter Robo
It's like a better Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.
A family friendly shounen adventure!
I forgot the image
>underrated
really now? it's literally the Drakengard/Nier of manga when it comes to fanbase dedication.
People should of watched this instead of the Crappy FLCL cashgrab
first and third garo anime are pure kino, the second sucked tho
>there was a time when the pilot of the mecha had to be badass
I blame gundam for popularizing shinji-tier MCs in the genre
Recently started this and only on episode 4 (they’re 45 minute episodes), but it’s really good so far. Honestly surprised I hadn’t heard of it until recently.
One of my favorites
Cross Ange
Didn't everyone watch this? It was on AS or something.
I never got the praise either, honestly. The dialogue and comedy are just completely dull to me, and the anime's production quality wasn't great either.
I miss that show.
fpbp, it was a great anime
The designs are so fucking good
Pupipo! is truly underrated. I don't care if this is a not-so-thinly veiled recommendation thread, Pupipo! deserves more love. Go watch it right now.
Also, Kyouran Kazoku Nikki is great.
This one too.
I think this author's manga and their adaptation are either hit or miss, it's the same with High Score Girl
I like both anime adaptation and manga
Started strong, but got too confusing near the end. Great music though.
Why give him one but not me?
Seconding this. The OP song is something fierce too.
You both speak truth. The only problem with Figure 17 is that the first half of every episode is fantastic, and the second half is kind of crap (the last episode is mostly crap, sadly, but that doesn't make it a bad show).
My pick is literally seconds long. You have no excuse not to improve your life by watching it (or at least what's available of it).
I'm not huge on the just masses of cancerous balls designs but this one on the cover looks very nice
I'll be reading this one tonight, thanx user
I hope you like it, I love how over the top they are
is this that manga that the translators gave up translating a long time ago?
the original series aged very poorly but the 2011 sequel is the most fun kino read I had with a battle shounen in a long time
Yeah, but there's more content being released now, last chapter translated was 70
Sensei best character
Ah man, I knew this was going to be a good one as soon as I saw the star sector face
I do have an absolute fetish for any monster that takes even a tiny bit of design from seahorses though
It gets silly when EVOL hits but I love it regardless
Many people think of Ryuushika Ryuushika as just an inferior Yotsubato!, but I'm here to tell you that it's actually a BETTER Yotsubato! Every volume has at least one thing that will make you laugh (Pa fucking with Ryuushika's head by pointing out that holes are when something is missing, yet a doughnut without holes isn't a doughnut, so the hole must be adding something to the doughnut), one thing that will make you cry (Ryuushika's pet carrot dying), and one thing that will make you reconsider the nature of reality (Ryuushika discovering parallax and trying to figure out how the hell she can determine what's real).
The scans really don't do this one justice, though. The translation is flat wrong about 40% of the time (especially in early chapters), a lot of the extra chapters (and the poop interviews) are skipped so we don't get to follow ABe's stories of raising his own kid, and the quality of the printed version is no-memery worlds better than the web release. Plus no one will finish the final volume. This is one to buy and read in Japanese.
Seconding, very good
It... unfortunately, gets absolutely retarded later on. Like beyond the scale of "how the fuck does this even work?!"
READ AT YOUR OWN RISK
They revive the big bad. Absolutely titanic in size. A monster the size of South and North Korea combined. They manage to stop it at the cost of enormous losses. They think they've fun.
loljk, killing the big bad woke up all its friends. Monsters the size of the fucking United States show up; like 13 of them. From the sea halfway to like halfway to geostationary orbit. We're talking thousands of kilometers tall and as much wide. Casually strolling up to Japan from the other side of the planet.
Flashforward 15 years, humanity somehjow surprised.
It's googlyfuck retarded after like Volume 8-9.
But the monster designs are top tier though.
I'll fight anyone to defend this
gem.
It's criminal that this wasn't turned into a longer series
why is she bathing on popcorn
What do people like about this show? The cgi was so terrible and it was too short to say anything interesting
Yeah, shit scales quickly after EVOL
FMA is nowhere near the worst thing the fags on this board watch, why would that be the one you pick out. just tryna be contrarian?
I shan't read those spoilers until I'm done working through these japanese to spanish to english translations, but I'm sure it'll surpass my wildest dreams of retardation
This is moving off topic, but it reminds me a lot of a korean manga about giant ants(?) invading and I can't for the life of me find it again
I seem to remember it having some nifty creature design too
honestly such a fucking great show
really didn't pull punches and was real shit
wasn't caught up in being about beating the demon lord and going back home and was just about dealing with shit together
never read the novels because honestly didn't think there was much more to tell after how the show ended
This
absolute classics
Does this one actually go somewhere instead of just devolving into aimless bullshit like Piano no Mori?
I need more Ame
I can't wait for the anime. I'm sure Madhouse will knock it out of the fucking park.
>underrated gem

Nah, it turned to shit/boring halfway through. Great beginning though, but never bothered rewatching it.
Read it.

the manga is great, but some parts are a bit cringy
Zegapain is criminally underrated and forgotten.

Honestly, it was. People who know of it rate it, but not a lot of people knew of it. Maybe in 2007.
Call me a pleb, but I think Shin (New) Getter Robo is the best of the anime adaptations. It's like Re:Cutie Honey but truer to the manga. The first Stoner Sunshine scene in Armageddon is still unbeatable, though
I WAS LITERALLY THINKING OF THIS ABUME THE OTHER DAY AND COULDNT REMEMBER THE NAME. THANK YOU
Wow, you picked the worst Getter OVA. No animation except in the first and last episodes, extreme use of stock footage, uses the same fucking insert song EVERY episode, has a couple of incredibly formulaic motw episodes. Its saving grace is that the time travel arc and ending are somewhat interesting, but it absolutely doesn’t hold a candle to Armageddon, and none of the OVAs hold a candle to TTGL.
The Ys series which actually has an English dub.
Also...
-Outlaw Star
-Haibane Renmei
-Erased
watching this ironically is amazing
-Outlaw Star
-Haibane Renmei
-Erased
I'd call this bait if not for the one genuinely obscure [albeit shitty] Ys mention attached up front, so maybe it's just bait with a little bit of effort put in?
Only really got interesting when they started doing a SUFFERING arc.
Cringe
I thought the show was fine. What pissed me off was that it faked you out when it came to episode length.
Thought you were getting 20 minutes of action and development? No nigger you get 10 minutes of stuff and then a 15 minute music video set to background art.
Woo fucking hoo.
I still remember all the threads when people realized it wasn't just going to be a first episode thing.
>That moment in Vanishing Line with the call back to the first two anime.
ajin
Typical response from a Getter contrarian.
>gatekeeping like anyone actually gives a fuck
Maybe you should kill yourself
Gankutsou was top tier
binged this show in 2 days a few years ago and it completely solidifed my want to be a teacher here in nipland, one of the all-time greats imo.
Nice, I think this was one of the first things I watched on Youtube
The virgin Haru vs the chad Ranta.
It's a pity the threads died even for the LN.
Posting the tiddy monster since nobody has posted her yet.
It's good it's just not as good as hanasaku iroha and REALLY not as good as shirobako
Talked about plenty when it was airing but not so much anymore.
Really heartwarming series
Not a gem but generic and shitty 90s shonen manga
Not underrated
More than everything code geass is incredibly overrated. It really offers nothing over mech shows that aired during its time and certainly nothing over more modern anime.
Edgy isekai
You can hardly call it a rec thread since everything is known mainstream garbo or genuine mediocrity.
I know Yea Forums has a poor taste but 699-come_on
>desert punk

>shounen
Seething /m/fag letting Lagannchads live in their head rent free
I finished sunabouzo a couple weeks ago, besides the ending being too rushed I thought it was a great show. kanba was the perfect protag for the setting.
but it's not a gem, it's a perfectly well-known series, a staple of its era.
if we're talking about true gems educate yourself on heatguy J. goddamn this was a good series, wish it was longer
Reminder that classic Yea Forums would have rec threads in the form of chartfags, and that little push helped increase the standard of the board by a lot. Nowadays Yea Forums can hardly even mention a series that isn’t current without the kneejerk spoonfeeding reaction.
It really is, a horndog goes around with a shotgun and nobody never dies, most of the time. Wacky adventures with the group he gathers follow. Its generic as it gets
You really don't know the work.
yes it may be heavily lupin-inspired, a tad generic, but still good. you might be a contrarian if you disagree so much. the real star of desert punk is the setting.
truly enlightened
I tried this recently, liked the visuals (minus some of Yuuki's pinocchio noses), but not the writing. Bland episodic scenarios with slow / little plot, main characters felt like props half the time, and there was the mandatory god-awful edgelord character that seems to be in every single Akane Kazuki anime even if it's an adaptation. Wound up dropping it.
Is this not over yet? I dropped it way back when the girl got frozen because that was such a waste of time, but I'll maybe give it another shot once I can marathon.
Fucking love this show.
why do you keep posting this doujin? is that really all that you have? it's as if your general thread only has tiny amount of resources
how embarrassing, user
pretty comfy shit. Wish there were better rips
>Satou's wild ride
Good, but too well-known to be underrated.
>with a shotgun
Don't you dare disrespect m97-tan.
I really liked it. It's a real slow burn and not for everyone, but god damn those watercolor backgrounds were beautiful and it was nice to see an isekai where they protagonists weren't overpowered wunderkind.
the first half is a mildly enjoyable cop drama with a twist, but the second half is where it really shined. surprisingly enough, an actual plot forms and takes advantage of the unique setting, most of the characters evolve a bit. the edgelord really comes around in the end if it means anything to you. the last 5-6 episodes are a ride.
Desert punk was not funny didnt laugh
youre kidding me, right? maybe try going to threads that arent just about seasonable garbage
youtube.com
Claymore.
>shinji-tier MCs
I fucking WISH we could get an MC as complex and well done like shinji again.
Not forgotten while I'm still alive
Every thread.
It shouldn't have aired along Code Geass, the game was rigged from the start.
Jewnko >Zetsubounko
Shame, I personally liked it more than CG
lol'd hard at your post
they can't all love boku no pico as much as you
Ending of Saga was the best thing that I ever watched.
Seconding this, Ryuushika's great and is actually what motivated me to finally learn the language (though I'm still going through the basics and haven't actually gotten round to reading yet). Watching her mind go wild after hearing the silliest things is so fun and the full art spreads we occasionally get are wonderful. I really enjoyed the english scans so now I'm really excited to read the original after hearing how much better it is.
Divergence Eve is sweet as fuck. CGI is terrible but it's a good sci fi story.
His death was the best part.
You think he's amazing until you see how vulnerable he really is without all of his tricks and chicanery.
What a tasteless man
ty user it was great, who is the girl in 3rd picture?
>who is the girl in 3rd picture
If this isn't bait, I feel so old, holy shit.
sorry it isnt, now tell me
>2004
>not old
I was 17 back then, and you can be even older than me.
But you still can have a young heart in every age.
Nevada girl, she killed her class mate during class. A bunch of japs made memes of her because she looked cute.
It's a Natsumi Tsugi. Nip loli (back then she was 11), who killed her friend with a boxcutter.
Friendly reminder that not being popular or being barely rated at all doesn't make something underrated.
Here's something that's actually underrated, I remember it being fucking panned as a shitty Evangelion clone when it was new despite how good it actually was.
One of Tomino's best despite being one of his poorest rated.
I could never get past the first episode of this, it was like all the "So why should I even care about these people" shittiness I dislike about Tomino.
H artists should do more character designs for anime and games

But I have watched keijo until the end. A waste of time.
Akanesasu Shoujo

Frame Arm Girls
The amount of underage faggots in this thread is astonishing.
IT'S NOT UNDERRATED YOU STUPID FUCK, IT'S A FUCKING CLASSIC
It gets sort of rushed and way too over the top the longer it drags on, but the earlier chapters are great
It completely falls apart halfway through, stop shilling this shit and go read chainsaw man.
fuck guess I gotta learn japanese
Alright I am going to hit you guys with a fucking HIDDEN gem. I guarantee you no one on this thread has seen this show because every time I bring it up no one knows it.
Think cheesy moe.
Epic fights.
Campy edge.
And this character design.
Bring yourself back to a time when maid robots were in and now imagine a thoughtful construction on why these characters are genuine representations of humanity.
Imagine fuck fuckin' eyes.
Normalfags don't know about it ≠ Underrated.
>shit scales quickly
That's the best part of it.
Oshii's best movie
its not underrated just not that well known. Every one who has watched it rates it highly
i prefer this to eurobeat.
BUT ITS FUN! AND THATS THE POINT.
Literally the idea that shit has to be completely original to be enjoyable is retarded it just has to be well done.
Is that a middle schooler, or a midget?
>I am glad tha I have dropped cross ange in the 2nd episode.

Or maybe, you know, lurk moar. Or better, fuck out back to plebbit?
lurk moar is a pure r*ddit meme word now
This thread is filled with hipster hobgoblin bitch boys. Just because you’ve read/watched something obscure before doesn’t make it underrated on that merit alone. An “ACTUAL” underrated anime would be something like the three episode prequel to Magus Bride where the MC is still a young girl. That’s probably the most underrated anime series I could think of. Most of the junk in this thread is obscure for a reason.
s2 never
No one gives a shit about your necro-furry anime
Best taste ITT
Back when JC Staff could actually make something good.
I didn’t like the main series as much. It was a beautiful sol series and it was relaxing but that’s about it. The three episode prequel has nothing to do with furries. I don’t even know how you got that out of what I said unless you haven’t watched the three episode prequel yet which goes into my thing about it being underrated. I’d bet you if you watched it tonight you’d be here talking about it the next day.
Lurk moar for what to all the faggors claiming that works anymore? Yea Forums discusses purely seasonal shit now. Not everyone has dedicated their lives to Manga and anime and finding it. You try to keep shit obscure to have one, single thing that makes you feel special and intelligent.
This is exactly kind of attitude that attracts "lurk moar" replies. Also, lurk moar.
I really don't care. I've been on and off Yea Forums for a literal decade, and your pathetic attempts to hide shit is nothing but comedy gold to anyone with anything real to live for. Call me reddit, you couldn't be more wrong. Kill yourself.
Well, welcome aboard the bittervet wagon, son. I'm so sorry for not spoonfeeding you and your kind anything that would require literally one reverse image search or quick glimpse at filename. Now I feel bad for being such bad example for new generation but, for my excuse, while you were whining like blackpilled bitch you are I was actually doing what I like, watching animoos and reading mangoos. Hence, suck my dick.

See this thread? this is what happens when you don't enforce that shitheads lurk 2 years before posting their shit. When you allow their niggerspeak and crossboarder pointless and stale memes to take away the board's rules and established norms, when you allow newfag mods to impose their rules and denying band or deletion of shit that is normal for them but alien to Yea Forums.
10 years ago we though things were bad, holy shit how times have made shit so fucking worse that you barely recognize what Yea Forums had become
why don't you sign up to be a janny and do it for free then, faggot?
just bring WT Snacks back
>uses the same fucking insert song EVERY episode
Not a bad thing. Dragon is fucking sweet, Armageddon would've benefited from a few insert songs here or there, especially in the final battle which felt empty without one.
>has a couple of incredibly formulaic motw episodes
M-MOTW? In MY Super Robot?
>but it absolutely doesn’t hold a candle to Armageddon
The faster pacing gives it an edge at times. Armageddon's middle is just a worse version of Go's Rando war arc.
>and none of the OVAs hold a candle to TTGL.
Armageddon's visceral fights (especially once Black Getter shows up) and abstract monsters are something that can't be found in many other Super Robot shows, especially not TTGL. Manga's still better than both tho.
This is like the second or third time I've seen people talk up the prequel OVA in particular, but I don't even remember that much about it, it just didn't seem particularly better than the series to me or anything.
>Lurk moar for what to all the faggors claiming that works anymore? Yea Forums discusses purely seasonal shit now
I feel like I see Desert Punk praised every month or two.
>This thread is filled with hipster hobgoblin bitch boys
>Magus Bride is probably the most underrated anime series I could think of
The irony
I did it back in 2011, and send an application back in 2016 but got rejected for some reason. This place really needs some iron rule back, Modcat was right
you're thinking of Yea Forums's Yea Forums
that place is dead
this is 4channel Yea Forums, a normie friendly board for casual anime watchers that is mostly visited by shonen and isekai fans
>
>Edgy isekai
more like comfy isekai with a more realistic monster vs human fights. 1 person dying isn't edgy
who else wanted Desert Punk to fuck the loli?
nice seeing an isekai where the characters aren't op. also maximum comfy
i never said it was bad
Great taste. Super comfy shows.
kinnikuman is only underrated in the west because people have shit taste
Yea Forums has never been anything but a place for shitposting. Difference is that you personally liked the garbage people posted back then, despite it being eqally terrible schlock that should have gotten purged before it even hit the screens.
You mean Hive?
I tried reading the manga a while ago but the scans were awful
It's honestly kind of stupid. I love the girls though. I want daughters exactly like them.
That's the one
I seem to remember the art being rather more "korean", and better in general, but I suppose time ravages minds
Thanks for the help anyway
>Mahou Senshi Louie/Rune Soldier
Came for the Genie, stayed for everything.
Getter Robo Armageddon Was The Better Production
Utsu no miko
Time Travel Shoujo deserves better than you.
This series was bland and ran out of steam halfway before it was cancelled.
I really liked The Vanishing Line.
I didn't like VL, honestly, wound up dropping it. Certainly got further than I did in GnT, but it felt blander and less focused compared to HnK, at least if I'm not looking through rose-colored glasses. HnK had the MotW fights and all, but I feel like it had a bit more plot structure and MC development to give it a backbone, whereas VL just felt like I was watching a toku-fied version of Chrno Crusade or something.
Bruh, underrated gem? Get over yourself.
The greatest baseball anime of all time. Major.
It's also one of the best sports anime of all time.
Popular in Japan, never hear anything about it in foreign communities.
AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH
Would of been better if it wasn't produced by Gonzo
This show needs more seasons even if it means a lot of these guys will bite it
Shit, I haven't seen this since like maybe 2005 and to this day I can never find a torrent
you got one!
As far as I know, Major's manga is missing a good chunk in English scanlations. It's 700+ chapters and only about over 1/7th is done.
I thought the slow pace and calmness of the show was one of its best features
1. It's a contrast to the hectic plugged in world we live in (i.e. You are experiencing the same slow down they are after they are isekeid)
2. It makes for a bigger contrast when shit goes down
One Outs is better by far.
A lot of people are going to dismiss me right off the bat.
But the Pokemon Adventures manga is pretty good.
Well I did say Anime, not manga.
The anime is completely faithful don't think it has any filler and covers everything. (But you need to watch a movie and an OVA, but I count that as the anime)
I've heard this from several anons over the years but I still have to dismiss it right off the bat, I'm sorry. I just can't imagine it actually being true.
Too bad the author fucked this up for himself.
How come nobody gets shot? For a manga with so many guns, people rarely gets shot.
>underrated
Giant Robo is overrated as fuck.
It is the worst. Literally MALtier taste. Shitty obnoxious MC to boot.
I just want to say that I'm really glad someone else agrees with me. Yokoyama is complete boring shit in my opinion, but it seems like everyone who reads or watches his work thinks it's amazing.
watch this anime, it is really good but not so many people know about it :(
oh sorry i didn't say the title, the anine is called Jojo's bizzarre adventure :)
I don't HATE Giant Robo, there are a lot of things about it I do like. Like the soundtrack is fantastic.
But it just doesn't come together in as well as it feels like it should to garner as much praise as it gets. Usually from /m/.
i mean just because you are on Yea Forums your opinion does worth more than someone in another shit website
It was a gag manga. The author knew that there would be a significant tone dissonance if he had as much silly gag humor as he does and then smash cuts to some guy getting his brains blown out all over the sand.
So he went with a silly light tone. Until he shifted gears after the big twist at the end of the anime, which was about the what? Midpoint of the manga? and then started letting things take a darker turn.
Dantalian no Shoka
that's a nice titty bitch
It was boring.
Genma Wars: Eve of Mythology is a wonderfully terribad show and it's only 13 episodes.
Of course it is, Armageddon goes to shit as soon as imagawa leaves.

Automatically shit, sorry
I find Katanagatari underrated af, I barely know people who watched it for some reason and even if they watched it, they don't really consider it such a great anime.
Also Shinsekai Yori
Shensekai Yori is great. I love the build up. Definitely underrated.
Shinsekai Yori had a lot of attention on Yea Forums before, but generally I barely know people outside Yea Forums watching it, I honestly think it's probably best series ending-wise (except it doesnt make much sense here and there), it generally leaves no plot holes and is dishing out a FULL story.
>Katanagatari
>SSY
>Eureka
>underrated
Jesus, guys, this is getting ridiculous.
I wish they pretended GnT never happened
They made a movie for it a few months ago, even. Did anyone watch it? Did it at least have good visuals?
pic related happened at the same time Stardust Crusaders was being aired
I couldn't find any rip of the movie but the trailer looks leagues better than the series
Endro~ because it flopped.
first arc is one of the greatest anime mysteries ive seen as it doesnt use the annoying premise of an already crafted world that the author spends the whole series dripfeeding but instead uses minimal concepts and relies more heavily on characters. it also has some of my favorite character designs and fantastic background for the digital era. the second arc is the ultimate teenage melodrama garbage.
As someone who watched most of the toku series that's essentially how the Garo series are, a first half of self-conteined episodes and a second half of plot-centric episodes.
Shounen Maid - Looks like a cheap generic shota fanservice show on the surface, actually turned out to be a really relaxing healing series without feeling like a typical contrived modern cutesy SOL.
Zettai Karen Children - Not hugely underrated but smarter and funnier than you'd expect from a kid's show (Yep, it was a kids show). Kept its 51 episodes feeling fresh all the way through, never felt like a chore to watch.
Seto no Hanayome - Definitely not unknown, but possibly the funniest anime I've ever seen. Back in 2007 there was so much great anime airing that it didn't get as much attention as it deserved and Zero no Tsukaima somehow emerged as the most well-known magical girlfriend series from that period.
Kuroshitsuji - Hugely popular I know, but I think it's all too often written off as just being a gothic BL story on Yea Forums, the series itself is actually worth watching. I put it on the shelf for years because I thought it was just a fujo show with nothing else to offer.
Wandaba Style - Good comedy series with a unique premise very much in the vein of Galaxy Angel's humour if you're into that.
It's hard to think of things to list that aren't so much underrated as just old and apparently not known by newer posters here.
>kyoani
>underrated

Fantastic Children is not really underrated, as most people that know it seem to really like it, but for some reason it's not really well known.
Ayyyyyyyy
Gall Force

no that was .hack//sign
Mah nigga. Sometimes reality could be more ridiculous than the shit that happened in this manga.
Brilliant show with an abundance of spacefloof.
The miserable '96 reboot did it no favors.
I loved that one. The world built around it was awesome. I thought the protagonist was very isekai power fantasy, but it was still great and heartbreaking though
I don't think Willem accomplished much of anything aside from killing his adopted sister later in the LNs, which is less of an achievement and more of a suffering event for him. Wouldn't really call him a power fantasy at all unless you want to say having a harem makes him one.
I hate that it's so old there's prettyvmuch no doujins uploaded. That's the true crime of obscurity.
Lord Marksman and Vanadis
Kaze no Stigma (English dub kept the title untranslated in the episode previews)
Sacred Blacksmith
Grimgar
>8 years later

the doujin potential is quite vast
I'd have been happy even illustrating what might have happened during the period Junko was locked up with the punk.Even though canonically, he passed out before he was able to actually do anything.
>Giant Robo OVA
>Yokoyama
It's literally Imagawa's multiverse fanfiction
kanba only knew how to cuck himself
Robo-Dyke's wild ride was something.
Glad it's getting a second season. Barely sold enough
Nothing wrong with a good insert song but using the exact same one 10+ times in a show, around the same time each episode is abusing repetition and taking advantage of your audience's enthusiasm.
Fucking dogshit with a fanbase that has their heads too far up their own asses.
>Galaxy Express 999
>underrated
Honestly none of the OVAs are close to being as good as Gurren Lagann, you need to read the manga to hit the stuff thats legit amazing
>n-wordspeak
MODS
How many novels does the anime cover?
For him, failure is the only option for anything not involving bounty hunting. And even then his bounty is gone in short order.
>last chapter 3 months ago
>probably dropped due to being recently picked up by viz
FUCK
hidamari is probably the GOAT CGDCT
>niggerspeak
But people have been using nigga and other ebonic words since forever.
Eh i take this over summer 2009 when it was nothing but tripfags and namefags.
I still love it.
To be honest, a lot anime fans don't know either of those shows even if they used to be pretty popular.
tfw we will never have anime like this again
I'm sure you're right, but those "anime fans" are most likely hyper-casuals unaware of pretty much anything older than five years. When I was thirteen I was unaware of Lodoss War and FMP and Urusei Yatsura, but that doesn't mean those were or are obscure, you know?
Wow, I've watched this but I BARELY remember it
Hidden gem.
FMA is OBJECTIVELY a 8/10 show
Death note with a mecha slant sprinkled with every anime trope (not excessive but just enough) that ultimately defines that "anime" spirit.
>TL;DR: absolute masterpiece
Fuck the sequels, reboots and alternate timeline bullshit, however
I never actually finished this.
Looking at those tits, I think I need to get started.
Equating all mind games / keikakus with Death Note should be illegal. Geass is fuck-all like Death Note, if anything it's most like Gundam.
Why? It was great.
Please read the second volume of Ghost in the Shell.
It's not very good, though. Fantastic music, but the characters were lifeless and the plot unfocused and dull.
And all the power to ya, bro.
You go on loving it.
There's no need. It's complete dogshit. Especially the ending.
That is what most of anime fans are nowadays though. They just watch seasonal shit so they can keep up with people. They don't know word "backlog" and if they watch something that is not currently airing it is mostly everything post-2012.
>that one contrarian ITT who shits on everything posted
the girl from the well digging episode
god
damn
That's what most have always been [well, replace "seasonal" with "recent local TV airings"], but that's not really what this thread is about or else it'd be all anime except for like fifty.
Got a pic? It's been a while.
>translations are 3 volumes behind
This is so underrated amongst zoomers
I think my favourite memory has to be the village elder singing epic theme songs for both Kanta and Rain Spider.
its bullshit how the sequel series was cancelled, but on the other hand I felt it concluded nicely
pretty moral for a cute and funny show
What I really appreciated about it was how much of a diet bag the MC was, when it looked like they were going to pull a he's good at the last minute trope but then it doesnt and he ends up being as selfish as ever. is right on the money about the end of the series as well as the music.
Wait, are you referring to Robin or Punk? I do love the music for both though. Punk was less confusing than Robin. Or my memory of it is more enjoyable so it felt that way.
episode 5 & 6
theres a whole bunch of good shots of her spread through the anime
youtu.be
the rain spider episodes were fantastic but in the late episodes when kanta died and the loli became main character I was honestly thrown for a damn loops
just plays that shit straight
Shigofumi, Saraiya Goyou, Gankutsuou, Kuuchuu Buranko, and Tsuritama.
Best OP: youtube.com
Pandemonium was nice too.
Why such an obscure crop?
probably because his uniform looks hella baller
What's Nevada-tan been up to lately?
I'm looking at the picture and it looks like they've all got the same personality
tfw the prison arc hasn't been finished
>ajin
saw the trailer, looks good I'll watch it
>accidentally bumps a womans ass with his broom when he's cleaning
>she slaps him
>he slaps her back
felt so good to see someone break that trope
>Pandemonium was nice too
That it was, it tugged real good at my heart strings
Objectively a normalfag trash.
Tottemo bijin.
>spoiler
Threw me off too, but I was glad when he showed up at the end, dickish as ever.
Eden it's and endless
Summer Time Render
To think I found about it looking for cfnm scenes
>that rocket scene at the end
some of the best shit ever.
the only romcom i havent seen discussed
Picked this up because of this thread and holy shit do the translations get bad around chapter 13
I now read every character as having a terrible russian accent because of how broken the english is
>Too bad the author fucked this up for himself.
Whaddya mean?
Seriously?
>I never actually finished this.
That's lucky for you, I finished this shit.
It was really fucking bad.
That is some lovely english user.
He and some autistic scanlators had some discord tier drama and were acting like complete spergs. Now the author doesn't want anyone but his trusted traslator he pays to translate and typeset the series. The translator is equally shit at English gramma and typesetting, and is ripping the poor man off, but he's just so autistic he doesn't want a scanlation group to do it for free.
To make a long story short, this series is obscure because of autism.
Wish I remembered how to level colours.
not mutually exclusive
Sunred is a must watch SoL
This
I dont mind the obscurity but I dont like this foul play going on
It's quite something to behold.
You tell me if you would pay for this.
I miss this show, it should have a season 2
added to potential candidates
I just read what was posted on Manga Rock and they are way better
what kind of drama went on between him and the chocolate boys
>Isekai about a lawyer who has failed the bar exam every time he's taken it sent to a fantasy world and have to protect clients who didn't do anything
>Using the law from his own world to prove clients innocent.
I liked the idea mostly because I liked the Ace Attorney feel to it. It was obvious he was going to get a harem of girls but as long as the cases were fun and he found ways around them it looked like it was always going to be good.
Kind of a shame it only got around 13 chapters before being canned. The ending felt incredibly forced and rushed and honestly didn't feel like an ending. I've never heard anyone talk about it so I'm not even sure what happened.
Mangarock is shit desu, use mangadex instead.
Sho didn't like that someone was "stealing his work" and asked the scanlators to stop uploading his work, despite it actually atractting some new readers to the series.
The group first obliged, but became inpatient with Sho as he was taking too long to respond in their opinion. So they started uploading scans again, which made Sho freak out and ask them to pull the entire thing down, less there be legal consequences. Sho of cause barely has any money to feed himself according to himself, much less sue. But the scanlators diddn't know this, they pulled everything and offered Sho a deal where they would translate the entire thing for free, Sho would even get the oppertunity to market the translations, but he didn't trust the scanlators and setup a kickstarter for the first 6 chapters instead.
It's been a while, so I'm sure I'm forgetting something. But that's the gist of it.
You can read it exclusively because the art is great, but the story takes a massive nosedive after you realize how poorly they execute this very good concept.
Desert Punk isn't underrated. It's shit.
Robotics;Notes is alright
Oriko
Including the sequel.
I'm confused, is this really underrated? Most everyone who talk about it say positive shit about it.
