who the fuck is supposed to kill this guy, if Gon or any of these other weak ass characters who have been jobbing for the past 40 episodes kills this guy this show is shit.
Old man Allah ackbar nuke man should have killed him but i have to watch an entire episode of of Turtleboi over here drinking his henchmans jizz.
I thought this show was supposed to be good is HunterChad just a meme?
he'll die from the poison and also gon will transform into his adult form and oneshit pitou
Hudson Cruz
this show is fucking made for normies, asspullxasspull the only good arc was YorkTown after being told Chimera ant arc is the GREATEST STORY ARC OF ALL TIME, this shit is mediocre, only thing cool was old man beating the shit out of turtleboi
William Harris
me and the squad peeped this the other night on netflix our very first anime shit was tight
William Flores
>who the fuck is supposed to kill this guy Bottomless malice within the human heart.
Not Op but yeah that is how I started HxH. Reading the manga first, the watched the 1999 and at last the 2011. Three times, first sub and then dub. First mangastream then viz with the remastered art. I ended HxH with Phantom Rouge & Last Mission.
Thanks senpai. For some reason I thought it was shit from mangastream.
Henry Perry
I agree with former and not so much with the latter.
Josiah Sanders
>being this pathetic he posts false information and subjective opinions as if it's proof of bad quality It's been weeks now, why do you continue this insanity?
I might be exaggerating a bit on the TV dubs, but I generally prefer the subbed versions of both so I don't really see the point. There are some cases like 99 Dub Hanzo and Hisoka being better than the subbed equivalents though, true.
Ryan Foster
Welp i just skipped 132 133 134 and watched 135 because it was dragging on too much and guess what? I didnt miss anything! The pacing is so shit lmao!
At least Turtleboi got to die with his waifu but unfortunately i wasted time watching the 2nd worst arc of the series! 60 episodes? For this? Should have been 20!
Hudson Cruz
till summer is over that is september 1 by then i found another serie i can shit and critize on with the help of tvtropes and i hate your kind wait 20 days and i will shit on a another franchise

i watched both hxh and read the damn fucking manga albeit without love or passion I just wanted to find out why you fucking annoying pest praise hxh like its a masterpiece from the 7 heaven blessed by the lord god jesus himself
For Hisoka whispering to Bodoro's ear, you can easily assume that he said something like "I will kill your family and everyone you love," it doesn't add anything to actually write that out, if anything it would be worse.
The Tower of heaven arc, they left the tournament open for later arcs when they wanted, like hisoka and kuroro fight. They had plenty of tournament fights already.
Why am I writing out explanations like an autist like this.
Justin Sanders
>Why am I writing out explanations like an autist like this. Because you got baited

It definitely goes on a little long at times but there's no way it could be truncated into 20 episodes
Nolan Jenkins
kys bugmen fuck no but i did skipped some boring episodes
Ryder Brooks
I need more Morena and Prince Tse What the fuck Togashi
So then, when will Hisoka appear again? He's either in tier 2 or 3, probably in disguise, waiting to strike at the perfect moment. What do you guys think? Either he is a bodyguard or a member of the Heil-ly.
>skips episodes then complains about asspulls Yeah dumbass, you've just proven my point. The "boring" episodes are full of foreshadowing and clues for important things later on. People who skip them love to complain about things suddenly happening when all the clues are there. Stick to simple shows like DBZ and BnHA if you just want cool fights.
>Stick to simple shows like DBZ and BnHA if you just want cool fights. yeah i will and i will look up the rest at tvtropes you fucking mudak

I just finished volume 36, went from being uncertain about the succession war from it shaping up to be one of my favorite arcs. Definitely seems like it will be the cleverest
Jacob Jackson
While reading Tserriednich lines, I imagine either Bateman or Greyjoy's voice in my head, depending on the mood and/or situation.
>the tvtropes poster skips episodes Oh shit this is too funny. You would've been able to answer many of the tvtropes review if you actually understood what you watched.
>I just wanted to find out why you fucking annoying pest praise hxh like its a masterpiece from the 7 heaven No, you continue to post images from a website that has been factually been proven wrong in many plot points, and otherwise just has people's wishes for how the plot should have developed. You haven't asked anything, and even without the wank that HxH gets you haven't managed to touch on anything resembling a good argument towards it being bad or having writing problems.
You live a sad little existence where you could be doing anything productive and instead try and fail to shit on a series you barely paid attention too with arguments provided by others as dumb as you are.
>I was only pretending to be retarded You'll be at it next thread so don't make promises you cannot keep.
Jack Smith
that pic is missing koala's bit on spirits and all prior mentions regarding spirits. spirits are pretty integral to nen and emitter techniques, like how lynch's is literally punching someone's spirit out of them
I was only larping and falseflagging as a troper. I was testing you guys how you would handle TvTropes YMMV criticism and I saw a lot of good counter arguments. You guys passed and as a reward I will stop larping and falseflagging, as of today. You have my word and honor.

This is a very nice image. I'm just amazed at how Togashi has somehow made each of the princes memorable, interesting, and important to the plot by the end of the volume, rather than having half of them served as jobbers to be killed in order to build anticipation. Sad that the next 10 chapters won't be available in volume format anytime soon

>Meruem in the same tier as the royal guards >Feitan in the same tier as everyone else but Chrollo (maybe Phinks and Uvogin as well) >Welfin and Ikalgo in the same tier as Knuckle, Gon and Killua There's a lot more but your tier list needs a lot more tiers
Ryder Jackson
Kurapika should be put in B
Luke Baker
Why the hell wasn't he or Knov on the list. I'd put him somewhere around Kite. Yea he and Netero are clearly above the other RG but that's why I also tried to list the characters in order of strongest to weakest within each tier. I didn't want to spam tiers.

yea i never really liked that because of how shitty of a technique it is in actual combat. if gon maxed out his potential as an adult he obviously wouldn't even need jajanken considering a non-charged kick crippled a royal guard.

Hisoka is not the only one with hearts in his speech bubbles, and that's not even consistent with Hisoka's since they're always colored in black. It's a dumb theory that makes zero sense plot wise and it's not Togashi's style, at best it's a blatant red herring to troll people who come up with this shitty theories in the first place

Honestly, the ant arc is probably my least favorite. It's still good and has many great moments, but I think I just don't like the whole concept of the chimera ants. Also, every previous arc sort of had a web of plot points that all linked together really nicely, while the ant arc just sort of comes out of nowhere as this new threat. It kind of reminds of like an 11-year-olds imagination in a way >and then all the sudden a bunch of weird monsters come out and eat people and there's a whole army of monsters but there's also a monster king who's really really strong and no one can beat him!! also the monsters look really crazy, like one is a koala in a tuxedo, and another is an alligator in a wrestler's outfit!! Obviously it's not that simple, but it's just something that always bothered me. I feel like that arc could've been much better if it was tightened up a bit, and the whole concept/design of the chimera ants was overhauled.
Christopher Price
I kind of get what you're saying. Chimera Ants had much less setup than the previous arcs >Heaven's Arena Training in an arena where money can be made was only logical considering Gon and Killua's situation >Yorknew They planned to go to the auction earlier, it made perfect sense for the Spiders to be there, Gon and Killua needed the copies of Greed Island being sold there >Greed Island Established between Heaven's Arena and Yorknew >Chimera ants Gon uses a card and is just transported into the arc The Succession Contest was also brought about quite suddenly, but there are still several connections between what is happening on the boat to the previous arcs
Jacob Brooks

Jealous of what? I heard the main character is bland
Power level shit is retarded but how the fuck is knuckle, who Gon compared to Kite when it came to speed and strength a whole TIER below the trope? (Especially non combat members) Even at the end of the arc gon and killua would lose to him and shoot more times than not.
>Gon's "OP" form He made a sacrifice and as far as we knw still cannot use nen. The real ass pull here is Killuas trap sibling saving him. >Hisoka coming back Not an ass pull. Levi Bennett
>Gon-san Literally cost him everything he had, including his body and nen. Even after getting his body fixed by Alluka, he needs to work his nen back up. >O MY RUBBER NEN This sounds like it was written by a faggot who goes on about brain death and tries to apply it to Shounen. Nen after death was established long before Volume 34. The only people who call this an asspull are retards. >CA Queen This will matter in the Gyro arc. >Alluka This entire thing contradicts the Gon-san point they were trying to make, and it's Dark Continent foreshadowing. >Meruem's name It's meant to show his humanity. He wants to know his name because up to that point he had none. It's an important element to his character and the development of said character. I haven't caught up to the manga yet (I wait for an arc to finish before reading it in one go), but I am not bothered by spoilers. So I read this theory that says that the phantom troupe didn't kill the kurta clan, but instead the prince killed them and took their eyes. So if that is true, does this mean that Kurapika was going after them for no reason? And if he finds out, will he forgive them or what? I mean sure they are serial killers, but so are Killua, Illumi, Hisoka and many others. Will we see a phantom troupe redemption arc?
Samuel Cooper
Have you read Kurapika's Memories yet?
Tyler Bailey
Uvo admitted the Troupe killed them, it's just one of the many retarded theories that makes no sense that this shitty fanbase likes to come up with because they believe good writing is making dumb twists.
Cooper Anderson
Not yet. Uvo might have been messing with Kurapika. He knew that the Kurta clan was slaughtered and saw that a Kurta was coming after him for revenge. What was Uvo supposed to do? Say that Kurapika has the wrong guy and walk away? He said what he said to anger Kurapika, so that the fight would be better.
Jace White
>Uvo might have been messing with Kurapika It's always like that with these dumb theories, they're blatantly wrong but you dumb fucks are so dense that you go as far as conveniently and arbitrary claim that the info that disproves them is false. It's a retarded game that can be done with every piece of info in the whole manga. It makes no sense and it doesn't fit Uvo's character anyway. But most importantly, we know for sure that's not the case because the other members confirm it was them when Chrollo writes Nobunaga's theory and they see it mentions the scarlet eyes. When Togahsi came up with the Kurta plot line, Pariston or Tserriednich didn't even exist as characters his mind, he's not going to change a pivotal plot point just to appeal to some retards who drool for some cheap shitty epic twist
>I SWEAR THAT I DON'T ONLY LIKE HER BECAUSE SHE IS USEFUL AND SAVES MY FRIEND WHICH IS TOTALLY NOT WHY I'M ONLY GOING OUT OF MY WAY FOR HER NOW OR EVEN MENTIONING HER NOW

Isn't the entire point of HxH that the powerlevel don't matter at all?
Lucas Torres
Gon is true royalty in this aspect. Needing to do anything besides punch your opponent really really hard is weakness in the most pure sense. His approach to nen is absolutely the most perfect.
Nicholas Hernandez
You could possibly assume the prince commissioned the murders. There is no way he was personally involved though.
Jace Bell
Nah, Hisoka single handedly killed all of the Kurta clan, cut out their eyes and then threw said eyes away, only to make Kurapika into a strong enemy for a good fight.

>people genuinely arguing if a shonen has good writing The word shonen by itself should be all that needs to be said. So can someone explain to me why chairman Netero never went after the phantom troupe? I mean he was low key Hisoka in that he also itched for a good fight. The troupe is infamous, destructive and contains a collection of strong nen users. Why didn't he put together a team and go out on the hunt?
Jayden Johnson
Netero would kill anyone in the group before they even knew what hit them. The only one who could possibly stand a chance would be Chrollo but only if he had enough prep time.
Anthony Lopez

He was too busy and didn’t saw them as a threat.

If you want theories for the Kurata Massacre that could involve other characters in it without being too retarded: 1) Sheila was a troupe member or friend of a troupe member that was in the forest to look for the Kurata. The Kurata Elders found that she was a criminal before she departed and killed her to keep her from giving away their location to dangerous people. However, she managed tp give away the location with Nen shenanigans. The massacre was so brutal because the Troupe was taking revenge. 2) Sheila was a Troupe member and one of the Kurata learned about it and sold info about her injury and location to a Blacklist Hunter who killed her. 3) The Kurata are from the Dark Continent and Sheila was there under Beyond's orders to research their language/runes. She is not necessarily connected to the murders, but her activity there helped the Troupe find out the location of the Kurata
Blake Taylor
>So can someone explain to me why chairman Netero never went after the phantom troupe they're powerful but ultimately just criminals who aren't threatening the status quo. I bunch of crime hunters have probably tried going after them in the past tho
Wyatt Hughes
The identity of all the members in the Troupe is only known to other members. They don't really have a base of operations that you can attack. The only place they seem to care about is Meteor City, which legally doesn't exist, so any operations there would be illegal. And they are beloved by the people of Meteor City, so they will be getting information abou you faster than you could gather info about them. At least one of the members (Shalnark) is a Hunter. The Troupe had four specialists on Intel gathering and Evidence disposal (Pakunoda, Shalnark, and Kortopi, Shizuku), so they are presumably hard to track down. They were thought dead after Yorkshin.
Cooper Bennett
Too busy doing what, counting the flies on the wall?
Ethan Phillips
I heard that they made a really big deal about ONLY the village elder having a phone. Yet Pairo has a phone on him too for some reason. So maybe he sold out his clan?
Ian Evans
>They were thought dead after Yorkshin. So Gon and friends (and other people who knew it) never told the anyone that the infamous troupe is still alive and well? I guess if Kurapika told them to keep it on the down low, it would make sense.
>So can someone explain to me why chairman Netero never went after the phantom troupe? He's actually running and managing an organization and also runs a martial arts school. Why should he personally take on a criminal case when there are multiple forms of hunters that are supposed to handle that themselves?
Hudson Long
I don't read the manga actually. I just don't wanna be in hiatus land.

But you did watch both anime versions right user? Also you're here because you want to talk about the universe and lore right and killing time with fellow Hunterbros.
Kayden Kelly
Killua saved his life all things considered. Did you forget how lethal the exams can be even without people like Hisoka stalking the ranks? He's a skilled artisan but he's not a fighter, getting light injuries in the first round and walking away is better than losing a limb for a license
Henry Lee
>Beginner nen prodigy with one nen beast vs >Extremely skilled and experienced nen combatant leading one of the world's most dangerous crime gangs and has a huge number of nen abilities stored and ready to use
Lucas Cruz
the exam changes depending on the examiner, but now the mafia gonna fuck him up and take his organs
Only 2011. I'm here for the memes and hanging out with the hunterbros yeah. Is the old one really worth watching?
Jordan Stewart
>the exam changes depending on the examine Combat proficiency is still mandatory because a hunter can always be asked to apprehend criminals, we're told that in the first arc. No matter what there's always going to be some way of pruning the people who are weak and cannot fight from the exams.
Kakin Mafia members know the Troupe members by name. Mizaistom knows about Kalluto joining, probably about the identity of other members as well, surely that they are still active. Only those whose Kortopi's fake bodies where found in Yorkshin are thought dead, by the mafia anyway, possibly meaning that others wouldn't even know about some members dying to begin with it. The mafia himself was about to hunt down the remaining members before finding out that they are from Meteor City
Joshua Reed
Leorio made it through, and he was damn near the weakest person there. Killua, Illumi and Hisoka were all psychopatic killers, while Leorio just had a pocket knife. And yet Leorio made it through.
Nathan Parker
>Is the old one really worth watching? Yeah, you should give it a try. It kinda has a comfy and old 90's vibe. The OST is great and some of the fillers funny and alright.
Chrollo will help Kurapika defeat Tserriednich in an "old villain and old hero join to beat new villain" type of story. After that thtey will bury the Scarlet Eyes and have lots of steamy sex.
Landon Cruz
I ended up dropping the manga because of the art. I can understand a slight drop in quality, but some chapters are literally just Togashi scribbling.
>Leorio made it through, and he was damn near the weakest person there He's actually rated pretty high and he did win his fight in the final round against what looked like a seasoned martial artist. He's by no means weak, but he would have failed as well had it not been for his new friends. Gon and them pulled him out of a couple sticky spots like in the pre-elimination event with the old lady.
Levi Cox
Hang on a minute. Does that mean that Kurapika, Gon, Leorio and Killua (along with other survivors), kept the identities of the troupe members a secret? They saw their faces and probably know some names, and the fact that they are not dead. So they never rang up somebody and told them the info they had on the troupe? Because of they did, and then Chrollo shows up in heavens arena, then it's pretty obvious that the troupe is still around.
Jaxson Rivera
Remove ''psychopatic'' and I agree with your post.
Honestly Leorio was carried through the entire exam, he even got to automatically pass his fight that he most likely would've lost since Killua killed Bodoro.
Alexander Howard
> but he would have failed as well had it not been for his new friends. Gon would have failed too had it not been for Hisoka seeing potential in Gon and Kurapika would have failed for being stubborn.
But they were all pretty psycho. Hisoka went crazy in his bloodlust, Illumi is just all around not well in the head (even though in the exam he acted professional) and pre-character development Killua murdered random people just to let off steam. And my point is that even with dangerous people like that around, a not so skilled guy could make it to the final stage, if he is clever enough and can find allies. Might have had a chance.
Kevin Anderson
Actually I had to check and no, he didn't beat Bodoro because Killua killed the guy at the start of the round.
That's true but not my point. Leorio specifically wouldn't have even made it to the exam site if he didn't have people to reign him in a bit and keep his hot head from getting him eliminated. Gon would have made it to the exam site just fine on his own and even if you do count Hisoka taking pity on him that's 1 instance compared to 3+ for Leorio.
Leo Long
> Does that mean that Kurapika, Gon, Leorio and Killua (along with other survivors), kept the identities of the troupe members a secret? Eh yes, they kept it a secret. >They saw their faces and probably know some names, and the fact that they are not dead. Pretty much, so what? They have no beef with the Spiders anymore and nothing to gain for killing or reporting them. >then Chrollo shows up in heavens arena, then it's pretty obvious that the troupe is still around. As far as the Yorknew maffia is concerned, Chrollo is dead and to others, Chrollo is a mystery. Besides it's possible some young males look a bit like Chrollo...
Why is Kurapika able to heal his broken arm instantly with white magic, but Pitou -- whose nen ability requires her entire aura output -- needs about an hour to perform surgery?
Does this confirm Emperor Time Kurapika > Pitou?
Daniel Collins
who cares, he keeps the thread lively
Jace Scott
>Actually I had to check and no, he didn't beat Bodoro because Killua killed the guy at the start of the round.
misunderstand here btw, am talking about the time killia had to redo the hunter exam, and he knock out everyone, should have let my guy come in 2 and get his license
Jose Russell
All the Troupe members have to do is change their name. Voilá, Kurapika's ability will just kill herself now.
>phantom troupe redemption arc Aww yeah. Togashi is gonna pull the ol' they ain't that bad once you get to know em' trick. He will reveal an even worse villain than the troupe, move the troupe towards anti hero status and stops mentioning their old crimes. If Psychopaths like Hiei and Killua can turn good and be forgiven their 100+++ bodycounts, then Togashi can do the same for the troupe.
Carter Thomas
>Hisoka went crazy in his bloodlust, Yes, borderline-sociopath and a mad man. >Illumi is just all around not well in the head Correct but it's due his upbringing and circumstances, but he's cold and detached, probably depressed aswell. > Killua murdered random people just to let off steam. Yeah, 2 innocent people but Killua was angry and full of bloodlust. He couldn't help himself. I agree with the rest of your post, only the psycho bit I disagree with.
Oh, well if it was down to Killua and that guy I'm not sure how the judge would process that. Especially since artist dude would obviously not have done any of the work and Hunter's aren't that carefree.
Someone who posts for 10 hours straight even if it has nothing to do with anything isn't a great addition to the threads. There's already enough cancer around here anyways

>Someone who posts for 10 hours straight even if it has nothing to do with anything isn't a great addition to the threads. What are you even talking about?
We don't know but in my opinion either Kurapika or Hisoka after the death match leaked info on them, possibly on the hunter website, which would explain how Kakin Mafia recognizes the members by name
Ethan Ward

Parker Johnson
So long as Zepile could master nen they might have let him keep his license. It all comes back to Leorio being little more than an active hinderance during his time taking the exam and only skirting by thanks to his three friends. He ended up mastering nen and sticking around.
There's a tripfag who posts in the OPM threads, has the continued habit of using manga pictures as pseudo avatars and posts quite literally nonstop on a day to day basis. Seeing posting pictures that had nothing to do with his actual conversation has me wary he's the same guy with the name and trip off.
How about you lead into the actual conversation of the royal family then? Nothing wrong with wanting to discuss something but you have to make it a topic beyond just posting pictures.
Grayson Phillips
That is to say, an kind of nen that could actually be used to fight. I'm pretty sure that's a requirement.
For anyone who actually believes that the troupe or Chrollo isn't all that bad, remember that Chrollo very recently killed hundreds of innocents in the Heavens Arena just to kill one guy. There is no way Togashi will go back on that.
The bombs were all puppets, not real people. The big explosion happened in the middle of the ring, far from the spectators. Some died but surely not hundreds
Matthew Cruz
Here I used the wrong pic , sorry about that. Don't worry I'm not Mangus nor do I post in OPM thread. But thanks for warning me about him though. Where do you think Ging and Pariston mind games and playing with each other will take the story?
Chrollo couldn't even kill a clown, instead he got two of his friends killed and is now a salty little bitch about it.
Caleb Bell
The requirement for Nen isn't related to combat, just that hunters have to be able to subdue criminals if asked. People that pass can do so like Leorio but that's still to say he had the actual physical capabilities and strength to back up most of his bluster unlike Zepile who again, is just a highly skilled artisan at that point. I don't see the disco judge passing him by default under the same terms that Leorio was also allowed to get his license in the end because someone else killed his opponent.
I'm just paranoid is all. >Where do you think Ging and Pariston mind games and playing with each other will take the story? If Pariston's idea of love entails fucking with the Chairman during a major event which wound up leading to his death however indirectly. I expect Pariston will outright be trying to get Ging killed in some horribly unnatural way in the Dark Continent while Ging works to stay a step ahead of him. I'll admit though that I have an impossible time reading Pariston. Can never tell what he's thinking even when he's talking because he's utterly two-faced about everything most of the time. Ging is also hard to gauge for different reasons, he's incredibly straightforward so I know what he wants, I just have to see whether they decide to stick to the plan and try and break Beyond out after the true dark continent is reached, or if they become another factor in the succession war, although I think if they do it will be a late arc development.
I do expect that with Togashi shifting the focus to more logistical and utilitarian abilities being important for this arc, that Pariston's ability will be related to some indirect means of influencing things fitting his methods.
Julian Sanchez
He killed Hisoka. Hisoka just came back to life.
Parker Myers
Chrollo won't be making it off the boat alive.
Jayden Gonzalez
>implying Togashi has the guts to kill Chrollo before his next fight with Hisoka.
>I'm just paranoid is all. No problem, user. I understand why. Remember Pariston still has the 5000 chimera-human hybrids at his disposable. Where and when is he going to use those 5000 nen-soldiers? It's possible Pariston also has other agents within the Black Whale, waiting to break Beyond free and/or cause chaos during the succession war. All in all, Ging and Pariston are very interesting and I hope for the time being they both survive the trip.
Dylan Scott
Just finished the anime. The ending of the ants arc made her death feel so pointless. Also lol at muh radiation poisoning.
Luis Ward
She faked her death to escape from that psychopath Gon.
I seriously doubt that but hey, to each it's own, I guess. But he would be the perfect ally for exploring the Dark Continent and having him as a bodyguard/handyman during the Succession War.
Implying that he wouldn't join the phantom troupe as a replacement for Uvo. Also he is basically YYH version of Hisoka, meaning that he would view Gon and Chrollo as potential good fights.
Juan Perez
>nuke radiation poisoning
Jason Morris
I felt exactly the same when he was resurrected via esoteric gay orgy but his ultimate fate was far more satisfying than if he had died to Netero's nuke so just keep watching.
Imagine the succession war arc animated. I kinda wonder about the voice actors, sound effects, graphics, character design and the soundtrack. Can we also except some fillers and cut or changed contents?
I see it, Benjamin guards will keep jobbing, Benjamin totally desperate will attack Tserriednich and with King Crimson will rip Benjamin heart out, making Benjamin the biggest loser in the history of hxh.
Everyone who argues that Alluka is not an asspull is a braindead hunterdrone that can be safely ignored. This point is literally undebatable and cheapened the entire world of HxH similar to greed island.
Angel Flores
>we knew about Alluka's existence since the first arc and she was shown directly in Chimera Ant arc >we knew that the HxH world was way bigger than we were told since the FIRST fucking page that literally says "unexplored lands" >we knew that there were strange creatures since the Hunter Examm (the shapeshifting things that took Gon and his friends to the exam location, that big ass turtle with strawberries, that giant frog etc) >we knew that there were stronger powers that went way beyond nen ever since Melody told s about the Sonata of Darkness. >Killua didn't use Nanika before because of Illumi's needle and also how dangerous it would be to reveal to the world of Nanika's existence. He used Nanika only because of the extreme situation that Gon was in. >Silva literally says "that thing comes from somewhere else, its not of this world" >Nanika is a confirmed AI (one of the 5 calamities from the DC) >Zigg Zoldyck was in the DC and he brought to the human world an AI >AIs are based on "co-dependance of desire"
Consider actually reading the series. Or are there too many words for your widdle brain to handle?
Her powers were not shown before which makes your entire point about her introduction irrelevant since this is literally the only things that matters. Also the usage of her "positive powers" comes cost free which is the first time in the entire manga and breaks literally every point the manga ever tried to make.
It came out of nowhere at the most convenient time which can only be described as an asspull. Alluka and Greed Island single handedly dropped the manga to a level of childish writing when it otherwise would be for young teenagers.
Adrian Ward
I beg you pardon?
Kayden Torres
I want to impregnate Pitou and take responsibility!
This is a very low IQ post, let me explain to you why. This user cannot even comprehend the thought process that goes in writing because, much like the rest of Berserkplebs, he never paid attention in lit class. This is also why he's able to enjoy it post-Golden Age.
Alluka isn't an asspull by definition. Gon's state after his pledge had no precedent in the series, we, as readers, had no way to scale just how fucked he was. It is Togashi who did give us a way to assess it, when he wrote that scene with the exorcist saying there's nothing she can do.
This scene is important, because as far as we knew, that exorcist could just as well have been able to save Gon. Togashi could easily have written it that way or take any direction he wanted to. It could have been an arc about Killua going on some faggy quest on a goofy elf island to find the greatest nen exorcist, but instead Togashi introduced a character that not only gave us a glimpse of how dangerous the DC was going to be, but also set in motion a lot of events within Killua's family and possibilities for future plotlines: Killua finally found a goal, Illumi now has even more reasons to try and control him, Gon and Killua parted ways for the first time since like chapter 5, and all of this is obviously going to tie in with the DC and calamities.
You're literally saying you're so delusional about an author's capabilities and his dick is so deep in your throat that you choose to believe that he picked the less sensible option because of excellent writing instead of just being a fuckup like greed island.
That's why no one takes hunterfags seriously. You're at the same level of delusion as fatefags.
So aside from the leading ants, are there any other characters who would have stood a chance against Netorare? Not defeat him, because we know he is the strongest around, but to put up at least some sort of a fight against him. And for a handicap, it's pic related Netero they are up against, and not the ''all warmed up and ready for final battle Netero''.
So how do "hunterchads" argue the writing quality of Gon's consequences being erased by Alluka which is akin to the writing of Dragonball. I would really love to see the explanation you could come up with that makes this superb writing.
Brody Johnson
Benjamin stopped Cammy's attempt and allegedly killed a prince. His guards aren't jobbers, but all of his jobber guards are dying so that he can showcase their powers.
Noah Rodriguez
>so seething from BTFO that he repeats the argument he just lost Keep dancing, puppet. We love the free bumps. No other manga has threads this active while on hiatus.
My one fear is that Furykov is a Specialist whose power swaps someone's primary nen type on contact or anything that makes him perfect death fodder for Benjamin Baton. Predator has a huge cooldown period so Rihan doesn't have a massive deathflag, and Babi is probably more likely to come out of this alive than Benjamin himself.
Dylan Wood
Oh fucking hell, I wanted to type Netero but my spellcheck changed it to Netorare and I didn't notice. Now my post is ruined.
Christopher Torres
>He will never be able to use nen again >Lost his only real friend forever >Written out of the story
Henry Thompson
There is nothing to discuss. Gon can't use nen and he isn't even featured in the current arc which is a consequence of his actions during the CA Arc. Did you even read the manga past the 2011 anime?
Chase Clark
Gon will probably get nen again from what Ging said, but his potential might've been thrown out the window and he'll become a Specialist with a new hatsu or something.
Only Conjurers and Manipulators can become Specialists.
Daniel Watson
You say that like his life was minor compared to his nen capabilities. He put his life on the line for the powers and remains perfectly healthy with a pretty big possibility of reawakening his nen in the future.
You're literally arguing that the writing isn't bad because he got some kind of consequence but disregard that he payed a minor price if at all for powers that made him even with the ant king.
Nolan Smith
I really doubt it, Togashi doesn't have the time or the fucks to write about Gon again. He was still pretty strong even without Nen, so it's not like he would have troubles in his life, but lacking Nen means he's out of any plot involving Hunters. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Togashi decided to take the chance to give him a new power, but at this pace he won't even get to Kurapika's death.
Matthew Hughes
I am fairly sure that Benji will at least be able to kill Cummy, and that his fight with Tsrrriednich will at least serve to clue other characters on Tserriednich's power. So at least he won't be as big of a loser as the Shadow Beasts.
But yeah, the guy is dead.
Anthony Phillips
Where is the explanation of how all of this is great writing, especially the part of Allukas existence? You hunter retards always try to argue in universe logic instead of writing quality.
Henry Walker
Uvogin says he remembers killing them when he's fighting Kurapika. Unless he was lying (which he'd have no reason to) that kills the theory.
Hudson Thompson
Literally in a state of panic because of BTFO. Keep it coming.
The point is, he's paying the price he said he would pay. His contract was "gimme all the power that I would have at my peak, in exchange for not using nen again". The damage to his body happened because it was just too much aura to handle in his actual state. Alluka healed that damage, but the loss of Nen wasn't damage, it was part of the contract, and it remained lost.
Joseph Torres
Killua's a completely different bag of worms. He's not a bad person by any means, he was just raised in shitty circumstances isolated in a mountainside mansion.
Jose Murphy
This. The damage on his body was caused by the massive increase in aura (Nen baptism uses the same logic, while aura is life energy, too much aura can damage anyone). Alluka could heal the physical damage because it wasn't part of the restriction. Gon gave up the potential to ever use Nen again for anything else than beating Pitou, he wouldn't have even be able to use that form against another opponent. Alluka couldn't return him his Nen because that was part of the pact, so, even if he has aura because he's still a living being, he can't use Nen.
He merely has the last set of eyes that Kurapika couldn't get, it could be that he had paid the Ryodan from the beggining to get him the eyes, but Kurapika would have known about him beforehand, and he wouldn't have only one pair of eyes.
>for powers that made him even with the ant king. But that is not true. Pitou says "his fangs could have reached the King", but that hardly means he became his equal, and Pitou could have just been telling thay to herself to avoid feeling miserable about getting squashed.
Plus, feats-wise, Meruem FAR surpasses Gon. Meruem blasted a mountain top with an energy beam. Gon's punches seemed barely stronger than Big Bang Impact judging by their impact on the rocks around the fight. If Gon was Meruem's equal that whole building woulf have exploded.
Nathaniel Gray
No, he demanded powers to kill Pitou regardless of the consequences. Kurapika offered his life for a much smaller ability.
Anyone who says that Gon only payed with his nen and not with part of his life is just sugarcoating the entire part and all of its consequences.
So whats stopping a Nen eraser from erasing this contract from Gon?
Jeremiah Bailey
His power definitely reached the king, he was just not durable and lacked any kind of technique or intelligent fighting as he was one track minded in his rage and sorrow. We even saw that his final punch with which he erased the corpse of Pitou was much stronger than the ones before them.
Isaac Nguyen
Alluka's powers were fine. We knew the Zoldycks had another kid who we never met since they were introduced. That kid having mysterious powers that they found scary is not that out there, either. Nanika's powers as they were initially introduced were fine. You get a wish but also hundreds of people you know die? That is fine. Actually pretty balanced for a wishing power and hits just the fine line of abusable in the wrong hands.
The only shitty part is that whole "Killua gets free wishes because Nanika loves him" thing. But: 1) I am fairly sure that Togashi's original plan was to have Killua choose to not use Nanika for that and to have Leorio bring something from the DC to heal Gon. He just changed it because he wanted a happy note for the ending of the 2011 anime. There is lots of foreshadowing for this being his plan and also matches the current outline of the plot. 2) Togashi will just introduce a drawback for Nanika next time she shows up just like he introduced a drawback for Emperor Time this arc. My guess is that he'll say that Killua using commands too much could kill Nanika. And that is going to be it. Stakes will return and Nanika will be usable by the plot.
Gon probably has a much bigger potential than Kurapika, no? Wing, Bisky, Razor, Netero... all of them were astounded by his potential while nobody said that Kurapika is some unrefined diamond. Thus, it would make sense that Kurapika would get less revenue with a bigger investment in comparison to Gon.
His great potential is the reason he could do the transformation in the first place. I think there are only a handful people if at all in the HxH world that could do the same even if they had the same resolve as Gon.
But what I don't like about your implication is that Gon would have remained unhurt as long as his body was strong enough to handle it. We know for sure that Gon really meant to give everything including his life in his demand to receive powers that allowed him to kill Pitou. Why is Gon's resolve irrelevant to this discussion when this is literally all nen is supposed to be? Gon offered everything, absolutely everything regardless of the consequences. It's not like he is bargaining for power, he resolved to give everything and he receives power equally for what he offered. There is nothing else to it.
Sebastian Murphy
I don't see him currently getting involved in the DC or at the very least this arc of the DC. And if his potential is gone it's a good opportunity for a Specialist power less revolving around power. Gyro and Gon should be pretty big, if not the big concluding arc that brings all four protagonists together again.
>kurapika's death don't take his interview answers so seriously. especially when it was handwaving the obvious relationship with hisoka and machi last time. unless you're just making a prediction
Sebastian Diaz
Welfin and Ikalgo will become the next protagonist of the upcoming Gyro arc. Yes Hisoka and the Spiders will be there too.
Carter White
I don't get why Gonfags think this proves anything. All living things have aura, Nen lets you see aura. Among other things. And Ging scolding Gon about the fact he should be grateful just to feel alive implies that he doesn't think Gon should push too hard on trying to restore his powers. It is not encouraging to him at all in that direction.
Still, I do think Gon will recover his Nen somehow after the end of the Dark Continent arc, but mostly because the power system doesn't let him do much without Nen. And if Gon does recover his power, he will probably also create a new Hatsu. Saying he'll change his Nen type is a complete baseless gamble, and the only reason anybody in the fanbase thinks that could happen is that they think "enhancers.are boring".
Jaxon Howard
Gon would have never matched up to the king but in that one moment his strength and aura rivaled the king's at least the version Pitou remembers. The king has 200+ IQ, the sharpest instincts, enormous durability and speed, much greater abilities and potential and all this without even developing any nen control.
I created this pasta and it always shuts up speedreaders
Lucas Allen
Nothing except being powerful enough to bear the burden, which is why the hunters called an exorcist, not a nen doctor, she just wasn't powerful enough, unlike Nanika. Gon still has his nen, only his pores are closed again. The fanbase is full of retards like all the others so they believe he'll never have nen again, once he'll get it back they'll just pretend like that's what they've alway said and move on
Jeremiah Evans
>His contract was "gimme all the power that I would have at my peak, in exchange for not using nen again". Why must HxH fans always straight out lie to protect every single detail of their manga?
Why does your spellcheck change something into Netorare?
Hunter Rodriguez
Literally every single word but please provide the manga page where he says that.
Wyatt Rogers
>Uvo knows the Kurta clan story >Knows that the spiders have been blamed for it >Suddenly someone comes after him real angry like >Turns out it is a Kurta, who blames him for the death of his clan Uvo is a fighter who loves combat. A blood knight. Ofcourse he will say something that will piss Kurapika off enough that the fight becomes even more intense. Had it been his inner monologue, then there would be no chance that he is lying. But because he smugly starts taunting Kurapika about it, it can be read as him improvising on the spot to get a rise out of him.
Atleast Gon and aunt Mito are together. Leading a comfy live at Whale Island, far from the corruption, violence, death and dark shenigangs
Ayden Hall
Reminder that Phantom Troupe is kino and chimera ant is overhyped shit
Leo Fisher
What if it is a skinhead fetish?
Ian Gray
Uvogin wasn’t a pov character.
Connor King
I agree, the category swap for Gon is one of the most dumb and annoying theories in the fanbase. Plus enhancement is canonically the best category for fighting and Gon has to fully develop paper and scissors yet
Andrew Foster
Don't forget Gon's future wife who was waiting for her on whale island all along.
Its stated by both Pitou and Killua in ep 131 and by Morel and Ging in the Election arc.

Until Genthru shows up one day to get revenge and gives Gon the slow and painful death he deserves.
Samuel Price
No it isn't. Killua even straight out wonders what price Gon had to pay for his powers in that episode.
Gon fought with the intent to throw everything away which was also stated by Ging here Tell me user, do you get sexually aroused by lying?
Justin Ward
>No argument At least stfu and stop replying if you realize you're wrong and have nothing to say you dumb fuck, keep your retarded theories for yourself next time
Joseph Gutierrez
>It came out of nowhere at the most convenient time which can only be described as an asspull To be fair, your ignoring the fact that the Election arc and Alluka specifically are supposed to show us the actual major threats in the Dark Continent and how they are reality breaking monstrosities.
Alluka defying the rules of nen is a major thing because by all arguments, her wishes aren't nen to begin with.
>greed island The fuck is your problem with Greed Island
One page before that Pitou even states that he compressed his life. She says that in regards to his great potential that he sacrifice entirely for that, this doesn't even dismiss that he also offered up his life.
Pic related is what Gon offered, everything. I will also post what Killua stated even though it's literally irrelevant what third parties think if Gon and Ging literally stated that he offered everything.
Yeah but her first statement was generic and in the page I posted, she gets more specific. Gon sacrificed his nen in order to get all his potential power for that specific moment. This is canon. That's why Gon can't use nen anymore.
Adam Smith
Gon sacrificed everything, which is literally canon. If you honestly think Gon thought "I offer up all my nen and potential for power" than you're dumb as fuck. He intended to throw everything away including his life, he didn't care what happened to himself, he just wanted to kill Pitou. How can you not understand this simple fact?
He would never gain this power without the resolve to die. How are you unable to comprehend this?
Noah Anderson
Then why is he still alive and all Nanika did was exorcise his nen?
Leo Davis
I love how Togashi baits shonenfags by starting to go on the path they are familiar with, but then giving them a different climax than normal shonen. Usually in a shonen, the villain is insanely powerful, then the hero powers up thanks to the power of friendship and beats the main villain. >Here, Meruem gets revived and is the strongest character yet. >Gon suddenly gets a massive powerup. >They fight right? >Nah >Gon gets spent and destroyed after fighting a miniboss >Meruem dies from radiation poisoning, while playing a board game with a girl. >The main hero and the main villain never interact, and both of their powerups are not used for the solution of the conflict. Suck it shonenfags.
His life literally faded away, he had mere days to live despite the best efforts of the entire hunter association which probably involved the best modern medicine and nen medicine had to give to extend his life artificially. >all Nanika did was exorcise his nen Nanika completely restored him physically, stop speedreading.
Adrian Clark
You're a retard forcing headcanon onto established canon. Gon canonically sacrificed his nen - this is explicitly stated during the scene. Damage to his body was a byproduct of the massive increase in aura (a deliberate callback to Nen baptism). That's why they first contact a Nen Exorcist to try healing him. If his life was directly part of the contract like with Kurapika's Chain Jail he would have died on the spot.
I'm not particularly into Gon, just good at understanding the story and seeing where it's heading. When Gon speaks to Mito he notes that he didn't have nen when he met his dad, and his whole opinion is that his aura is gone and that's what Ging corrects. If Gon still has aura he can still use nen, but he'd have to rework his understanding. The reason why I suspect the possibility of a retyping is that Enhancement would be far weaker if his potential is permanently gone(which it might not be), and since the beginning it was stated that events can change your typing so it would be a nice callback.
Personally I'd prefer he do some more with his fishing rod, but I've never seen anything wrong with Enhancement and I believe a lot of people misunderstand how it can be applied(a lot of people wouldn't accept that Gon-san was Enhancement before Bill's ability). Though Shu on his fishing rod could still fall into the realm of Enhancement, so if he did get a fishing rod hatsu + new typing it would be a weird power.
Gon lost his arm naturally. The point that Nanika completely restored him is not up for debate.
Nathan Williams
>just good at understanding the story and seeing where it's heading You can't even understand the current plot, let alone what's going to happen in the future. >that's what Ging corrects Ging tells him that he has aura like all living beings. He still can't use nen. > If Gon still has aura he can still use nen He canonically can't, see You seem upset that you lost the argument but it's time to stop forcing your cringeworthy headcanon.
Please don't respond to me my ESL friend, you keep linking a pic that is in line with what was already established dozens of chapters ago when Gon couldn't create aura and contacted his dad.
Joseph Allen
I'm debating your claim that Gon didn't sacrifice his nen and his potential in order to get a power up to beat Pitou. Which is an accepted canon fact by everyone except you. The fact that we see dark aura coming from his body means that there was a nen exorcism.
Brandon Phillips
Headcanon. Both the manga and the anime show that it was Gon's nen.
Jaxon Russell
Hisoka wasn't in the CA arc despite being in every other arc in the story because he would've killed Meruem by himself.
This literally doesn't make sense as it implies Gon was rational when he paid the price. Gon never intended to just give his nen and potential, he literally didn't care about what happened to him, he intended to throw everything away for the power.
This is literally what happened. Whether only his nen was taken from him is up to debate but that he offered everything is a fact.
Tyler Wilson
Well other things definitely had to be taken from him since part of the hatsu was forced aging.
Jordan Johnson
nah senpai, once gon relearns nen he's gonna be a conjurer
Kevin Foster
>This literally doesn't make sense as it implies Gon was rational when he paid the price. He doesnt need to be rational. The nen contract was already formed. >he intended to throw everything away That "everything" away refers to his nen potential, as stated by Pitou a few pages later.
Owen Perry
He WAS rational. That's why he calmly asks Pitou to step outside before calculatingly smashing her head in just like he learned from Kite. It's a subversion of the typical "MC goes berserk in a blind fit of rage" like you see in Naruto and Bleach. If you thought otherwise you missed the point and should re-read HxH once you have a better reading comprehension.
No point continuing to argue with you, you don't show interest in the question, only in your ego problems. He was not calm and he was not rational. He was literally seething with rage and sorrow. He never before showed anywhere near the amount of killing intent. Come back once you actually want to discuss things instead of just feeding your ego. I don't see how a nen exorcist disputes the fact that the contract drained his life. After all he could never heal naturally as long as he was bound by his contract. Once all the nen was sucked out only his life force remained that would be continued to be drained by the contract. If it was only a matter of healing his body then they could have used some other method like Greed Island, Ging would have definitely helped if that was possible. But it didn't matter, they couldn't just restore his body, they needed to cut the contract as the contract would always keep on draining life force.
Does anyone want to discuss this rationally or is this thread just full of people that want to win internet arguments for their tiny egos?
Owen Brooks
You are the only one who thinks Gon didn't sacrifice his nen to get a power boost. Togashi himself makes this clear in the pages posted above. What's your agenda here?
Benjamin Kelly
No, I never said this. It's obvious that he sacrificed his nen and potential. I'm only arguing for the fact that he has thrown away everything, including most of his life force.
Brody Parker
Life force is nen
Colton Taylor
So why are people arguing against me the entire time that he merely sacrificed his nen ability and potential but not his life?
Hudson Thomas
Yeah, obviously he could relearn nen. But he won't be learning it again for a long time.
Nathaniel Smith
>He was not calm and he was not rational. Any number of blanket statements that simply assert yourself to be right without evidence or backing is not a valid argument. When you lose an argument at least concede with grace, I can't think of anything lower IQ than continuously trying to save face on an anonymous imageboard.
>Does anyone want to discuss this rationally Translation: "Does anyone want to succumb to my retarded headcanon and not provide evidence that proves I'm a speedreading retard"
>I can't think of anything lower IQ than continuously trying to save face on an anonymous imageboard Then stop doing it.
Lucas Powell
Because life =/= life force His contract was that he won't be able to use nen anymore, but he still has nen, because all living beings have nen in the Hunter World. He just can't use it, as Ging said in the page you posted. He did NOT sacrifice his life, that wasn't part of his contract, otherwise he'd have been dead right on the spot in East Gorteau.
Jack Anderson
>no u >can't formulate an argument
Better luck next time, loser. Remove your low IQ presence from this den of Hunterchads.
What does that page add to what we already knew, dumbfuck? We already know that he can't use nen right now, that doesn't change the fact that all he has to do is open is pores again, retard
Don't bother, this is someone who actually thinks Gon, Leorio, and Killua are floating in a void somewhere.
Leo Flores
What?
He can't use Nen period. Keep coping with your headcanon.
Jaxon Long
So let me check a few things it doesn't matter how wrong I am, I just want to check with you the facts as you seem to be a rational guy who knows his stuff.
1. Gon intended to throw everything away just to receive the power to kill Pitou, he never specifically stated to just exchange his nen and potential, he had to resolve to use up everything 2. Gon's life force/nen was continuously drained by his contract, merely healing his body was useless, the contract needed to be broken for him to live 3. Alluka sealed or removed his nen and restored him physically, she didn't have the ability to break the contract
Tyler Powell
Ging said he's back to normal, which means he's like a normal human who with his pores opened, being unable to learn nen is not a normal state
Joshua Murphy
>Chrollo can't use nen period
Ryan Stewart
Based OC, saved.
>another bump limit thread while on hiatus We literally can't stop winning.
as in, what is the real English translation for the page you posted
Elijah White
>Ging said he's back to normal Canon >which means he's like a normal human who with his pores opened Headcanon >being unable to learn nen is not a normal state Headcanon
Hudson Roberts
*with his pores closed
Nicholas Green
Headcanon
That's the legitimate page, it's a gag cover acknowledging that Kurapika is the only one getting attention.
Jace Rodriguez
So being back to normal means he'll never be able to use nen again, based retard. Plus being back implies a state in which Gon already found himself in the past, which is with his pores simply closed, he has never been in a situation in which he wasn't able to learn nen
Ryan Peterson
>use up everything Exactly. That's how the contract worked, he sacrificed his nen potential for a power boost. This is what Pitou said. All Nanika did was bring him back to normal. That's what the VIZ translation says "Bring him back to how he was", something along those lines. Killua doesn't say "heal him" like the Niggerstream version says. So what Nanika did was bring him back to what his condition were before he took that contract.
Hunter Young
I never said he wont be able to use nen again, because we don't know and it could work either ways. So every assumption is headcanon for now. >Plus being back implies a state in which Gon already found himself in the past Headcanon
Gavin Williams
You need a better argument, or to reread. Gon's aura being permanently sealed would require additional confirmation, so regarding that is the "headcanon"
Chase Martinez
>Can use nen, just needs to open his pores >Can't use nen Which one sounds normal to you, genius? How many people are unable to learn how to use nen no matter what? Almost nobody, thus they're not the norm. We know that everybody can lean nen with training, that's the norm
Cooper Garcia
Are you that dumb? If you're back it means you're somewhere you've already been in the past, did you even go to school? How can he be back to a state in which he's never been in?
Matthew Campbell
Never read this series, but i always wonder.
Whats with the discount Cell form Dragon Ball in it? Is it like cross series thing or what?
Jacob Allen
Why can't he use his nen if he's back to "normal" like you say then? Gon not being able to use his nen was stated 2 times in the manga.
Andrew Lopez
Togashi admitted that he was heavily inspired by Cell when he designed Meruem, there is nothing else to it.
Isaiah Diaz
>he sacrificed his nen potential for a power boost You can keep trying to dance around this but Gon is the one who set the terms and everyone else is just interpreting it based on their respective knowledges. Gon said everything, this does not mean one thing specifically, and just as Pitou mentions that Gon's nen potential was used, Killua notes his body has aged proportional to decades of training meaning his ability has also tapped into his life span which is fine because lifespan is part of 'everything' for Gon.
Caleb Perez
Explain why he can't use nen, then.
Brandon Robinson
Because you have to open your pores first, either by meditating or by getting hit by a nen attack
Anthony Clark
If Gon will never be able to use nen again than HxH is a good series. If he relearns nen than HxH is a shit series.
I say it as it is.
Eli Myers
You're stretching it. Everyone understands that he sacrificed his nen potential for a power boost. That's all there is to it. Nothing complicated.
Jonathan Foster
Will you kneel before my feet like an obedient hound when your fan-fiction gets debunked by Togashi?
Leo Thomas
>Togashi admitted that he was heavily inspired by Cell when he designed Meruem, there is nothing else to it. Inspired is what i call having a character share clothing style, hair style, a catchphrase, or even art style, this looks like it was badly traced. Cell had multiple unique design elements all of which are present in this character.
Man but i for real thought for a long time now this is connected to Akira Toriyama work in some way ....
Gavin Sanchez
He deconstructed the DBZ arc, that's why there are a lot of DBZ elements in CA
Kayden Thomas
Goncuck >Already peaked, will never be as strong >All to pointlessly kill a miniboss who would have died anyway to avenge a mentor who had already been reincarnated >Dropped from his own fucking series
Kurapichad >Getting better by the chapter >Constantly making progress in his goals of killing spiders and collecting eyes >Will be the most important character for the next 5-10 years it takes for Togashi to get them off this boat
Adrian White
Cell is garbage user. Even by the low standards of dragon ball villains Cell is so shallow. He seeks to 1. get stronger and 2. have a good fight. Those are the only things driving his character and it never changes.
Meruem purposely deconstructs this, he has an actual character arc where his worldviews change more than once, and at the end he has to reevaluate what's important to him entirely. He doesn't lose his egotism entirely, but he treats other people far differently from his beginning to his end, for no other reason than his values and experience.
Nen abilities are all mental contracts and conditions the user makes up and manifests through sheer conviction of belief.
Gon resolved to give up everything including his nen potential, and his conviction should still maintain that even after his body was healed. Simply put he arguably won't re-learn nen because he still believes that it's something he shouldn't have access to anymore.
No, both Pitou and Killua both understand that Gon forcibly aged his body otherwise he could just have all the aura of his entire lifetime and still be a kid. It's not a secret why him visibly aging went hand in hand with all that aura. In fact, before Pitou comments on Gon's sacrifice of his nen, she mentions his body first.
And Gon's body contining to degrade is also not a secret. He was suicidal to a fault because of his self loathing about getting Kite killed and his denial and hope that things could be turned around. Then he finds out it cannot and he just goes off the deep end. He was ready and willing to die because 'everything' including his own life.
Caleb Kelly
Please don't insult Cell, Meruem looks like shit compared to him. They have some resemblance in the color scheme and the tail but otherwise Meruem is an ugly manlet in comparision.
Sebastian Perry
What if he gets something akin to a guardian spirit beast? A creature that consumes his aura and protects him but that he can't directly control. (Just throwing some ideas out there)
You just kneeled by not having arguments anymore, that's literally what Togahsi is saying in the manga so he's not going to debunk himself, all you're left with is disregarding what the manga says as Gon has clearly never found himself in the state you claim he is right now, and that state is not normal, so according to you the manga is in the wrong. That's the headcanon
Austin Russell
>Simply put he arguably won't re-learn nen because he still believes that it's something he shouldn't have access to anymore. I'm completely okay with this. Just don't push your Headcanon about Gon getting his nen back 100% like the other sissies.
Aiden Nguyen
>Just don't push your Headcanon I'm a different user by the way.
Luis Martinez
I would prefer if he got strong without needing nen abilities. I mean Gon's nen abilities were boring as fuck to begin with.
Landon Sanders
Both are kino, trying to frame it as a character war is cringe. The fact that Kurapika can become the MC is itself a testament to how well Gon is written, since the series doesn't have to revolve around Gon when it isn't appropriate and can shift perspectives as needed.
I base my judgement on what the manga says and the only two pages of Gon talking about his nen we've had since CA are of him saying he can't use his nen. You, my dear faithful dog, are the one who keeps pushing his headcanon that he will open his pores and get his nen back based on nothing but assumptions.
Good, I'm sick of this headcanon about permanent pore sealing
Owen Cox
Gon is shit. Fortunately his dad is much better so after Kurapika's arc is over Ging can take over the story for the DC arc and we never have to see Gon again.
You are the headcanonfag I'm referring to. Don't post in my thread.
Justin White
It was never stated in the manga that pores cannot be permanently sealed under specific conditions. Stop pushing your headcanon and Gon being able to use nen again.
Brandon Butler
>st-stay away!!!! youre done for, you've been exposed
Chase Reyes
Yeah DB wasnt exactly known for the quality of its story telling, they way it randomly switches from a Journey to the west spin into alien shit is as nonsensical and random as it can get. One of the first victim of the chase for publishing spots and endless ass pulls to keep interest. Still cell was ideally consistent, nothing to deconstruct there as we never spend any time on him as a character like we did on Frieza.
So to me it stills like cheap knock off of a design even if you claim its intentional.
Matthew Williams
it was also never stated in the canon that gon is actually a DC monster, so i guess we have to disprove that too
Adam Harris
No dumb fuck, you just keep ignoring what the manga say, or else you would have addressed those points you're avoiding to tackle since several posts now, the fact that not being able to learn nen is not a normal situation and one in which Gon has never been in before now, while the manga states that he's back to normal, which debunkes that interpretation. I'm sure you'll just ignore the facts another time, brainlet. Plus I've already told you that I know that he can't use nen right now, that doesn't mean he is prevented from learning it again anytime.
How about we don't go into fanfiction theories a-la-reddit and focus only on what is canon? I never said Gon won't get his ability to use his nen back. I'm just saying that claiming Gon will get his ability back 100% for sure, is headcanon. The current information we have is that Gon can't use his nen, which makes MY headcanon more canon than your headcanon.
Jason Cooper
Its that fucking retarded gay biker helmet, it breaks the flow of the silhouette. Get rid of it and he would look good.
John Price
Yes exactly, under specific extraordinary conditions. Not normal conditions. Gon is back to normal. You just debunked yourself, dumb fuck
Christian Adams
You're right insofar as Gon does not currently have nen and he could choose to never learn it again, so my assumption that he will reopen his pores is "headcanon". Impose the idea that he cannot relearn it and you're starting to assume content.
William Cook
Why can't he use nen if he's back to "normal". He should be able to release some aura based on his experience with nen but he literally says in the manga "My aura isn't coming out".
Jack Bennett
Gon is back to normal. His ability to use nen isn't.
Oliver Watson
>Impose the idea that he cannot relearn it That was never my position. I said its possible but based on our current information everything outisde of "Gon can't USE nen" is headcanon.
