Yea Forums is overrated because its babby's first board
>babby's first gas
That's hydrogen, surely.
Ironic shitpost is still shitpost, you know. A thread died for this.
All of these better than FMA the actual overrated crap, but forbidd you call it "overrated". This place has been invaded by MALfags.
>its bad because i dont feel special watching it
>Eva
>mecha
Can confirm. I only got into anime at a later point in time and had already explored every other non-anime board this website had to offer beforehand, and Yea Forums isn't any better than the other media boards.
But that would be Yea Forums
Who's gonna watch Madoka as their first Magical Girl Anime, or Eva as their first "mecha" anime, when a lot of the value in those shows come from subverting the tropes of said genre?
What about NaruTaru?
Tons of people. Lucky Star is also very common as one of people's first anime
>value in those shows come from subverting the tropes
Imagine being this much of a contrarian redditor who thinks that """""subversion""""" is a positive quality of something. Gotta be the most teenage hipster thing I've ever read.
On that note, Lucky Star was actually my first anime. I am gonna have to admit that 13 year old me didn't understand 80% of the show, but I tend to rewatch it annually
How does me pointing out that they subvert tropes, make me a contrarian? Or a redditor for that matter. You can't come here and say that part of the reason Madoka got so popular was because it was edgy for the genre.
How much of a brainlet do you have to be to not realize NGE and Madoka intentionally subvert tropes from their respective genres. Madoka does this to the point where the whole show basically revolves around this gimmick (not implying it's a good thing). Watching these without any knowledge on what genre tropes they are "diverting" is something only someone new (or underage) would do.
I want to lick Ritsu's feet
Yes, that's the point, they're "Popular show, me anime fan, me watch" normalfag bait, same with all the other shows in OP's post
Average Mahou Shoujo anime
>Does the same tropes that any other does
>Most are not remembered by anyone
>the ones that people still talk about and remember are too long to actually get into it.
Madoka
>Everyone says it's really good because it actually does something diferent than every other Mahou Shoujo
>Everyone talks about it and therefore Newfags hear this name before any other mahou shoujo
>13 episodes, literally the most accesible amount of time to invest on a show.
Eva is mostly the same but with even more exposure due to it being older. and most of this can apply to most shows in the OP
FUck lads, imagine
>Beatles
>Real band
>Oxygen is overrated because it's babby's first gas
Ask me how I know you're overrating oxygen
How?
>It's overrated because things existed before it even though they were of lower quality.
I fucking hate you all.
Because your brain is obviously lacking it
“Overrated” is not a real measure of quality
>>the ones that people still talk about and remember are too long to actually get into it
This. Madoka is accessible by only having 13 episodes. Meanwhile Cardcaptor Sakura (original) has 70 while others like Sailor Moon and Ojamajo Doremi are even longer. There's also Precure, which is still going.
Madoka doesn't have anything to do with other Mahou shoujos
Now this is a real patrician gas
