Why did she have to completely give up on martial arts just because she wasn’t some sort of fighting demigod who could stand beside Momoyo? She fought Chris to a stale make and had plenty of other successful matches with strong opponents in the other routes, so don’t tell me she was somehow lower level than even the faceless temple monks. Why did Takahiro have to crush her dream alone of all the main girls? Did she really have to lose everything to get Yamato’s dick?

Forced drama.

I really like Majikoi, but have to agree with

It kind of was, but it had impact. There wasn’t enough romantic tension between them otherwise. Of the five main girls, two just joined the group so that novelty creates the possibility of tension, two are familiar but sexually harass him all the time, and then there’s Wanko who’s just sort of a cute pet Yamato takes care of. It’s the classic female childhood friend problem—writers tend to make this type tsundere to create the tension that would otherwise be missing between long standing friends.

This and fucked up japanese cultural mindset. Somehow because there was someone somewhere who is really really good at ___ it means you're redundant merely for being pretty good at ____

That's because they are extremely utilitarian. Unless it's a meme and they aren't that autistic

Oh well, shitty route for such a good character.

Attached: NO TALENT.jpg (800x600, 362K)

not like this in uniquely Japanese, I heard quite a lot of retarded "second place is first loser" talk, too

Fuck off Chris, she still took you out, aren’t you supposed to be the daughter of a German general with magic de aging powers and you still couldn’t beat a normal girl with nothing but spunk and grit in her heart?

There is indeed no point in pursuing a career that you have no talent for. Hobby maybe, but professional sport isn't hobby.

Fuck off, Tesshin. Wanko should've trained with the Kuki's or with Mayucchi's dad instead.

Nobody devalued Wanko's training. The route later showed that outside the realm of Dragonball Z level martial arts, her training and Martial Arts knowledge didn't betray her and still serves a lot of purpose.

The issue here is that Wanko's dream was to be the number two to Momoyo's number one. And this poses to be a problem because as it turns out, she just doesn't have the ability to be on that level. Every person ultimately has a hard cap, and her own cap doesn't make her qualified to stand on the grounds that she aspires for. The bullshit supernatural martial arts level that Momoyo stands on is just too far beyond her ability. Nobody told her that she should stop martial arts, but she had to be aware of the reality check that there is a level that is just beyond her ability.

But she had MAJOR talent. Every arc she fights in she performs extremely well (it’s been a while so I can’t recall the particulars but I know she mows down tons of people)

So apparently because she can’t quite get to the level where she can fight beside Momoyo, who is for all purposes and intents a female Goku if not Superman, she has to give up everything she’s worked for and become a dietitian so she can go on slavishly devoting her existence to Momoyo. Fuck, why not open a dojo of her own even if it’s in a fucking minimal? Better yet, she could have trained to be a cop—think how easy it would be for her to chase down a criminal with all her experience running to school dragging weights behind her.

>Why did she have to completely give up on martial arts just because she wasn’t some sort of fighting demigod who could stand beside Momoyo?
Because it's an unreachable goal.
She isn't weak by any means, but if she kept down that path of being Momoyo's second only sadness and sorrow would await her at the end.

If I recall correctly, in the Yukie's sister's route the Sword Saint basically tells them that Wanko just wasn't receiving proper training from the Kawakami temple.

The thing is, why were the parameters of her goals and dreams skewed from what seemed in every other arc to be “I want to improve and be a strong Samurai Girl™” to “I want to be Momoyo’s slave for the next rest of my life.” Then they make it out like she’s grown as a person because she found a new path to be Momoyo’s bitch instead of finding her own path for HERSELF.

That too—like the idea that because she lost a tournament she reached her threshold and their was no point exploring other avenues of improvement. I mean most pro athletes don’t reach their peak until their mid twenties. The idea that a 16 year old girl would have no room to improve just by getting older is absurd.

>Wanko just wasn't receiving proper training from the Kawakami temple

She gave up when she realized that A-3 Translation never.

It was more in the sense that the Kawakami Temple specialized in DBZ style hand to hand combat while the Sword Saint was better at teaching armed combat.

>speedreading a fucking VN
The issue is not that she's weak, but her dream is to literally be the #2 strongest fucking martial artist in the whole world. Anons ITT seem to fail to grasp just how hard of a goal she set for herself.
And there's also her motivation, she doesn't want to be a martial artist for the sake of being a martial artist, she wants to be a martial artist who can stand as Momoyo's equal, which means reaching humungous bullshit levels of power and becoming the vice-head of the Kawakami dojo.
It's not like there aren't millions of sportsmen training all day every day aiming to become the best, out of them only like 0,1% make it to the olympics, and from those only 3 will get a fucking medal. Wanko was aiming for the silver (assuming Momoyo would get the gold) and if she couldn't get it there would be NO POINT to her effort. Continuing with the analogy - even if she made it to the olympics, even if she was able to make it somewhere on the top 10 after spitting blood and training 20 years, her dream was to HAVE THE GODDAMN SILVER or NOTHING.
So yes, it made perfect sense that she just didn't have the talent for such endeavour.
This user here has a point, though. But i guess Momoyo being her family justifies it to some extent.

>muh caps and limits
Just break them lmao

So you're the first place loser or the last loser depending how you look at it.

based chris

You know, this is actually something that really stood out when reading the original VN. Despite being trained in the most badass martial arts school in the world, she painfully lacks the discipline and intuition that pretty much everyone else has. It's mind boggling that they never worked to improve her bad habits despite them being the primary reason why all her battles always devolved into either easy loses (mainly to Chris), or underdog scenarios where she's forced to rely on sheer grit.

She sees your dick

Attached: 1542778003003.png (1441x1080, 1.67M)

This also this happened in real life a large part of why people enjoy doing certain things is because they're good at them and if you're really good at something you can fool yourself into believing that you could be the best person ever at it and then you meet a true genius and it's a huge blow to the ego especially if you weren't in it just to be okay you were in it to be the best and now you know you can never be the best so what's even the point anymore

this is all from someone who doesn't even know who the character in OP's pic is

>Just break them lmao
I love this trope especially when it the whole world is against them and actually seems like they can't break if you know from the beginning that they're going to break their limits is no fun

Pathetic weakling.

Attached: 1510256567558.jpg (225x225, 10K)

But then she'd go bald. Who would want Wanko to lose her gorgeous hair?

I see her dick.

Because her goal was never to be just a martial artist. It was to be someone on par with Momoyo and repay the Kawakami dojo as one of its top fighters. Which is an entirely unrealistic goal with her lack of talent in fighting.

All of her prowess is a result of absurd diligence and hard work. She got that far simply because that is the actual level a normal human can reach in that work with an appropriate amount of hard work. But it'll never be enough to reach the level she wants and she'll just keep torturing herself for her entire life in pursuit of an impossible level of power.

And again, being a martial artist by itself wasn't her ultimate goal, but the means she set herself for it. Even if she doesn't have talent for martial arts, she does have talent for hard work in general and she can pour that hard work into pursuing something that's actually realistically achievable and potentially far more useful than knowing how to bash heads.

See Problem isn't that Wanko isn't strong, but what she's a Krillin who wants to support Goku the way a Vegeta couldn't at times.

Also she's pushing herself through really really hard through sheer effort to keep up with other super power aliens like chris/mayu/shina when her cap is much lower than theirs.

Momoyo is the heir to the Kawakami temple/school. She'll take over one day. Wan wants to be the #2 by her side, but she's not up to snuff.

Eh. Majikoi was great because it was about the class, the crew, and the girls. An interesting world where each girl's story was actually interesting and the nakama crew is prominent in each route.

Majikoi S already started devolving from that to just an H game that waifubaits and revolves around the route's girl with a few cameos from the characters you want to see.

DESU Majikoi isn't great fap material. S doubled down on that and added more waifupandering which made it even worse.

I liked the cute robutt.

I’ve pointed out elsewhere how dumb this is. Really, she has no talent whatsoever just because she lacks the potential at 16 to be on a level with Goku?

And the fact that her ambitions and interests are construed so narrowly in her route as “help Momoyo” and “help the Kawakami school” is very poorly done. So the activities that were the delight of her days held no real appeal to her outside of this imperative to “serve the Kawakami”? Why is there never any evidence of this in any other arc? Why indeed are Momoyo’s concerns that Kazuo is walking a hopeless path only manifested here if it was such a serious concerm?

But the most egregious thing is the solution. Kazuo basically completely changes her personality, ostensibly so she can keep being a slave to the Kawakami, which itself is contemptible enough, but really just to make her a more suitable cocksocket for Yamato. And I don’t deny it is on its surface a very compelling arc, but if you look deeper you can see the narrative is held together with twine and duct tape.

best smug

Koyuki is a side character in her arc, it’s all about the senpai.

Tsubame is also hugely about the group because she’s infiltrating to beat Momo.

Mon-sama is just objectively the best girl in the series. Her route can share focus because she’s so great.

In short, opinion discarded.

That doesn’t fit here because the girl in question is always surrounded by by best if the best and can beat them or at least stalemate them. The game just shits on her for drama’s sake.

Aiess is a good girl.

That's a big pickle

>Mon-sama is just objectively the best girl in the series
>lolicon filth
opinion discarded

Itagakis are objectively the best.

Attached: Itagaki Yamato.jpg (800x600, 153K)

>the opposite direction is good who cares if the girl is a third wheel in her own route
>mary sue wank
>completely bland character outside of her route is best girl

Only sleepy and twintail
Ami a shit

All the Kuki shit was cringe worthy

it's a nip thing
if you can't be the best you're dishonorablu

I’m not even a lolicon, I can’t fap to Mon-sama, she’s just objectively the best girl in the series.

I typed f.a.m. forgetting the word filter. Koyuki arc isn’t opposite, it’s all about the gang.

Take it back bitch.

I'M TRYING, STOP PESTERING ME

>how dumb this is.
But it really? If you want to do A but in order to do A you have to do B is it stupid to stop doing B when you figure out that it's impossible for you to do A?>the girl in question is always surrounded by by best if the best and can beat them or at least stalemate them.
Is she beating the actual best or she just beating really fucking strong people? Because of from what I've read in this thread it seemed like there is a clear difference between her and the and the actual strongest people in the series.

How dumb it is depends on how much she enjoys martial arts on its own. If she loved doing it purely because she thought it was helping her towards her goal of being Momoyo's #2, then it's not dumb. It would be stopping a (potentially) unhealthy situation before it gets out of control.

>How dumb it is depends on how much she enjoys martial arts on its own.
Can anybody enter how much he enjoyed martial arts independent of her goal of being number 2?

>just break them lmao
Fucking this. We have ancient warrior clones, fighting high-tech robots and literal superhumans who can shoot beams and stop the earth's rotation but we can't have a normal person breaking their limit cap? What the fuck is this shit? Kazuko's route could've been kino as hell
