I can't believe it was actually decent.
Kengan Ashura
Yeah it was. And it made me pick up the manga too so I'm glad I watched it.
The fight's are great but I feel like they toned down the comedy/chill out parts too much not to mention droppi g several plot's and characters all together.
>No beach episode
It's really a shame, these part's help make the characters feel more human.
Is it really?
why does netflix like muscle man anime so much
I hate the CG
Gay agenda.
I love it.
I don't want to watch it
same
It was passable sure, but they should have just done normal animation for it. It would have been so much better. Plus they cut out Rin, and the Medicine Man shit.
Was this written by the same guy who did the fitness girls manga?
is this real?
Yes. They take place in the same universe.
jeezus christus
Yes
If that's the new gay agenda I can get behind it
I saw the trailer and thought it was going to be offensively bad, but it turned out alright.
I liked the OP
I think it really works well for the fights especially during fast exchanges and way better so as when Baki 2018 dabbled in it.
Too bad it otherwise makes characters look like stiff dogshit.
usual Dumpanon here, finally got around to watch all of it, and as a tl;dr, I'm going to say it's okay. I expected way worse, but I also have higher standard in terms of animation, so it evens out.
Now I'd like to go in details. The 3D models are most of the time jaring, but the animation of the fights make up for it. Yet when something obviously in 3D is next to a 2D drawing character, it clashes. Also, some of the models are way too stiff. no soft parts, it turns out like plastic dolls. Worst offender being Sayaka, her supple bits turned into bolt ons, and ai finally noticed after a few matches, her only animation is reused. And Ohma, who's face more often than not looks like an emaciated skeleton. They managed to make Raian's removal great, but Ohma's advance isn't? Bah.
On the other hand, the inclusion of 2D picture spashes, lightly animated, was pleasant, and proved they have potential.
As for cuts in the story, they barely got to half of round 1 in 12 episodes, and there's twice that waiting, this does not bode well. But because of this I can understand the shortcuts, because it still managed to keep the very important parts, didn't turn this into a mindless violence show, and the inclusion or Inaba Ryo's backstory warmed my heart.
looks like a 1/2 here.
Taking out the stupid fujo and the fan service chapters was such a good call. No time for that dumb shit when time is limited. It’s more lean than the manga but keeps enough character backstory to be engaging. I prefer watching the anime.
so, 2/2. audio, music and translations.
I watched in jp with eng subs, switching occasionnally with eng audio to see how they went (and a bit of my mother tongue, as well as other and subs, just to see) Short results, translation is all over the place, sometimes even between the same language. I can see Netflix influence to remain less offensive in the dubs, while subs ran wilder. (for Sawada fr dub: circus freak, fr sub: faggot) yet it looks like normies didn't notice because I've heard a lot of them liked the anime knowing nothing of the source and recommended it to others. So until I see official Netflix numbers, I'm going to consider the anime a success and the rest of the episodes almost guaranteed?
We're all going to agree to disagree with the translations and the names & places etc etc, as they also change wildly depending on language subs and dubs.
Here's the big redeeming point, Jp VA is absolutely fan fucking tastic. Bonus point for Sayaka that blew everything away.
Music? noticeable, can even pump you up or stick with you sometimes. Except for the end credit, this shit can fuck right off (personal taste)
I shouldn't put a score here, not being an official critic, being biased towards the source, and not having a lot of experience in anime. therefore, 6/10.
See you for Kengan Thrusday.
Every single thread you spell it wrong. It's called Senran Kagura, you ignorant fucks.
I love how the first enemy turned friend is actually a nonchallant murderer and nobody ever adresses this once he start's hanging out with the gang.
It was okay, I think some of the CGI lended more impact to the blows but I'm not used to the animation style.
Keep on trucking dumpanon, I appreciate all the little jokes that come with every page post
