Just a cute little magical girl anime with nothing weird or scary happening at all.

Unironcally anime of the decade in about 4 months time

deconstruction of a magical girl show that takes a few episodes to get to the weird stuff

once it does it becomes pretty kino, really good music and mostly good animation, especially in fights

The greatest story ever told.

Hell yeh I’m excited now.

I’ll keep that in mind

unironically a fantastic show and very serious AOTD contender

O MY TIME TRAVEL

Madoka Magicka rivals the Bible in moral significance

Prepare to be pissed off at Deus Ex Homura, then be ashamed of your words and deeds at the reveal.

>dude flares lmao
nope

Don't watch the sequel movie Rebellion, it ruins the TV series' ending. Anons on Yea Forums will try to trick you into watching it by claiming that anyone who didn't like it just didn't understand it. They'll be here soon.

Cope.

Madoka is anime of the decade. The only problem was it was so early in the decade that it kind of ruined all the other anime to come. Not to say there weren't good or even great anime in the next few years up to now. But nothing came close to the phenomenon that was Madoka. The threads, the SPECULAH, the memes, they were fantastic.

Attached: weneedtogowider.jpg (640x2013, 697K)

even if you didn't like what it added, some of the scenes are still pretty kino, and I'd watch it for that if nothing else. Also, if you finished meguca and expected Homura to just be all fine and dandy with the way things went, I don't know what to tell you.

The only thing that really came close was Kemono Friends, which will unfortunately go down as one of the more infamous IPs of the decade with how quickly it rose and fell due to executive drama.

Watch it, but wait at least a few months after the show. It is visually great and has a few scenes that a worth seeing but it really does ruin the show.

Homura didn't do anything wrong and those who disagree are just moralfags.

Attached: zZ86SqQ.jpg (243x243, 13K)

Pop goes the weasel, cute adventures, and german witch dances to save your friends.

Very cute anime.

Rebellion is good, shut up.
Homura was never a good person and people need to stop this bullshit. She's obsessed trash, cool and hot trash, but trash nonetheless.

stop moralfagging. Your idea of what constitutes a good person means jack shit in the megucaverse.

>damning multiple timelines and people just to try and save one girl because who got the feelies for her
You just like Homura because you see yourself in her, you want to throw yourself away just to save a girl, because then she might actually like you. There is a reason Madoka will eventually regain herself and fight back against Homura, because it's wrong, even Homura knows it and she doesn't care.

As the user who wrote that post, I agree. It is one of the most beautiful anime movies ever made, and you can indeed justify Homura's actions as reasonable given her experiences. But it requires a lot of extrapolation that the movie itself does not provide, which is a serious flaw in the writing; we needed more scenes like the flower field scene to build up to the moment. In addition, the ending is too inconclusive for me to forgive the lack of a sequel. Some anons will be fine with how it ended, but I found it frustrating.

Attached: 1500529947363.jpg (2016x2472, 929K)

Nah. While friends had a few mysteries here and there, Madoka had the Witch Alphabet, Homura's backstory, a billion theories about the Death Clock, Homura's shield, if QB was evil, where Witches came from, everything. Every single episode would be picked apart frame by frame and everyone had their own pet theory.

Movies kind of expect you to have watched the show in the first place, some of that isn't needed. With that said, we will likely get a sequel one of these days, especially after MagiReco.

> Ignoring the fact that at the end of the day the Incubators were finally punished, the other megucas are all in a "ignorance is bliss" state and that Homura knows that she did some bad things but at the end of the day it was for the greater good

The world is not black and white. Homura is not a "hero", but she has definitelly done some good things and whether or not the results of rebellion are better than OG madoka is ambiguous as hell.

>obsessed
This is how normalfags try to discredit a pure-hearted devotion to justice. Take heed of their tactics and never forget that Homura did exactly what any reasonable person would do.

You don't have to have mysteries to make a good anime, let alone a memorable one.

The Golden Age of Yea Forums back in 07-08 had TTGL as part of it, which had no real mystery to it other than pure hype. It was very different than Code Gayass, which had tons of intrigue, poorly explained stuff at times, pizza butt, and hype as well. Same with Death Note, Spice and Wolf, etc.

True but the sheer number and volume of threads about Madoka far outstripped Kemono Friends.

>we will likely get a sequel one of these days, especially after MagiReco

I want to believe, but bringing in any writer other than the original isn't likely to produce anything good, and butcher has fucked off to play with puppets. I don't even know if he wants to work with Shaft anymore.

Attached: 1551703822963.gif (400x225, 2.03M)

The dead timelines in meguca mean jack shit. Homura's power is to turn back time, not to fucking jump timelines. The dead timelines don't exist, you fucking idiot.
Oh no, an user said something that I don't have a response to, so I'll spout some irrelevant bullshit so I don't have to admit he's right. Tell me, is it hard being retarded?

I still remember time before Rebellion.
Where everyone agreed Madoka had greatest ending. And that there was nothing wrong with it. And that continuation would just ruin it.

But now.. it is all wrong!

Attached: 1299782878661.jpg (785x718, 131K)

Sayaka knows what is going on, Madoka will know what is going on, which in turn means that Kyoko and Mami will likely know what is going on too. There is no ignorance is bliss state, there only is for some of them for a very limited amount of time.

Sure Homura did some good, but she also ruined so many timelines, lives, etc. and even went against the wishes of her friends just for her own selfish desires.
Yes, most normal people would rip apart time for their own selfish gains, even if some good happens to come from it.

Even in every single timeline Homura created the same stuff happened, everyone fucking dies, which is going to be the same thing. She's just taken the place of the antagonist now, because she's so far gone and even says that she may have to fight them one day, then her and Madoka will do the same dance, and out pops another timeline, repeat forever. Homura replaced one cycle with a different one.

Homura needs to stop being Anakin and learn to let go and realize that people die and suffer, it's part of life, yeah it sucks, but destiny is what destiny is. You gotta move on eventually.

Why was it so controversial?

Attached: 1536581479970.png (1920x1080, 2.18M)

Not him, but are you retarded, the timelines are literally present throughout the entire show, they matter a fucking lot because some things are constant throughout all of the timelines, just as each iteration leads to a butterfly effect of the next.

You are just as retarded as him if you don't think the past timelines matter.

>but destiny is what destiny is. You gotta move on eventually.
My adult mind in 2011 would've agreed, however my manchild brain of today realizes when you have actual magic you should kick logic to the curb and rebel against fate.

Attached: madoka rebellion.png (1172x1738, 380K)

Wait, where Mami and Kyoko always in the background there? Where the fuck are they looking?

Attached: 1549855819458.jpg (960x633, 73K)

What the fuck? Did you seriously just post a screencap of a post from the anime subreddit?

Oh my god dude...

If that were the case then certain things wouldn't happen in every single timeline consistently.

There is going to be a cycle whether its Kyubey, Homura, or something else. That's just the way it is. Homura's time loop to save everything is ironically made her the source of the cycle.

That image is a strong argument for why Rebellion is good.

Attached: 1544930371229.jpg (968x1376, 140K)

Posting Reddit links on Yea Forums is bannable offense.
And this is IMAGE board. So posting images is fine.

Attached: 1303550691178.jpg (986x601, 172K)

>didn't do anything wrong
In the first timeline only Mami and Madoka die. Madoka sacrificing herself to stop Walpurgis, and Mami just dying during the fight. Kyoko, Sayaka, and Homura all live. Homura is just a twat who decides "I wanna meet Madoka gain, am sad she ded." fucks everything up.

She's retarded.

Not what I was getting at, but thanks for that, I guess.

>The Golden Age of Yea Forums back in 07-08
That wasn't a golden age, or The golden age. It was the era of the biggest flood of newfags and cancer Yea Forums and Yea Forums ever saw up to that point. The only thing good about it in retrospect was that it wasn't as bad as the cancer that followed later.

People only dislike Rebellion because its a movie. If it was a 12 episode anime they would have loved it.

Prove me wrong.

Ok. None of the complaints that ever existed had ever had anything to do with it not being a sequel show.

You weren't even here then faggot, everyone agrees those were the best days of Yea Forums. He's fucking right.

>it wasn't as bad as the cancer that followed later
That's pretty much the definition of a golden age.

The greatest LOVE story ever told

So it was a golden age then, good job contradicting yourself dipshit.

Rebellion is absolute KINO

>I'm going to predict something that people have already been saying for years.
>I knew it.
Great job, Nostrodumbass.

Imagine a world without witches

Attached: hey homura, still alive.png (869x672, 542K)

Homura will never have what she wants and she needs to stop trying. Madoka is vastly superior in power to her. Homura just got the upper hand on her once, and Madoka almost nearly snapped back into it instantly.

>If things don't go well give up
What a shit story, wouldn't watch/10.

Attached: __kaname_madoka_mahou_shoujo_madoka_magica_drawn_by_in_ventus__f3aa84eb872cd21f8656c36cf0f64558.png (640x1120, 364K)

I was there you faggot. You kids with your fake nostalgia probably were shitting in diapers in 07, don't talk like you were there.
03-06 was better as Yea Forums had culture and actually did shit. That was the actual Golden Age. 07-08 can't be the golden age as that was the start of the culture purge notably with the creation of /jp/.07-08 is bronze, 09-12 is wood, everything afterwards is donkey shit.

If things don't go well after decades of trying because the same shit keeps happening, and Madoka is actively fighting back against you, as well as all of your friends, then your love has went from selfless beauty to a selfish desire.

That's Homura. Love is selfless and selfish, and hers becomes far more selfish as she keeps looping shit. It's admirable she is trying to save Madoka, but in doing so has involved Sayaka and Kyoko, and went against Madoka's wishes all for her own desire.

>That was the actual Golden Age
Indeed. Then Haruhi, Lucky Star, and TTGL brought about the great normalfag invasion, killing Yea Forums for good. RIP Yea Forums 2003-mid 2006.

>03-06 was better as Yea Forums had culture and actually did shit
Yea Forums had culture and shit during 07-08 too, especially 07 as that was before your so called love of /jp/, which even then only purged the constant touhou threads from Yea Forums.

It's an album cover.

>Death Note, Gurren Lagann, Code Geass, Haruhi, Lucky Star, Clannad, School Days, Hidamari Sketch, Sayonara Zetsubou, 5Ds, Index, Soul Eater, To Love Ru, etc.
>All the memes from all of these
>not a Golden Age
Newfags should stop trying to act like the beginning of Yea Forums and Yea Forums were the golden days when it was a collection of dipshits nearly on par with the days of Project Chanology, let alone glorifying /jp/ culture and content in any way.

My dad works for moot and he says the worst time period for Yea Forums is when you got here.

Attached: 1536632376972.jpg (580x530, 42K)

I love when kids try to act like they were here years ago and just pick the earliest date to say when things were best

Damn, last week must have been terrible.

>What am I in for?
the literal peak of anime

>beginning of Yea Forums and Yea Forums
>on par with the days of Project Chanology
Now I know you're shitposting, holy shit. Don't ever say anything this stupid again.
>glorifying /jp/ culture
Let me ask you something. Where on this board or even site-wide any culture that goes back ten years? Everything from even your "golden age" has largely been purged, banished to /jp/, forgotten about or never known by the cancer that run this place now. /jp/ is a shell of its former self, but it still tries to hold onto the old spirit, however fleeting it is. Yea Forums is just Yea Forums at this point, no one is even trying to hide it anymore or fight against it. If you actually cared about your golden age you'd at least put Yea Forums in their place like they did then, but I'm sure you just accept their memes and their cancer like all the other newfaggots here.

A rip-off of the Terminator franchise.

Not him but Yea Forums is fucking trash and 07-08 Yea Forums was fantastic. With that said, /jp/ has always been fucking shit.

You mean Ryuki copycat

>but it still tries to hold onto the old spirit,
Yea Forums used to shit on /jp/ when it was first made, so it holding on its old spirit is still bad, just the same as Yea Forums.

Yea Forums is the same shit its always been, people like to act like its different, but it's honestly not at all outside of mods and the ability to spam 3 pages of the same thread about an anime.

Checkmate, Ladies Please, and Red vs. Blue are the greatest memes this place will ever have.

the evangelion of anime
