The ending to Negima will always be the worst abortion in any media ever. Not just the worst manga ending. The worst fucking anything in any media ever. And I will never forgive all the people involved. UQ Holder doesn't even begin to make up for it.

This was one of my first mangas back in middle school. And I would always check for updates by one Manga.

I remember a lot of people picked up the manga in the wake of that fight and having it posted frequently. Also a lot of people who had dropped the manga picked it back up because of Negi vs Rakan.

Overall Negima threads were either waifu wars or people arguing over whether more battle shounen stuff was good or bad. Some people never really forgave Ken for taking the story in such a "shouneny" direction, lots of complaints too about the ridiculous power level scaling in the series. On the one hand you had GARfags who thought Rakan was the best thing to ever happen to Negima, and on the other you had people who saw him as emblematic of Ken's "poor decisions" in where to take the story.

Safe to say Negima's always had a mixed reception on Yea Forums, but it generated a lot of discussion in its heyday. Toward the end of its run though threads had become more infrequent.
