Kaneko likes to give his villains super edgy introductions before he humanizes them which honestly was a mistake outside of Chris in S1, every other time it would have been better to show how the villains were driven to their evil before trying to make them sympathetic.

The monsters have some of if not THE worst on screen atrocities we've seen in the series so far and are still somehow getting more screen time than most of the gears. And how is this time used? The scenario only requires her to survive the song, everything else would play off very similar, she would be there together with Genjuro at the end of the episode screaming GUNGNIR DATO when Hibiki transforms for the first time and they detect the wavelength, just to be a good senpai to fellow Gungnir wielder later. The only question is how would some events play out later with her around:

That's a one thing about the XDU storyline that doesn't make much sense. They events of the anime (specifically AXZ) happen in the XDU timeline but it plays out just like the show, despite all the upgrades and available assistance from the other realms that would have drastically changed the outcomes of AXZ events. One thing that is important to remember is that she failed really hard at doing something that is important to her. She could neither protect others, nor bring happiness with songs. In fact, you could say her songs actively hurt people since the people who got killed all came to see her. Of course she's going to doubt herself no matter what she's been through. When you go through a tragedy, especially one you believe yourself to have caused, you're not just going to brush it off by thinking about the times you were happy, you're going to need to reforge yourself and find yourself again.
