>Mangas that deserve an anime adaptation but will never get one
Mangas that deserve an anime adaptation but will never get one
Isn't that just Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san?
>Legit a 1000 timez better than SNK
>Publish on the same magazine about the same time
>Ignored because western normie anime fans have shitty taste
Feels bad man
I get the art style is similar but the stories have nothing in common. You should really give it a shot sometime
Kimi wa Houkago Insomnia
Sengoku Komachi
The simpler designs and amateurish art is so refreshing, I'd love to see it animated.
I post this about every other month
Do manhwa ever get anime adaptions?
Very fun comedy and concept. Wish this got adapted
Make d-frag season 2 before another new shit anime plox
Psyren would have made a good one if it didn't get the axe
>mangas
Man Psyren was the shit on the 00's why did it neber got adapted? It was very popular
Not everything deserves a fucking anime.
Pls no buli
i thought it got one? or it was the other dancing manga?
Then when it catches fire, hire Inoue to write an anime-only continuation.
Oh god I feel so empty.
Would they be able to fix the shitty ending?
>Biscuit Hammer will never get the glorious adaptation it deserves
Does it even need one thought?
Realistically the pacing of the first few arcs would keep an anime from being successful, it's not until the Onishima Arc that it would start pulling in viewers, and that would be the latter half of the cour
No manga really needs an anime. But that one definitely deserves it.
Finally, a manga nip with standards.
Prove me wrong, japan
Prove me wrong.
>Sesuji's brother in arms will never get one
>Numa's next upcoming Jump+ series probably won't either
Feels bad.
Would rather a Melancholia film or series of shorts.
Yeah it was Ballroom y Giraffe Necks
Spirit circle should get an anime before biscuit hammer anyway.
Either would be fine with me. Hell, I'd even take a Sengoku Youko anime.
The normal-sized foreheads should have given away it's not his work.
This series is by the Onanie Master Kurosawa guy.
Just posted in another thread
Boku Wa Beatles
Make 1960s Japan look comfy while exposing viewers to the pop music of the US/UK/Japan circa 1961
Securing the music rights alone would break the bank
komi-san
Hitomi chan is shy with strangers
Kenrantaru but I figure a ballet centered sports series starring a female lead that'd require good animation and accurate representation of choreography/hand and feet positioning would be a hard sell. Plus probably having actual English/French/German speakers.
It's probably better suited for a live action.
yamikin ushijima kun
The Breaker
and The Breaker New Waves
These are shit manga and are the most likely to get adaptations in this thread.
Alive will never get an anime adaptation.
>manga
Meguro-San
I mean I like the series and all so it'd be nice for it but the threads would be an entertaining trash fire of purityfags and people paranoid about NTR which would be a nice bonus.
Dragon Maid can wait. Give me this next.
I really really liked this, it's a shame I didn't hear about it til it already ended.
It was one of those WSJ series that didn't get a lot of discussion due to inconsistent scans and not being a battle shonen.
Let's hope his most recent project does a little better.
This will never be as bad as people who pronounce it "awnimay"
Agreed
>Year of our lord current year + 4
>No lizard knight anime
How does it compare to welcome to the ballroom? It's finished so there's that.
Haven't checked out Ballroom yet but from what I've gathered Sesuji is far more lighthearted. There's a competitive aspect to the story, but at the end of the day the main goal of the protagonists is to overcome their flaws by taking a chance at the dancesport club. I enjoyed it a lot.
Why must you remind me of this. Hell if it could be done as a trilogy of movies or and OVA by Studio Bones alumni or Gainax I think this would be among the greatest anime's of all time.
Never read Ballroom myself but that seems more dramatic while this is a lot lighter though I think it does a good job with the competition drama without making it feel ridiculous. The Rio/Doigaki stuff near the end is great and the Kinryuuin chapter during the same arc is goddamn great.
Like you said it's finished and it's not all that long so it's well worth the read. Just make sure to read Koganeiro beforehand which was a short 3 chapter story Yokota did prior since a few of the characters show up as major supporting characters in Sesuji; one of whom is also a major supporting character in his follow up (and also axed early) series Shudan! which winds up being a sendoff to that little universe he'd created.
Gimmie sleep princess anime already
You know, if dancing midgets does get an anime. I wonder if they'll go the extra mile and get a copyright on that One Direction song?
My default answer used to be Dorohedoro but apparently that's happening so I don't know.
>tfw when the artist/writer will never get back to this series
It's probably expensive so they'll end up using either the OP or ED to the anime instead.
I like that song now thanks to the manga so I would hope against hope that they include it.
That piece of shit.
Mcs were cute but the story wasnt that interesting. Welcome to the ballroom had more tension. The afro dude was probably the most interesting character simply because of that mini arc about him and his partner. ID prefer a molester man adaptation by makoto shinkai or mamoru hosoda.
Overrated crap.
Finally someone with taste. Give it to madhouse or WiT. I wouldnt mind also a suicide Island adaptation or even his new really good manga taiga of genesis
1/10
...
>Onanie Master Kurosawa
i thought the concept for this sounded dumb, is it actually worth reading?
No anime would do a good manga justice.
>tfw Yugami anime never
It hurts my soul.
I haven't seen this much shit taste crammed into a single post in weeks
Both are dance sport series with ensemble casts made up of various pairs of characters that have their own reasons for dancing and motivations. Difference is that in Ballroom the MC's journey is more about finding out what it means to be a lead which was a comparably shorter arc in Sesuji as it wrapped itself up by the cultural festival.
Ballroom's MC also has two three partners over the course of the series as he goes from complete novice to more capable dancer and each partner reflects his skill at the time. Other than that both have similar plot beats just articulated differently because of how different the casts are.
Give it a shot, if you liked Sesuji you'll undoubtedly like this one too. I'd say it's a bit more serious in tone and the artist's own style gives a different flair to the dancing.
Agreed, Holyland is completely overrated.
Agreed x2.
It was really a hit to the series when it moved to weekly; like it didn't have enough time each chapter to develop itself. Really made for an ending that just kind of skidded to a stop.
Agreed.
It's got more than enough content to use...
>Overrated shit.
Or other of Cool's works too.
So did the midgets ever fuck or what?
>things I don't like are overrated
>mfw I was listening to sora by yoko kanno as I was reading this the first time
FUCK
I like this manga but I don't think it'd work that well, especially this chapter, since you can't hold the anime up to the light afterall
Don't get me started
>stop hating what I like.
It could happen
>Psyren was axed
One of the biggest reasons 2 nukes weren't enough.
Natsuben by Shiina Nami
look it up
Hate it all you want but saying it's overrated is retarded.
Good taste, mate.
I think for me it stems from being somewhat dissatisfied from Tsurezure Children that I want another kind of anthology-like anime. And I can see that this would be a difficult chapter, but it's the one page that I had on hand.
How about this one?
Axed you say?
I didn't like how this manga ended, it seemed as if it didn't get closure.
I'd rather these to stay as they are. The only way for those to have an anime is to get a really good director and a good studio. I can imagine any Mizukami work with a FLCL-esque style, for instance. But in most of the cases I think it would just not do justice to the source material.
I can actually imagine this one getting an anime. It would be great.
>still no update on the adaptation after a year
Any day now.
That's because it ended without having any real closure.
>no girls won the dickbowl and lost their big game
Fuck that shit
you're forgetting that ballroom's art is absolutely breathtaking
Is there even going to be a part 2?
This thing is a 200k seller this shit will get anime even if you want it or not
Tower of God is getting one.
that's true it's cheap battle arena with just enough spins on it to make it wildly popular. I personally expect this to be the next JoJo for a good while, especially with black people since it's basically the Cell arc in dbz and jojo like asspulls all in one.
Fujimi Lovers ran for 12 chapters / 3 volumes starting in 2013 (I'm just going to assume monthly). The latest thing the author has done is 1 chapter of a shounen ai anothology back in 2018.
What mag is this in, Im tryin ta find it
Man I would love to see Rokudou get adapted
Bokutachi ga Yarrimashita is a modern classic, so underappreciated. Absolutely deserves an adaption just to see all of the suffering it will bring to this board.
this manga is fucking garbage, ESPECIALLY the art.
Easily one of the best things I've read of late.
Nothing I have read has ever crushed my soul and spirit like this manga has. Personal 10/10 for me. Shows the human condition incredibly well imo.
Zodiac PI.
ahem
Nanba MG5.
Indeed. It's been a while since I've enjoyed such feelings from a manga, and especially one where the characters had to deal with the ramifications of their actions through merely experiencing their lives afterward. No vengeance coming their way--just life and the weight on their shoulders. And while it wasn't the worst soul enema I've experienced, it was one of the more interesting ones in how it goes about its spirit expulsion.
Also the Back to the Future references in the latter half were great.
FUCK DON’T REMIND ME
This + an accurate Botan seiyu. Waifu of the year 100% guaranteed.
You know, sometimes I was thinking maybe an live action for this can even be absolutely kino.
The concept was already enough to keep me going, but it was just executed so superbly and the pacing is so excellent and addicting I binged all 80+ chapters in one day.
>And while it wasn't the worst soul enema I've experienced
Jesus man, when a certain suicide happens I wanted to cry, but the feeling of despair was just too overpowering for me to be able to. This manga really made me feel like life is absolutely shit what in the world could have caused you more mental trauma?
It's a WSJ series that the author ended when he realized it was probably going to get axed sooner rather than later so no although maybe the did some time in the timeskip.
>what in the world could have caused you more mental trauma?
As an example, a certain death in Soukyuu no Fafner left me lifeless for days. I wouldn't eat much, and the moment I'd think about the character's death the scenes leading up to it, I would start crying.
This has happened before from reading manga and VNs, and it's led me to believe the best deaths and tragedies are made salient to the audience before they actually occur. You know it's coming; you know it cannot be stopped; you might be given some signs the course could be changed; but you know that's just your mind trying to rationalize the inevitable. The mire of sadness, despair, and somber that you trudge through is bad enough, but when the tragedy that's been prognosticated is fulfilled and finalized, you're left with emptiness. And from then on, you must rebuild yourself so that you might enjoy this feeling once more. Over, and over again. Because it's an enema for your soul; it cleanses; it makes you feel alive.
at the very least it got wsj 50th anniversary line sticker.
I'm a simple man of simple shit taste.
I'd be happy to have a Soul Eater Brotherhood just to see the last fight between Kid and BlackStar animated, and Blood Armor Maka
First, thank you.
Second, goodbye.
I want to die.
I am also upset by this. But if it got an anime, it probably would have gone down the same path as Bleach so... maybe we're better off.
This and Ragna Crimson are my current thoughts. You could wrap up the first cour of RoR with the Kojiro fight, and Ragna Crimson could end after they escape the capital, with a few scenes teasing at how the story develops after.
They both have just barely enough content for a single cour, now.
Oh yes that one holy shit
It got a live-action adaptation but that didn't really do it justice
how the fuck will they voice Itsuki though?
>but will never get one
thanks fuck.
Yuusha ga shinda and chainsaw man.
The putin isekai
never ever ever ever
kill me now
Yeah, it's one of the better romcom.
His second work was not as good though; I blame the occult setting as he clearly is better in realistic SoL.
Good taste, but the manga is infinitely better.
Samon-kun had regular and comfy threads on Yea Forums when the scanlators were doing their (unpaid) job, though.
Scans are up on Jump+, hopefully they’ll be on MangaPLUS in a day or two.
