Hey Yea Forums, what are you currently watching? Are you enjoying it?
Hey Yea Forums, what are you currently watching? Are you enjoying it?
South Park
Yes.
YOU IKA AND I LOVE YOU A LOT DEGESO~!!!
My diet.
What do you mean by "currently"? Right now? This very moment?
Which anime have you started watching, haven't finished yet (or whose final episode you haven't reached yet on this particular viewing) and so far intend to complete.
Here you go. Anne, Ergo Proxy, Heartcatch and Shirabako are rewatches, albeit Shirobako has been sitting at 2 episodes watched for like 2 years now. So to answer your question: No. I should probably drop most of them.
Gabriel DropOut. It's alright, gotten a little stale though.
dennou coil
each episode is better then the last
Sorry you feel that way. Are there any shows that have caught your eye? I'm interested in checking out Dennou Coli. Ergo Proxy is also on my list of pending anime; since you are rewatching it I assume that you would recommend it, wouldn't you?
After the sabage episode of Re Stage I finally got around to Sabagebu and it's pretty good so far.
No idea why I put it off for so long when Oota has directed so many good shows.
This isn't an anime, but I would like to recommend some western titles for anime fans.
Quentin Tarantino's films have the same playfulness as some shounen titles, and are just great films in general.
For slice of life enthusiasts, I'd recommend a sitcom called All Creatures Great and Small by the BBC. It has the same tone as most series and I was always reminded of the genre when watching.
If you don't enjoy western titles, that's fine. I understand that many people have many tastes and this might not be a likeable pallette of recommendations for them.
Finally making my way through Black Clover again since I was last caught up. It is quite fun. I'm also about to start watching The Boys as one received a lot of recommendations from trusted friends.
>Are there any shows that have caught your eye?
No, I've already seen more or less anything worth watching which is why I am scraping the bottom of the barrel with that list. Tetsuwan Atom is fucking trash.
>checking out Dennou Coli
Very good show, although Iso trips over his own feet during the final third and (imo) blows most of the character arcs.
>since you are rewatching it I assume that you would recommend it, wouldn't you
No. I dislike it. But my notes made me sound like a complete retard, so I am giving it another shot. Can't say I've been very motivated, though.
Just finished FLCL and I'm currently about to start watching ping pong. I'm not really enjoying much this season so I'm hitting the backlog hard.
I haven't watched anime in 3 months.
>No, I've already seen more or less anything worth watching which is why I am scraping the bottom of the barrel with that list.
Damn, unless your list of watched shows is in the hundreds or you are exigent, I have trouble believing that. Not that I'm accusing you of lying; your taste is your own; I take it that you are an experienced anime viewer. I've barely gotten started, so this sounds kind of odd to me. Have you considered switching to reading manga instead?
>Very good show
Glad to know it counts with your endorsement; I hope to enjoy it.
>No. I dislike it.
Well, people's tastes change with time; maybe latter on you'll have more fun with it.
I don't know how much of a pleb this makes me sound like, but FLCL is one of my favorite anime of all time; enjoyable and fulfilling all at once. Is there anything in your backlog you are looking forward to seeing?
Read any manga?
I just finished watching the Eve no Jikan movie. It was pretty good but I think I preferred the ONAs, though it's been so long since I saw those that it might just be nostalgia talking.
monogatari series
currently started watching owari
comfy so far
will continue onto madoka or non non s2
Caught up on Chihayafuru and Kusuriya no Hitorigoto, that's about it.
The boys (Amazon TV show). Its actually great
Code Geass R2, I'm unironically enjoying it. Also Finland Saga.
A lot of Anime look shitty for some reason
Liked it:
KnY
SamFlam
Tanya
Houseki no Kuni
The Promised Neverland
Shield Hero
Ok:
Kokkoku
Has potential:
Fairy Gone
Was thinking of starting Konosuba or Katanagatari
I'm trying to finish Lucky Star and NHK ni Youkoso! since last month. I like them, just really can't watch anime for no reason
I'm only watching that dumb demon goat show
Konosuba is a pretty good time. People either love it or find it beyond obnoxious; IMO it's one of the funniest shows I've ever watched, but that really depends on your sense of humor.
>I like them, just really can't watch anime for no reason
What do you mean by that?
>tfw no Misaki gf
Konosuba is good
I simply can"t start. I want to watch, but lost all the interest at the same time. I'm like that since 2017, but it's getting worse as time goes
This user, this...
>I simply can"t start. I want to watch, but lost all the interest at the same time. I'm like that since 2017, but it's getting worse as time goes
That sounds horrible.
>I simply can"t start. I want to watch, but lost all the interest at the same time. I'm like that since 2017, but it's getting worse as time goes
Same here, almost no manga or anime have been able to keep my attention lately. I don't know if it's my "standards" increasing or my attention span decreasing, but to me everything that I try is just barely watchable/readable, and nothing makes me look forward to the next week on the edge of my seat. It's just a handful of manga now.
Space Runaway Ideon. Yes, very much so.
>mfw looking for a good romance that is sweet and fulfilling, with likable characters you root for and constant development without being saccharine or melodramatic
playing through fate/stay night.
finished fate route. playing through ubw route.
You're Under Arrest.
Loving it.
rewatching Code Geass for the sake of the new season coming out.
Yeah, it's worse when I try to rewarch something that I liked just to realize that it was trash after 15 minutes or so
i thought it was a movie
one piece for the first time.
holy shit am i enjoying it, i slept on this for waaaay too long.
Just finished marineford arc. favorite arc so far is alabasta, but they have all been great.
Watching KnY, dr.stone, fire force, milfsekai, daughterwife anime, the isekai with buttslut.
Thats the most seasonal anime ive picked up. They are all mildly entertaining. Id give KnY highest score of 7.
Also watched 1 ep of devilman crybaby and it seemed shit. Quick cuts and shit dialogue made it impossible for me to understand whats happening.
Planning on picking Araburu and fruits basked when they finish.
Konosuba is only comedy that came from Japan that i like. Kazuma VA is godtier.
>At episode 8 of reincarnated as a slime
this shit is incredibly boring, does it gets better? also the animation is garbage and souless
someone convince me to keep watching it
have you tried hinamatsuri or grand blue?
Ouran High School Host Club. I heard about it for years but was hesitant to start because it was a shoujo but it's actually pretty good.
>2019
>Watching current anime expecting good animation
Life must be hard for you.
It's a isekai user, if it's not good after 15 minutes just drop it
Valkyrie Drive
Head: No
Dick: Yes
I've gotten done with high score girl as of recent and also started FMA:B,both are great shows
Same. Actually i never watched a good romance anime.
Drop it. The first episodes are the better ones.
Neither. Grand blue isnt a complete adaptation tho so im not watching it.
Go watch Nodame Cantabile
I actually started reading it like a decade ago but I hated the MC so I dropped it. Might give it another go.
Read the manga, the anime goes to shit after the timeskip
I've been liking Wano so far
>Watching anime
>Enjoying anything
>Yea Forums
New Game! I really like it so far, especially these two gay dorks.
Waiting for this Eureka Seven torrent to finish
Have you watched Tsuki ga Kirei?
> Irresponsible Captain Tylor.
Pretty great, got a physical copy I loved it so much. Only 6 episodes left, would recommend.
> Magical Index III
Not as good as I remember S1 being back in 2014, but I like it so far. Accelerator is also a good watch. That world, in general is just awesome.
> Railgun
Working my way through the episodes too since it apparently gets good. I'm not a big SOL fan, so some action would be nice.
Welcome newfriend.
you better you fat fuck
Good post user-kun!
Konosuba is my personal GOAT comedy but it’s discussed so often on Yea Forums it naturally leads to shitposting.
Great anime, wish I could watch it for the first time again.
>goat comedy
>same jokes over and over
Poor you
I'm watchin gunbuster right now. Its alright so far.
I'm watching Symphogear. I'm on episode 8. Not really feeling it so far except for the songs lol hopefully I'll start liking the characters more.
Gosick, it's pretty good.
Episode writing quality varies a lot, but the production quality is far better than the average show.
Probably one of the best mystery anime that I've seen.
nah, he's lucky to be so easily satisfied. I wish my heart was so simple.
Now go read the manga or watch the One Pace version after the timeskip. Soon you will reach the current arc, Wano (both in anime and manga, anime has stated the arc recently with a much needed and fresh artsyle, manga has been pretty good like it hasn't for a while)
Seikon no Qwaser. The super serious edgy MC is the kind of character that gets made fun of these days with chuuni characters, seeing one played straight has a real nostalgic feel.
Also titties are great, plus the lolidom.
Name a better one
No Game No Life. So far it's decent.
Oniisama e
Yeah it is fun.
Yuru yuri season 3. It's pretty good but definitely a bit different from the other seasons so far (2 eps. In)
I heard the movie was better, the anime it´s alright
Battlestar Galactica. It’s pretty rad, it has that early Sidonia feel at times with the Cylons hunting down the last humans.
I'm actually watching Squid Girl at the moment. It's bretty good
I really hate the scientists. And why are the two sisters so violent to Ika-chan?
Not watching anything right now, but gonna start that dumbbell/lifting anime.
I'm watching ∀ Gundam, and it is great so far.
Is this the thread where r/anime tourists blog about their favorite TV shows?
You're right, this one is quite mild, if compared with the first two. I love YY, but the S3 just felt weird.
If it was wouldn't we be sharing MAL profiles at this point?
Watching Haruhi for the first time; I can see why it's a classic. It combines mellowness with comedy very well, and it does in fact have a melancholy feel throughout some episodes. Really enjoyed it so far; about to start Endless Eight and honestly dreading that moment.
The second cour is the best.
>Hey Yea Forums, what are you currently watching? Are you enjoying it?
Arifureta, no.
DanMachi S2, yeah I guess.
Dr. Stone, yes.
Dumbbell, very yes
Katsute Kami Datta Kemono-tachi, not really.
Maou-sama Retry, suprisingly yes.
Okaa-san online, surprisingly no.
UchiMusume, meh it's fine.
Vinland Saga, still waiting for the story to pick up.
>Fairy Gone
I was 8 episodes in when I pretty must dropped this series. It had a lot of potential but its pretty boring with very little in terms of interesting characters, plot progression, or story development. How its getting another cour in the fall is beyond me. Anyone know if I should watch the last 4 episodes? Episode was so typical and predictable I couldn't even enjoy it ironically.
fate/kaleid liner prisma
>the disappearance of yuki nagato
No it's fucking garbage. Just give us season 3, don't do shit like this.
Finally getting around to watching Spice and Wolf. Enjoying it so far.
Why would you force yourself to watch something you don't enjoy? Just stop watching it, it's that simple.
Hentai, and no Im not enjoying only crippling depression and anxiety.
>Quentin Tarantino's films have the same playfulness as some shounen titles
I will now avoid Tarantino movies thanks for warning
Hentai as in that weird ass zero-budget anime?
ReZero . I am 2 years later
HxH - not really enjoining it, I'm at the Greed Island Arc right now and already feeling like dropping this show. Though the York New Arc was amazing and the first exam arc was decent too.
Grand Blue - about to finish the last 2 episodes, I just love this anime, gonna rate 8/10, not less. I wish there were more seasons.
Been going through Initial D 4th Stage. Not as good as the first three in my opinion but it has been picking up around the halfway mark.
Been watching the first season of Jewelpet recently. It's really dull, despite how fun Ruby is. Hopefully the later seasons are better.
i'm watching girlish number right now
having seen this and shirobako i feel like a pro in the industry
Mushi-shi. Some episodes grab me more than others; I appreciate its artistic merits even if it's not going to become one of my personal favorite series.
Texhnolyze, after years in my backlog. It's pretty good.
THANK YOU IKA LOVER I ALSO LOVE HER A LOT DEGESO~~~~~
Readan Yakusoku no Neverland and I'm having a blast. This kind of story works way better in manga, it seems.
As for anime, I just finished Boku dake ga inai machi and enjoyed it overall, besides some of the asspulls. I also projected myself into the main character a little too much and it bit me back close to the end, but that's on me.
Since I have no backlog, do you guys have some recommendations following the idea of that anime? It doesn't necessarily need to have the time travel aspect. I've already watched both the Steins;Gates and Monster.
>Hey Yea Forums, what are you currently watching?
Nothing.
>Are you enjoying it?
Yes.
>Nothing.
Yea Forums in a nutshell.
I just finished Yosuga no Sora and I'm watching Code Geass
zsz
tesagure
They make me occasionally smile out loud so its okay.
>smile out loud
How do you do that?
I actually finished Irresponsible Captain Tylor, but did not started any other series.
I only watch shows when they are finished, because I cannot be consistent with currently airing shows.
So basically I don't watch anything currently.
There's nothing in your backlog at the moment?
That's cool. I can't watch ongoing shows either. Post your MAL please.
What I mean is that shonen titles often go over the top with their action, and Quentin Tarantino reminds me of that
Thanks! Just a note on All Creatures Great and Small, the show is split into two parts. The second part is nowhere as good as the first, so might wanna avoid.
>MAL
How many anons here use it? I thought of it, but it seemed kind of a hassle.
>Yuru camp
yes it's legit amazing and insanely cozy. Really shocked it lived up to all the hype.
Just don't set fire to any Mexican forests.
