There are time jumps within the book that don't make to much sense, like the chapter about the competition during the PE training test was immediately followed by the next years training test. The MC never really changes (though he does get a few cute moments where he realizes his true feelings than gets embarassed) but Tagaki gets bolder about her intentions with her teasing, if this is following the path of the comic then you both will and won't get your wish I know it sounds vague but if they do what I hope they'll do you'll appreciate the surprise

A recent chapter showed them starting their second year of middle school, but one of the chapters you mentioned was in their second year, and hell, ch 9 I think, one of the earliest ones, was also set during second year. No subs, and the show isn't all that popular here for some reason.

Netflix dislikes releasing one episode at a time for anything and prefers to have shows where you get an entire season at once, and encourages binge watching. This is because it wants to hook you and it's preferable I think also to their model where they want their average customer to spend one or two sessions a month on watching a lot of shows and then not using it that much beyond that rather than have you do many sessions on it one show at a time, since they don't run ads. As a result, they release all the episodes for a show after they all have aired, which is what happened to LWA.

But they are considering ads soon I am betting, which will probably kill the service, if Disney and Hulu is not killing them first. Anime is one of their current niches that Disney can't compete on which means this might last a while where Netflix gets anime rights in the west and there is nothing released until the show is done in Japan or elsewhere. I'm still hoping Warner kills them though through Crunchyroll but that company is also trash for what they did to get to their current position.
