Because they have always trusted that Tsubasa could handle her own mental issues and that they don't really have a frame of reference to even talk with her about this kind of shit? What do they know about your fathers expectations and growing into a protector? Over half of them have no father and the one that does, might be scared, but is otherwise a decent guy. They probably feel like it isn't their place, because family is involved. It's also the first time that Tsubasa has never been able to handle the stress of battle. Even when she was her S1 self, she was still capable out on the field, but now she's throwing excess power around and they don't know how to chastise her for it since she's their senior. Combined with everything else, they don't know if saying anything would make the situation worse or not. Imagine her being pushed off the edge because all of her friends 'turned against her'.

I think the important thing to keep in mind here is how Tsubasa is in a position where every the gears look up to her as a senpai, older person and generally a perfect role model, so they don't know how they could or even if they should help with a problem that even the Tsubasa can't handle. Maria is the only one who's shown to feel pressured, like she has a responsibility to help, because she's older than Tsubasa. It's a very Japanese thing, sure, but this kind of vertical social relations are very real thing for Japan. You can accuse me of moral relativism all you want, but you can't understand a story written by a Japanese person for a Japanese audience if you don't try to understand their frame of mind.
