The animation and direction is pretty good, ignoring the ill timed flash back or scene transition that kills the excitement of a scene, but fuck is the writing mind numbling braindead, this whole moral ideological delima between tanjiro and the demon guy is so incredibly vapid and forced.

There's so little depth to their disagreement that 90% of the back and forth dialogue is the same shit repeated over and over again, there's just nothing there.

The action writing is also quite poorly written, the demon had so many opportunities to just kill him, with no justifiable reason to not do so, suddenly his written to be stupid for the sole purpose of the hero getting minor injuries to build up when he pulls a new power out of his asshole.

That being said, its still leaps and bounds better then garbage like MHA, one piss, or Black clover, but the single for this battle manga shit is like a 6/10, and i'd give this show a 5/10 so far.

Like, it's kinda an asspull as both Tanjiro and Nezuko both figured out they had shit perfect for this right then and knew exactly how to use it, but it was done in such a hype and beautiful way that I really didn't mind. In this case, the quality of it along with the butterfly chick's remark about people's lives flashing before their eyes to find a way to not die was enough to excuse the out of nowhere nature of the powerup.

There's a few spots that I could see them really turning on the Sakuga, particularly a couple parts they're already hinting in the OP. Hopefully they really do those moments justice.

KnY isn't fast paced at all, we are 20 episodes in and nothing has fucking happened, its slow as fuck. Its main appeal is that its done by Ufotable, and when an anime is done by Ufotable, VAs;storytelling;music;everything else doesn't matter anymore, as nothing will be as good as the animation.

I don't give a fuck about any of the shows' stories, they are both generic garbage. Both have generic music. Both have shitty characters. Both are slow paced shit. One has pretty colors and good VAs, the other has animation. That's all there is to it and its the only reason to watch any of the shows.

It's difficult for me to chose between them. They both have artstyles that I love and animation wise Mob has more sakuga but reduces the detail to make it easier, while KnY has less sakuga but with more detail. I think I like this scene from KnY more than the Mogami sequence from Mob, but that's mostly because of the sound design and music. Mob is a superior show overall though.

Every studio has its style, the problem isn't the hamburger but who eats it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, instead of saving it for a special occasion.

Fantastic animation and even the soundtrack is cool, but there's only so much you can do with such story and writing. The comedy in particular is really bad and brings down the show a few points. It's almost as bad Gintama in terms of its "jokes".

Except I have seen all of those shows. Vinland Saga and Dr Stone are very good mangas, but their animes are pretty lackluster. Good, but could be way better. I forgot about Jojo and SNK for a sec. If you count those in, I have to say Shingeki is the best show so far. Episode 19 of Kimetsu is the best episode though and Jojo part 5 was already best made anime so far, but has some slow moments.
