Why is this arc so overrated by normalfags and redditors when Millenium falcon is better in every considerable way?
Golden-age arc
Conviction arc is the best
Conviction arc has no glorious hatefucking so it loses by default
Because millennium falcon does what every other anime has done to death: jrpg party with magic powers kill boss of the week.
>: jrpg party with magic powers kill boss of the week.
Literally golden-age. Oh and them getting sacrificed doesn't make it any less "jjpg",since they all fit into archetypes. The cast is also better. Who the fuck knows what Pippin's character was?
HxHtard falsefalg thread
No,I legitimate can't get behind this opinion that golden-age is "the only good arc". Its such a mindbafflingly stupid opinion that only a retard who got to know berserk through the 97 anime and is nostalgiafagging and can't see all the glaring flaws of it.
because it was the first major arc in the series, that's all there is to it.
Is something you will get once you grow up. Like the character thing, Pipin is just more charismatic without even speaking one word. That's how good GA is.
I hate this argument because nobody who says it seems to get that the world becoming a jrpg is literally the fault of Griffith and the rest of the God Hand.
Griffith's incarnation ceremony started to merge the physical and astral worlds, and fantasy nonsense started manifesting everywhere.
>Pipin is just more charismatic without even speaking one word. That's how good GA is.
Shut the fuck up,Pippin is a non-character with no characterization. Any character from the new cast has more character than fucking Pippin.
I swear it's the same 3 people in every thread
millenium falcon is garbage and the reason i still havent caught up with berserk
Millenium Falcon is when Miura finally dug himself into a hole plot-wise and is the biggest reason the manga hasn't moved at all since it ended. That ruins the arc on hindsight. Also Conviction is better.
>millenium falcon is garbage
She might not look like much but she'll make .5 past light speed.
Because it isn't, the plot is garbage. What good has the millenium falcom arc? It's around 15 volumes, the first 5 or 6 are spent in exposition about layers, a shitty filler long ass fight against a big troll and guts getting the shitty plot armor when he comes back.
Then the rest is about getting to a city where nothing happens until they go to take farnese back and end up in the boat, where the shitty kushan invasion happens and we get guts and griffith army slaying shit 80% of the time. An army just introduced that no one cares about it or their "who" leader, who ends up getting super big and is destroyed before you even notice.
The characters are horrible too, all of them become stagnant when it starts and do nothing but jokes and drooling about guts dick.
If you really think that falcom or fantasia arc are not better than the golden arc, but even good, you are mentally retarded and you should read more stuff.
You could literally say all of that about Golden-age, Not an argument. You can't deny the side-characters in golden-age had little characterization . The ending of the arc is some of the best storytelling through the medium of comics.
No you couldn't, because the golden arc has an actual plot and direction where a lot of shit happens in just 90-100 chapters.
Golden arc is good because it's about the 3 main characters growing up, risen to power, personal drama etc, with not so much focus on the fighting side, which is berserk worst part, but even then the fighting had always a reason to happen where the main characters were usually in the offensive and using some kind of military strategy, and guts using some tactics here and there.
The side characters didn't have much development, but their characterization was good and their journey with the main characters fantastic, also they weren't used as annoying filler dialogue and had personality or personal objectives.
With the millenium this doesn't happen any more, the characters are stagnant and the plot feels like a big filler where nothing happens but pages and pages about guts slaying monsters mindlessly and characters trying to be funny.
Also the ending was shit, I don't know what you are on about, a lot of garbage build up for absolutely nothing, Miura should have done something better for the falcom arc that all the kushan plot so he could transform the dude in some kind of tree or whatever that connected the layers. It didn't even bring anything good, all we got with the Fantasia arc was the awful boat arc and more and more pages of Griffith army beating monsters again and again.
Millenium falcón is the worst arc. Even the fantasy one is better
the only arc I dislike is Sea God, but even that one kept my interest if only for the great deep sea imagery.
Fantasia=/= Falcon of the Milenium empire
FoTME is griffith vs Kushans
Yeah no, The golden-age was so fucking stagnant in its characters that I literally couldn't give a rat's ass about anyone not Guts/Griffith/Caca. Sure Judeou was cool but what else? What was his character? And don't dare give me the filler thing when golden-age has fucking Wyald's shit. The fights: also stagnant and stiff because we knew the aftermath when we've read black swordsman.I felt no emotional investment in any side characters whereas in the later arcs, almost all side characters are fleshed out and feel real and human. The cast "jrpg" group, you like to call,is miles better than the cast of golden-age because every member of it contributes to the story and their characterization was actually there and felt real. What the fuck did Corcos do besides be an an asshole to guts? Idk because he didn't.The storytelling possibilities and paneling and art only got better. The end to millennium falcon is some of the best and most cathartic pieces of art in manga. I suggest you go reread all of berserk and see how overrated golden-age really is. All this being said I also want to add that Ganishka is the second best villain in the manga.
All the characters in Golden Age suck except for the main trio
sometimes less is more. when they all sit around a bonfire after a battle there's such a feeling of camaraderie but also an atmosphere of alienation. neither guts, casca or griffith are capable of truly bonding with the other members of the band of the hawk. really makes the interactions between the trio more special and when it all falls apart, more tragic.
