Might sound dumb, but I ended up actually getting invested in the characters, and how the MC was trying to navigate having relationships with them. Even if it was shown to have a resolution with a post-timeskip scene, there was still so much material that could have been used for many more chapters we'll never see. Along with never fully explaining the timetravel chuni.
