Berserk arcs after golden age are literally bland shonenshit, bordering on harem shit with every girl falling in love with Guts. I've read all of the available chapters, and it's completely in a lower ball park from an actually mature narrative like SnK. Guts even gathered a crew ala one piece, including a loli witch and they go on some filler tier island adventure. Seriously the seagod/pirate arc in nu-berserk would fit as anime filler in naruto.
Meanwhile in SnK, the story just keeps getting better and better with tons of nuanced characters and ambitious themes that are well crafted into the story because the author had panned everything from the beginning. SnK is changing history, while Berserk will remain in the forgotten depths of mediocrity and remembered as what was once a promising series.

Berserk turns into bad shonen around the end of the conviction arc where 70% of it turns into guts slashing shit with no strategy or choreography and the other 30% is dialogue of which 90% of it is about his new horrible jrpg party trying to be funny or remarking how strong guts is every 2 panels. Also the story, there's more things happening in 20 chapters of the golden age arc than in the last 20 volumes.

I haven't watched SnK after season 2 and dont even want to. The first season was OK, the reveal was stupid.
I've watched every Berserk! Animation. The last had CG graphics, but still made me so enthousiastic that it motivated me to read the Manga twice.
The Berserk anime has worser graphics than the SnK anime, but it's so much more full filling. People complain about Berserk!s current themes, well it's an fantasy show from the beginning, so ofcourse you'll get fantasy elements.

SnK s3 was a lot more interesting than the first 2 to me, i don't particularly like the first 2 but the third was great.

Nope, her being inside the walls give her easy access to Eren, and in case of needing to killthem to reach Eren, it couldve been done inside the walls, one by one, this way they couldve been more developed and a murder mistery with actual stakes, but that's not edgy enough, they have to die in the most bombastic, violent and overly dramatic. If you consider it edgy it's because you are being blinded.

It demonizes the marleyans and transform them into inhuman caricatures, they enjoy torturing and killing. You can put a young guard that doesn't want to torture or kill because hes new into that and develop that, and in the end when grisha frees himself he feels conflicted about killing a marleyan that showed compassion for him, you know to make Grisha a more compelling character.
In the end, this just confirm how edgy the series is.

I hadn't read the Manga yet and I wasn't influenced by threads or YouTube. There was only pure hype for a new Berserk! animation. There are worse anime, so I enjoyed it as it was and then I read the Manga. I will admit that I probably wouldn't have liked it as much if I had read the Manga first, but that's because the Manga (especially the next arc they're going to animate) seems almost impossible to make an anime off.
I will give it a try someday.

SNK is better than nu-Berserk, but I've never heard of such a debate. They don't have much in common so I usually don't see anyone compare the two. Berserk is still "okay" but my excitement for it has completely plummeted. Even when a new chapter finally comes out I am met with nothing but disappointed due to garbage new art style and dragged out plotlines.

HxH is easily the most over-rated piece of fiction right after Star Wars. Berserk has fallen so very far from what it once was though so they're both in the same league now unfortunately. SNK is without question the superior product as things currently stand.
