I'm currently watching the TV series. It's not bad but I hate how every pilot is fucking retarded. They gave the job of piloting trillion dollar mechs to the least sensible members of the team.

I've always been interested in patlabor but
>The popular franchise includes a manga, a TV series, two OVA series, three feature-length movies, two light novel series, and a short film compilation, named Minipato
that's a lot of work
Watch Mobile Police Patlabor AKA The Early Days, its a 7 episode OVA and then watch the first two Patlabor movies which follow the OVA directly and are the peak of what the franchise has to offer. If you like that and want more watch the third film and the tv series.
no one here watched patlabor, silly.
shhh... it's a sad truth.
I bought a Master Grade of one while I was in Japan recently. Now I need to figure out how the fuck to build something so large.
There's basically three timelines. There's the original OVA/movies, there's the original manga, then there's Patlabor TV and its OVAs, which are like a loose manga adaption. It doesn't matter too much but it helps to just worry about one at a time. If you speak English you don't need to worry about the manga, since to this day it's never had a complete English translation. Every other fucking language under the sun, but not English.
I loved the white-haired what's-her-name. Noa is okay, but that one catches my heart in the show.
I'd like her more if not for how the used-ness of her goods ends up causing real issues for her day job. It's just embarrassing.
