But this post made me realize that my style of thank you's have been gradually changing lately. Not sure whether it's a good or a bad kind of change.

If you want to draw for thank you replies, I would recommend at least not making it your only motivation so you don't feel disappointed when the only thing you wanted doesn't pan out.

Draw for your waifu, for practice, learning a new technique, meditation, things that can be self fulfilling.

I mean ORs will usually give decent thank-you posts and I try to for deliveries given to me but I'm always worried my words can't fully carry my feelings of thanks

Pretty sure this post is intended as satire, but there are a few actual good points in there.

The reaction images go a long way towards conveying the OR's excitement/joy/awe, and since it's the first thing you see in a post it makes a big impression.

Commenting on what it is specifically that you like about the picture shows the artist that it's not just a cursory glance you're giving the piece they spent their time working hard on. You're taking in every detail and appreciating them. Something something sum of its parts.

I started digital drawing about 4 months ago (1 drawing per week kind of thing). Practicing and studying techniques to try different things. I used to draw on pencil some years ago.

Thanks user, I'm working towards trying to achieve some kind of consistency. For me it's enjoyable when I can disconnect from everything else to sit down to draw the next piece.

All I know is that I'm definitely not one of them

Generally yes, it's been that way for a long time. It's just more noticeable now with how sparse deliveries are, there used to be more variety to even it out.

I don't know how much practice you had from pencil works in the past, but 4 months to get here seems pretty impressive to me. Those sorts of stories make me kinda want to take up a pencil again myself, but I just don't have the time these days. Would be nice if I could at least spend some time learning how to draw clothes right, at least.

There's something peculiar about her that I don't think I was quite able to capture. I think I accidentally made her look a little older but I couldn't really figure out how to youthanize her. I did try though.
