- 4 days - wrist bands for early entrance (no free entrance) - no east hall, new south hall - company booths in Aomi hall (literally station away, +1km walk away across two bridges) - all south halls combined only 75% of east hall
The map update this time literally made typical comiket hard mode go to death mode. Blockage of routes at certain times and one way passages made the thing like a maze. Apparently even some of the comiket プロs thought this isn’t funny.
(Just for reference changes this time was made due to east hall being exclusively set for usage of olympics)
It'll all be back in 2021. They can't pass up the opportunity for celebrations that year, surely
Blake Miller
Were there no anime announcements/PVs today?
Mason Williams
I heard there're drastically less people there today than previous comiket
Asher Russell
Well it is a friday. Weekends tomorrow though.
Brandon Jackson
What if the one taking the photos decides to strip?
Chase Hughes
you do that in another place, in the street near the event. Or something. cosplayers have their own place for that shit
Brody James
>- company booths in Aomi hall (literally station away, +1km walk away across two bridges) actually good, keeps the place more amateur and less corporate. tons of shitty western journos will not just take pictures of the event and shit on Japan like every year
Grayson Diaz
it's not the best porn day yet.
Luke Wright
It wasn't that bad. While having less room sucks all the artist I care about made it in so I don't really care. The wrist bands are a joke. They don't have a check in a con so you have like a 100 people at a time moving by holding up their wrist bands. The only time it will be a must have thing is day 3 and 4 when people are camping out or come early before they open. Then they will have time to check everyone. However none of this matters since most of you haven't been to a comiket so why would any of you care about the set up of this one.
NatsuComi is already hell on earth thanks to the crowd and the heat, but this sounds like a real nightmare.
Jace Sullivan
It's four days long anyway. Shit's spread out better.
Dylan Hill
Have any expats anons actually encountered the fabled NHK license man?
Nicholas Foster
Durning the day yes, however if you plan to camp out for the last day summer is strictly better than winter. You aren't freezing your ass off all night like in the winter, and summer morning aren't too hot. So if you have a plan and don't have a huge list of books you want you can be done shopping in like 2 hours and be leaving just when it really starts getting busy
>No free entrance, wrist bands Gay as fuck, hope they get rid of that shit again once the hall renovation is over. Just fuck the Olympics.
Matthew Brooks
It is less than 10 usd for all 4 days. Hell you get them with the print guide which most people buy anyways. They could have really nickeled and dimed people on this and they would have still paid. So them going for such a low price point is pretty cool in my book. Also again why do you care, it isn't like you are going this year. What do you care if a ton of otaku and the 5 super weebs from Yea Forums have to pay to get in
Jaxon Powell
Can you get a Monday wristband on Sat/Sun? This will literally decide whether I go once or twice this year.
Evan Rogers
I don't know, I was at a melon books today and a guy tried to get a Sunday band today and they were sold out. Your best bet is to buy the guide once it comes out since it gives you bands for each day
James Williams
Because I like to go to the winter comiket and I'd be pretty annoyed if I couldn't get in because I have no way to buy the catalogue etc. before arriving in nipland.
Charles Rogers
Anyone got some low angle?
Josiah Stewart
I'd rather freeze and have hand warmers and a jumper than sweat with no way to cool down
Angel Howard
I wonder if someone will violently shit themselves in line this year.
Easton Lee
You aren't going to be happy anytime of year. In the winter you are cold so you bring a ton of cold gear to keep warm. Problem is once you get inside it is hot as balls with all the people everywhere, and now you have a coat, gloves and everything else to drag around with you.
Summer is bad as well. However if you get there early enough to be able to get into the halls as soon as they open you can be out of there by the time it really starts getting hot.
Nathaniel Scott
Yeah, I heard once the olympics are done it’ll be back to three days but now it’ll have south, east, and west hall. Hopefully we don’t have that Aomi company booth bullshit.
Brody Fisher
It’s actually hard to tell. Total number of participants doesn’t really matter what is important is to know how many people line up early. Because east hall is not in use anymore the sea side parking lot-esque place is no longer used to hold lines. As a result formation of the line for people who come early has changed and it is harder to judge your placing when you arrive at say for example first train.
And there was nothing big today so obviously not many people.
Jayden Ross
If you don't have contact in Japan then you have a few options. 1 get to Japan a week before he event starts that should be enough time to go to Melon books or Tora books and get your bands. The other is to use a forwarding service to order the books from Melon or Tora's website.
The have porta potties set up all about the line and Japanese people know how to queue up. So long as the line isn't going to move for a while you can just leave a bag to save your spot and take care of what you have to.
Caleb Jackson
I am not sure about your reasoning behind that. But compared to the previous summer comiket there was far less foreigners from what I observed. My friend (local) and I attributed to the fact it is because of the wristband system this time (not free).
>winter >cold lmao It’s Kanto AND not even the coldest month of winter, so the temperature won’t even drop below 0 most likely. You have to be a total retard to actually freeze your ass during winter Comi.
Jacob Long
OP here. The wristband are actually pretty cool in my opinion. I only mentioned it because it is a very note worthy change considering that the event had the spirit of being free and people should only “pay” via support by buying the catalog previously.
Wyatt Bell
>for example first train
You wouldn't have that problem if you got there on the last train and stayed there all night
It gets cold enough and it is windy as hell that time of year cause you are right on the water. However I will admit it is a year by year thing. One year I camped out it was fine. The other I was freezing my ass off.
Samuel Bailey
Got an user that actually knows what’s he’s talking about in regards to comiket here.
Summer comiket sleeping (camping) is actually really pleasant and if you are fast enough for start dash you can bounce in an hour when you are down, like the user here said
Ryan Ramirez
That’s not debateable, they sort of tried to milk it. This year because of the wrist band system the catalog sold out super fast and stock discontinued (currently). The event started selling wristbands for 500yen per day. Which considering the price of the catalog is pretty expensive. Even toranoana stopped selling the catalog and switched to only selling bands.
Gavin Wilson
You can camp on third day previously and still be pretty behind in line fool
Jose Garcia
Anyone know of any places to buy (used) old catalogs? Either online or physical.
Ayden Clark
You actually don’t need the wristband if you go after 12pm. But some stores have refrained from selling bands for 3rd and 4th day now and will sell them I believe starting day two.
Daniel Russell
You sound like a fool that hasn’t camped before for winter comiket
Ian Powell
Mandarake akiba or nakano. Or through their online store
Well you aren't going to be first in standing in line no matter how early you are. Since seller can give pass to other to help them set up those people can start buying before anyone else waiting in line. However last year when I camped out I managed to right in front of west hall as soon as they opened to the public. Because of that I was able to get Raita's and Pochi.'s books quickly. Which is good isn't those two always have lines that are so long that you have to queue up outside.
Tyler Sullivan
Agree with you (sort of). Camping with last train from previous day probably can get you 75% of your list (and highly encouraged) but if your shit is all of over the place (eg on third day) your fucked still because campers can’t beat the numbers or hidden event winners in the line (if you know what I am referring to). If numbers people use there numbers to max capacity you have literally garunteed 2k people in front of you.
Leo Myers
Thanks. Nakano is the bigger one, right?
Tyler Rodriguez
Yeah I don't think I ever had a comiket I got everything on my list. I say the two things that will ensure you get most of what you want is having a good route and how early you get there.
Knowing that if an artist has a table along the wall and close to a door leading outside, that mean you can expect for them to have a long ass line. You really have to play it by ear, the popular artist have longer lines but have greater stock of books. So it will take them longer to sell out, while on the other hand mid tier artist have a smaller stock but almost no line. I spend so much time looking at maps to try and work out which artist I should got to and what order to get to them. I haven't even gotten started on the 400 IQ move of just going to Akihabara after the event and just buying marked up books from Melon and Tora. Only problem with that is you don't get those sweet booklets and dust jackets for the big stores.
Blake Foster
I'm so glad sad panda still exists. I don't bother with any of the popular books and just buy rare/obscure ones that nobody will scan. Those booths never have any lines and barely ever sell out.
Jack Taylor
Yes but actually no
what I mean is that Nakano is like a Mandarake strip mall. Part of it is Mandarake but other parts are just 3rd party sellers. It is still a cool as place and you can find a lot of stuff so check it out if you can
And you sound like a pussy who can't handle a stiff breeze. Fact is that it's not that cold.
Owen Hall
>400iq

Jaxson Reed
At some point I saw a figurine advertised of a... I want ro say squirrel or kitsune girl with only her hair covering her nipples? I cant find it on twitter anymore.
Anyway, I wanted to get the catalogue today (only got here today T.T) but i had to settle for 2 bands for saturday because monday was sold out...
Tbh I just want to experience it once. Didnt even have the time to find something I like.
Caleb Moore
That is a bad beat friend. If it makes you feel better comiket really isn't for buying figures, that is wonder fest. I would say just walk around and enjoy yourself. If there is a book you really want I would just got to Akihabara after comiket is over and pick it up there.
Ethan Sanchez
I figured as much. I think I'll just enjoy the atmosphere and cosplayers for a bit and prepare better for next time. I'll probably just get lost and have a pretty bad time, but I want to experience it at least once.
Is it even possible to browse stands at events like these? It sounds like it's a get-in, get-in-line and get-out kinda thing.
Who knows, maybe I'll find it in Akiba instead.
Austin Perry
Yeah Comiket isn't a Con, most people aren't here to hang out. There are just too many people in too small of a place. If you want to hang out a bit go to the cosplay areas. If you ever plan on coming again here are a few things that will help you get around better.
Get the map. the online catalog is easy to sign up and use with google translated. Knowing where the artist you want to buy from is located it a huge help. Also they don't change the layout of the table during the event so coming in for recon can help you not get lost when it counts.
John Nguyen
Hello Yea Forums, a usual photo from me, temp and humid inside. I nearly fuckin died
>26°C 72% Hum. INSIDE I've lost my will to go on monday.
Logan Davis
I thought Gridman wasn't supposed to have any non-official merch. No aircon, why are you surprised?
Blake Sullivan
Of course, it's very common. Last year i stayed in a leopalace21 home and the guy came after one week. I dont know where they get info on new arrivals. I pretended to not speak japanese or english and kept nodding and staring at him. He gave up after 3 minutes and never came back.
I like how easy to understand these explanations are. "Don't do it without their consent - don't do it WITH their consent, either."
Kevin Cruz
I rarely get a chance to brag for being a SEAnigger, but 26C is comfortably cool for me and standing for hours in 35C is barely different from what I do for a living.
Leo Jenkins
There were some T-shorts, as you can see on this photo, black, folded one
>Gridman This was debunked, what they meant was no fan-made stuffs that can compete with goods from their official booth. They don't sell porn, so porn are okay.
Don't lie. We all know you need that extra shirt so you can stitch the two together.
Kayden Butler
An Asian XL is the equivalent of L in the West (M if American).
Jaxson Nelson
Those are my typical summer indoor conditions here in the US. I'm not made out of money and AC isn't free.
Gavin Rivera
>rather than whoring themselves. One of the more odious effect of social media is that very young girls get exposed to thotty behavior and see them as rewarding.
Connor Phillips
Wig's kinda not great, and she's not petite enough, but points for commitment to outfit and barefoot.
Josiah Ross
I'm anal about having one unused copy of things I enjoy. I'm serious about wanting those shirts though. Who's selling them?
Connor Ward
Is that why there are always those exclusion zones in three ring of photographers around the cosplayers?
Eli Scott
>young girls get exposed to thotty behavior and see them as rewarding. It is pretty financially rewarding.
By the way is there a decent list of all doujinshi being sold there? For years I just looked for samples on pixiv and twitter from artists I know but its so much time waste. Is there an organised list?
I know there is no such thing but maybe at least a list of people registered to visit day 3? Or anything of sorts? I am ordering 5 doujinshi from toranoana and melon so far, I am ready to buy 10-15 more but not sure what else to grab. I am going to scan them so you might as well help.
Aiden Kelly
Not so much a list, but there is a catalogue that you can search by artist/circle. It's in Japanese though. It's literally the Comic Market DVD Catalogue. It's a fairly robust program for how web 1.0 it looks. You can highlight doujinshi and see where they're being sold on a map of the convention. It also supports making an organized list of doujinshi and automatically sorts them by which day they'll be present.
Chase Campbell
There's the catalog.
Luis Walker
The online catalog has all artists. But all artists and all books? No.
Andrew Bailey
She's got a cute face and body, though. I hope she finds a nice boyfriend.
Aaron Walker
Are anons meeting every day after or is it a specific day that the meetup is supposed to happen?
>c82 That reminds me, I wonder how many of those cosplayers will have "wardrobe malfunctions".
Levi Gray
>not going when the girls go so you can finally find a fujo gf
Jonathan Allen
Is it day 2 or 1?
Alexander Johnson
I'm sure you do you flaming faggot.
Alexander Smith
>not buying yaoi doujin and reenacting it together afterwards Are you a coward or something?
Samuel Rivera
Anyone knows of any proxy/middleman that is still taking requests for day 2? The one I knew closed orders yesterday and a circle I like just announced a few hours ago. Seems unlikely but asking doesn't hurt.
pls no bully I just want to know the best day if I want to hang out with anons afterwards.
Oliver Flores
Why would you want that? Are you after doujinshi or social faggotry?
Jonathan Nguyen
>doesn't like Kokekokko's diabetes-inducing art Fag.
Noah Wood
Don’t even go to the event then, just lounge between hotel bars in the area all day.
Connor Anderson
>Boring body >Generic face >Overall nothing outstanding or interesting Must be great to have such low standards, you can enjoy more things.

How the fuck do you get to the company booths I was lost and couldn't find them
Nolan Diaz
>Really like this full set from Choco Sheep >About to buy it from Y!A >It has a mobile battery included in the set FUUUUUUUUUUU I wish you could ship those shits. I had to give away the one that came in the Azur Lane official good set from fuyuket because I couldn't ship it to me.
Carter Brooks
It sure feels great to not have an enormous stick up my ass all the time indeed.
So you can watch them naruto run to the convention.
Elijah Edwards
Link?
Isaac Morgan
I didnt read the battery part desu
James Sanchez
At what time does the 2nd day start?
Luis Flores
Think this big pack came from Osaka. Can't really tell cause the stream just won't stabilize. >all those no hats Sure hope they got one tucked in their bags.
Anything from here please, particilarly the ones with Natsume on the cover (2nd and 4th book, she's my wife). I would really appreciate it, here's more info pub.hidamari-sketch.info/?p=2327 If you want you could just send the books or something, we could arrange something.
Not at all, not at this scale atleast. There are comic markets, but they are usually smaller events. Shit like ComicCon etc. are mostly just to cosplay and meet people/hear about future projects, and not so much about the sales of 'doujinshi' goods.
Blake Gray
Unironically old Comic-Con. Granted you still needed to buy passes to enter but still.
Liam Roberts
I'd be too if all I find there is FGO garbage every year.
Adrian Wright
Have you never gone to comiket? You could buy the catqalogue on site
Jayden White
Sadly false. Even selling wristbands to lower attendence doesn't work.
Carter Watson

Nolan James
Gay, Mahou Shoujo, Conan, Garupan, Kemono Friends, and minor animu.
I got so fucking sunburned last year. I was also wearing a Huawei Smartwatch with a a metal back and I ended up with some boils under it once everything was said and done. It was horrible. I didn't plan ahead and I ran out of money too.
Ethan Baker
bolze's line is pretty long already. Anyone knows why he is so popular?
Ethan Garcia
>androgynous boygirls get a free pass for doujins any day
Brody Cook
Wasn't it 40 yesterday?
Nicholas Reed
The day has started. Nico stream has also started walking around the cosplay area.
He's sharing a booth with Yuu for some reason who did a ton of Horizon stuff over the years but also FGO recently. On the left is what surely has to be the only doujin for his new novel.
Between that and new Okyuuri tomorrow shota dicks are going to go extinct.
Aaron Walker
Nice. Too bad Takayaki stopped making hentai. Same story with Nanatsugumiya, and Hiten.
Connor Young
imagine the smell
Grayson Howard
Wow, looks great. No idea who that gal on the left is though.
Angel Perez
It's bad enough that artists usually don't make any for their official work, but stopping completely is always a big loss. I can understand not having as much time for it, but not quitting entirely.
Anthony Nelson
Hell is there even a case where they produce porn of their non-h work? The most I see is the artist for Amagi showing the girl naked in a non-h doujin of it.
Brandon Gonzalez
He still does R18 stuff He released a tankobon fairly recently
Gabriel Torres
Does /jp/ have a music upload spreadshit? I don't want to use discord.
Justin Thomas
Yes. I know Upotte has a few doujin, and there are a few other artists that have more explicit nudity, although sex appears much less common.
Hunter Martin
Same. I focused too much on music and since panda was down I kinda lost the track until some days ago.
Hudson Rodriguez
>i'd be too if all i find there is 2hu garbage every year >i'd be too if all i find there is boat garbage every year

>Mangaka isn't delivering the lastest chapter in time because he's going to comiket not to work but to mess arround And now it's been like 5 months since the last chapter. Going for the 6th month. And two chapters ago it was like 10 moths ago. Man, I do really hope that the manga's popularity will get extremely damaged because of this lazy ass bastard
John Scott
There is a lot of the opposite where artists continue an H-manga as a non-B serialized series, like fukaboku.
I'm not exactly sure you can say the doujinshi is less gay than the manga with how lovey dovey the fucking is. They're both great though.
Jackson Gomez
That image is extremely hot to me for some reason. Can anyone give me the source of it or the artist's name?
Josiah Jenkins
At least in the doujins he's fucking and not telling everyone he knows that he secretly has a boyfriend. He gives off serious Dr. Rockzo vibes in his understanding of what it means to have a secret.
>/ss/ >onis fuck my request, just fulfill this user's request.
Parker Brooks
This Rin doujin: exhentai.org/g/1165626/b384bb1934/ I don't know why it was never scanned, the art is so hot. There is even a Korean translation of the sample. Weird.
Jaxon Rodriguez

Actual answer: basically just look through the thumbnails and read anything that strikes your fancy. That Kongou one that's part of the first small batch of scans seems pretty nice, for an example.

>Akihabara 365 days a year as a literal 24/7 Otaku heaven That's a meme to be honest, Akihabara isn't as big as people pretend it is and the shit you can get there is mostly related to currently airing anime. Very disappointing, I was expected to be able to find literally anything there, but it's all just new modern stuff.
Colton Scott
Supposedly some nice pop-up shops show up there. Seasonality sure is a thing though, but sometimes stuff shows up. AmiAmi has their 2 only physical stores there so if something relating to older stuff got a re-release you can probably grab it, at least.
Bentley Jones
You haven't digged the second hand store don't you. That to be said, even consider the stock akiha still had the most amount of it and have the largest change to get new thing first

The Aomi Halls aren't even that far away, and there's still Yurikamome connecting them to main Big Sight. So if you really want to visit both company booths and doujin halls on same day, it's possible. Not to mention that company booths sell same stuff all days of the event, and no matter how big of a doujin nerd you are, there's gonna be at least one day when there's gonna be less interesting circles to you at the tables. I really don't see a problem with this setup.
> it is because of the wristband system this time (not free) If somebody can't be assed to visit Comiket because you have to pay 10 bucks for entrance, then the event is probably better off without them.
