So while I know many people’s opinions have changed recently, I still can’t understand why black clover received so much hate for being a generic battle Shonen manga in early chapters and desu MHA didn’t do anything that special either but was praised and put on a thrown as a the new king of shonen. What’s your opinion/point of view about this topic.

Kind of on point. I read it when it had 15 chapters and goddamn was it bad and rushed with one of the characters doing a complete 180 of psychopath to I want to fight with my friends to win like it was good character development. Came back when it was around 70 chapters to see how this garbage was still running and it's been a wild ride since then.

Blame jump of you want. Jump pushed BC like they did with Toriko. I don't know how the japs reacted, but the threads here were berating BC all day for it. MHA was ignored by both the editors and readers until halfway through USJ. Then to Jump's surprise - hey, the tankonbons are selling great! Only then did they start to push it.
If MHA and BC switched their starting positions, things may have been different

In my own opinion MHA started out great but rapidly went downhill after the Shool Festival's Arc and the introduction of the six quirks from previous OFA users while Black Clover was very generic from the start with many similarities from other established shounen mangas but quickly got it's own identity after the Seabed Temple Arc. Since then it had been a wild ride and I never regretted picking it up.
The MHA has a better anime though, but I'm still waiting for Shiggy's story to wrap up in the manga and for Hori to go back to Deku and the other hero-in-training to pick it up again because when I read My HERO Academia in the title I expected to read about hero students in their hero school learning hero shit and not some edgy villain back story.

It didn't help that BnHA got three great adaptations by Bones, whereas BC has a mediocre ongoing one from Pierrot. I'm enjoying BC in the manga more than BnHA though.

It was not even near a hill. MHA is in some kind of South African jungle trying to find its way and it occasionally stumbles upon some magical ancient Aztec ruin and becomes asweome for a few seconds.
If anything is a "wild ride" it's that manga. The new arc is basically from the villains' viewpoint and it came completely unprompted and random.
