He's made from the gods to be a perfect human, an archetype human much like Arcuied.

Non-Fatefag here. Is there the tiniest chance we'll get a remotely historically accurate depiction of Babylon in animu form?

If so I might actually watch it.

Soon

Attached: IMG_9599.png (710x662, 326K)

historically no, mythologically sort of

The Great King Gil Gil Gil Gil Gil !!! GilFag

Or course not. The very first character you meet is a Sumerian goddess.

Ep 0 was a pretty good start. I now have good expectatives of the show. Can't wait to see Leonidas and Ushiwakamaru.

Expecting any historical accuracy is going to lead to disappointment, even putting aside the gods, demons and all the Japanese heroes running around.

First off, economy. Due to the unprecedented crisis, Gil, with his EX-ranked foresight, created a new system of economy in order to keep Uruk afloat. Frankly, the system he created is centuries ahead of its time. Also, Ishtar, due to possessing the body of a teenaged girl from 2004 Japan, has a tendency to spout anachronisms, talking about shit that a goddess from the BC era shouldn't know about. There's other shit, but it's about as historically accurate as Disney's Aladdin.

>Is there the tiniest chance we'll get a remotely historically accurate depiction of Babylon in animu form?
Not really cause the whole point of F/GO is going into a different parts of time and fixing abnormalities within that area of time. But Gil's VA is narrating the Epic of Gilgamesh in CD format.

Fate isn't about historical accuracy, so much as its a different take on the myths and shit. You'll see a lot of familiar Babylonian names, phrases, imagery, but it'll all have a certain different flavor to it. All of Tiamat's sons show up, they get called by name, you get details like that, but you don't get accuracy.

I hope Kotaro appears even if only to die like in that shitty Extra anime. I love that guy.

>Be Gilgamesh
>Handsome, intelligent and a great leader
>Have all the women wanting you to dick them down
>Settle for your hetero life mate not gay weird relationship with your best friend twink
I don't get this dude.

Chances are they'll show all the offscreen deaths of the original seven summoned. Although his and Amakusa's deaths were particularly embarrassing.

Eh, Ill give it a shot. Half the fun of the ancient middle east is how drenched in mythology everything is.

Come to think of it, how were they killed? Don't tell me they were killed by Fuji-nee. I don't really wanna see Fuji-nee kill anyone.

Babylonia anime twitter retweeted the KYOMAF announcement from FGO official twitter before, so we will probably get some news soon

Attached: IMG_9893.png (800x307, 251K)

Amakusa and Kotaro = eaten by Taiga while trying to explore the forest
Tomoe = Goes out in a double kill against Timat's strongest general
Ibaraki = Ran away at the first chance, went to live in the mountains

I forget who the other one was

Leo, Ushi, and Benkei managed to survive

>eaten by Taiga
Ugh. That makes me sad.

I want to see the entire vore process in the HD BD's

Attached: image0-2.gif (500x625, 1.7M)

Taiga in the forest is too strong. Even having Merlin in your party didn't allow you to beat her when you were in the forest. Amakusa complains about being beaten by her in Gil Caster's interlude.

More like I don't really wanna think about Taiga eating people.

I mean in Last Encore he did nothing but get exploded by Robin so it won't be too different.

Eh its probably not literal, she probably just killed them.

>CasGil: Tch, how cunning…! The accuracy was precise. Did you learn that from your time with Fuuma? To think that you’ll be able to rise up from that.
>What, did you meet a monster? A beast that is outside the limit of common sense?

>Amakusa: Yes. Because of that, I’ve become traumatized of jaguars. I was completely defeated by that servant.

Is this why Taiga is so disliked? For a character from the original her servant has like no popularity.

>Is this why Taiga is so disliked?
No its because she's Taiga. She was a third rate character even in the VN. She's never had any real popularity in the first place. And her art in the game is done by one of the artists people tend to complain about.

Part of the problem probably lies in her being a 3*. Also her art isn't super-great. Plus a lot of FGOfags are tertiaries who never read Fate/stay night.

Ibaraki actually formed a bandit squad and defeated powered up Humbaba.

Being low rarity doesn't overly affect popularity I think. Like Bart and Jason are doing pretty well. Izou is massively popular and Salleri was pretty popular as well. Kotaro doesnt do bad either. Though weirdly few low rarity females come to mind except Serenity and Euryale though maybe there are less?

>fate is a bastardized pornbait tertiary baiting kusoge for SEAniggers with gambling addictions

How do you save Fate at this point? Is it even possible? Considering Nasu probably makes millions a month so even if the kusoge croaks and he's be out of his hack writing job, he wouldn't have to return to actual writing possibly for the remainder of his life.

Attached: IMG_9887.png (900x720, 229K)

Good, that shit was fucking bad

Because he was made by gods. The people in Uruk are brown.

According to Nasu, Takeuchi is actually the busiest of anyone at TYPE-MOON, but he somehow always finds the time to draw more Sabers. He's always giving Nasu more Saber art.

You do realize that most of the profits come from Japanese whales, right? SEAfags don't have the luxury to whale when they're barely scraping by in their third world countries. The majority of the whaling comes from China and Japan with EU+NA contributing a small percent too. Mainly Japan though which is why you see cases like Daigo a lot there.

I really want to like her and she has a fantastic personality, but I can't fucking get over how masculine her face looks in the in-game sprites thanks to the shitty makeup and accessories. Fanart has helped, but it's a sort of permanent stigma I can never erase from my mind that keeps her off the higher waifu tiers, similar to Nightingale and Atalante

It's okay to be gay bro

It indeed is okay to be gay. You'd have to to be attracted to that face, a real shame I'm not

Roman literally explains it's not that difficult, but you require a lot of mana and the exact coordinates which is what is difficult to get.

Obviously Fate is not going to represent Babylon anywhere ner accurately but you may be surprised how educational the sheer silliness that is Fate can often be. It's full of references and anecdotes about history or legends worked in in clever ways that might make you look into the real-world information. Yeah it's largely outrageous but things like the Fate version of the Fianna may get you to read about the actual Celtic myths. Details like Med Bee getting killed with a piece of cheese and how very many people indeed get killed by boars in mythology.

I will catch flak for this but for what it is, Fate is a neat entryway to get people interested in myth and history because very little of it is just made up out of nothing. For FGO, Nasu reads about history and legends and uses interesting things from it to inspire servants and plots. Take Florence Nightingale. I learned the very basics about her in high school but there is a lot more to her than the paragraph you get in textbooks.

She was in the Crimea, helped create modern sanitation standards, modern nurses to this day take the Nightingale Pledge (like the Hippocratic Oath for nurses). Without getting into her life story, let me just say she's fascinating. So OK. Normally you decide to make her in a game like Fate, obviously she is a healer type right? A Caster probably. But no. She's a BERSERKER. This makes no sense unless you read real history and find out that she carried a fucking gun, as a socialite woman, that long ago, is said to have threatened generals with grenades, and was generally a terror as long as it got her what she wanted to turn the field hospitals from cesspits to cleanliness. She was fucking BASED and possibly a psychopath.

tldr Fate is unironically a path to learning. Come for the tits, stay for the stories of King Gilgamesh killing boar monsters and the real-life history of the creation of the first writing system with letters.

Fate Servants are really all about picking and choosing the coolest/most interesting/silliest aspects of any mythical/historical figure and accentuating/exaggerating the fuck out of them. If you can get over how King Arthur's a girl, Nasu's take on the Arthurian cycle is hilariously accurate.

>/alter/
Dumb imouto

Can confirm. Every chick I know who's watched Fate loved Gil. I thought maybe slicing a little girl's eyes out would make my wife change her mind but it didn't. I can't complain since he's such a magnificent son of a bitch plus when you own a few thousand bucks of anime boobs and butts figures and she helps you pick them out you have no room to bitch about some fujo tastes. Thanks for reading. Please lease a like and subscribe to my blog!

BROS onii-chan is laughing at us AGAIN!

Attached: 1557281538249.png (777x654, 770K)

>Nasu's take on the Arthurian cycle is hilariously accurate
It's far more accurate than most modern Hollywood movies that depict the same legend that's for sure. Just pretend it's Fate/Prototype male Arthur there and you have one of the more faithful retellings of Arthurian legends in modern times. Although in non-Arthurian legends they seem to take a lot of creative liberties. Like the whole 'Nero is totally just misunderstood I swear guise' deal.

Oh no, Nero isn't misunderstood. She really was a selfish and eccentric tyrant who caused a lot of problems. Mind you, Nero wasn't COMPLETELY horrible. In reality, he was pretty popular among commoners. But he was insanely self-centered, wasteful, stupid and hedonistic. What Nasu did was take a lot of Nero's negative traits and make them kinda moe. But Nasu himself never really said that Nero did nothing wrong. He just blames some of the worse shit she did on the constant migraines throughout her life sapping away more and more of her sanity until she went full-fuck crazy. We never see any of that stuff, though.

Also, he carefully tiptoes around the whole "oh, yeah, also he castrated a boy and made him his love slave" thing.

>Also, he carefully tiptoes around the whole "oh, yeah, also he castrated a boy and made him his love slave" thing.
wansn't that the whole bride thing?

I FUCKING HATE THESE UGLY FLAT NOSES JESUS FUCK

Attached: Japanese goburin.jpg (781x888, 305K)

>take a lot of Nero's negative traits and make them kinda moe
Yeah. Summer 2 is all fun and games and Nero casually mentions how much experience she has with assassinations from both sides. Plus its worth mentioning that she still had her mother killed in Fate. Best girl.

Attached: 003 (1).jpg (820x1220, 304K)

>he hasn't fucked Kingu
What a fag.

I FUCKING HATE LIZ HAHA FUCK YOU NIGGER

Don't take this as some defense saying Nero is a dindu but most modern scholarship says that he was smeared and shit on by the political opponents who were the winners (and as we know, those are who write history). He was a very divisive figure who was hated by the powerful men of the day and also by a fringe cult of whackos who went on to become the biggest religion in a large part of the world. these groups shit on Nero nonstop and he did't make it hard with his eccentric behavior. A book came out a while back by some professor who studied him for many years (including excavating the Golden Theater, which is a real ruin you can either visit now or will be able to when it's been cleared for tourists, I am not up to date on that). Anyway a lot of the most famous stories like him fiddling while Rome burned or even setting the fire are sheer bullshit, that's not even cotroversial any more. It's well documented by other nations that he wasn't even in the country when it happened.

Nero is like any political figure, really. Remember this was a real person involved in real politics very similar to our own. If Nero was alive today he'd be getting shit on by Fox News or MSN or whatever no matter what he did and his popularity polls would hover around 50% give or take, just like usual.

Nero is not like King Arthur, he's more like Obama or GW Bush. Umu.

Crossing a notorious Roman emperor with Haruhi Suzumiya was a fucking stroke of genius imo.

Attached: 5221xfsvfe411.jpg (640x1010, 66K)

and that she beat up children when playing with them

Bitch had it coming.
>yfw you realize Umu has the headaches because of drinking poison from silver and mercury lined cups for years
Fate Nero is a glorious lovable piece of shit but at no point does she ever act like her hands are clean. Quite the opposite. Remember all the FGO iterations of the characters are caricatured heavily as well. I mean compare Arturia to the vn/anime.

I wish they wouldn't try to downplay Nero's darker side at all. I don't even blame her for going mad, not when she was raised in a poison-flavored conspiracy her whole life. Every time she eats it could be her last meal and not even her mother is entirely on her side. I wish Nasu wouldn't tiptoe around the issue and just have her straight up admit she did what she did but say Chaldea has no right to judge her when they weren't in her place. Nero probably did horrible things in her lifetime but I can understand how she got there.

He suits up towards the end
Also he's not the dude in armor that matters, islamchads are going to rise up

>Nasu's take on the Arthurian cycle is hilariously accurate.
Imagine believing this retardation

FGO is about fun and sunshine and cheap jokes. Fucking Gilles is now just lol kimoi jannu otaku.

Attached: 1554200621034.jpg (1280x591, 197K)

don't speak to me nasu dicksucker go to watch LE and try to understand it like he would like

If you play her games (or even watch the episode with her backstory in Last Encore) they get into that. Her character is that she is well aware that she was a tyrant and hides her true name from her master because she thinks he'll hate her if he finds out who she is. Now she's a "shadow" but she's here right now and has a chance to live a new life with no regrets and a song in her heart. I would't say her peppiness is an act or anything but she is definitely glossing over some deep, bad shit.

If we really want to boil her down to her essence, there is Nero Fest, Golden Theater, tax relief, lion wrestling, coin-issuing, loved by her country's former enemies Nero of the People. On the other end is the fact that any Roman emperor is a tyrant by definition, she had her mentor killed, persecuted Christians, and ignored problems that lead to suffering. FGO Nero simply carries the former part to over-the-top levels because Nero is most known for being over the top. Every Caesar did bad shit, that's not why Nero has the legend he does. It's because he thought he was an artist blessed by Venus and did outlandish things. So that's mostly what you get.

Also bear in mind that just like with Gilgamesh, "evil" things were not evil to the people at the time, certainly not in the way we deem them evil today from our air-conditioned, easy lives. Killing a cult of blasphemers against your gods and trash talking the Empire was GOOD AND NOBLE. Most people would have been cheering when Nero had Christians strung up and we'd probably be amongst them. They were the Taliban of their day (complete with murderous zealots, in fact that's where the word comes from). It's easy to look back now on a world that seems like mythology to us and try to place modern morality and context on it as if we're arbiters of good and evil but that's dumb, really.

At any rate Nero was absolutely crazy as fuck (this is well documented by a wide variety of people who had no dog in the fight).

Ooku wasn't written by Sakurai tho ?

>FGO
Who gives a fuck, where's the Strange Fake adaptation?

You'd be hard pressed to find many books or movies more "accurate" especially since it's all bullshit legend anyway and the only reason we still talk about it today is because the French romanticized it centuries afterward. Certainly more on-point than Ivanhoe or something.

I have no idea honestly, but probably a Rinface. They always tease new servant/character (sometimes their names get redacted too) in Material book, this time we have
>Tomoe Gozen: Taira no Kagekiyo (got mentioned in Kintoki Rider mats before)
>Kato Danzou: Kashin Koji, Fuuma Kotarou (first generation)
>Osakabehime: Minamoto no Yoshitsune
>Circe: Odysseus, Penelope, Charlemagne/Roland/Astolfo/Bradamante (she also has lines for Medea Lily, Asterios, Atalanta, Jason and more)

I think the point is he jobs and ends up there, but since he jobbed due to not giving a fuck he just struts around as usual before leaving.

Fuck the fight against her corrupted version though.

Just Enuma Elish them lmao

So the Rin aspects are pretty light on her. She doesn't react to things that are meaningful to Rin, only to Ereshkigal. I guess Kama's more or less the same.

Is it really jobbing if the one who killed GIlgamesh was Gilgamesh from working himself so hard he literally died from it?

But Enkidu was literally more beautiful that any woman. He won't be in anime though, because they already ruined it with pseudo-Takeuchi shit style.

in Sumerian (or is it Akkadian?) myth Gil actually becomes a sort of demigod of the Underworld and judges the dead after he dies

RULER GILGAMESH SOON, BROS!

>He won't be in anime though, because they already ruined it with pseudo-Takeuchi shit style.
We might get flashbacks since it's confirmed the anime will be different from the manga.

>His a kind individual who is easy to talk to. He tested if its possible to find a plant that can grow in the Netherworld. The result wasn't so great, but I've never forgotten his effort for me.
But ingame Eresh seems kinda shit-scared of Enkidu

>Sooner or later, you might be treated as the God of the Netherworld instead of me okay?
>in Sumerian (or is it Akkadian?) myth Gil actually becomes a sort of demigod of the Underworld and judges the dead after he dies

There was someone who theorized about Gil becoming Ruler in Strange Fake but that he wouldn't fit all conditions. But if there really is a "judge of the dead" version of Gil in the Nasuverse that sounds like it would fit the bill.

That's right

Nero was probably actually insane though. At least near the end of his reign. So, to some extent, it makes sense to blame some of her worst moments on insanity.

Enkidu always wears pants.

I always thought the only thing he wore was that dress for some reason.

He’s basically Gil lite. Everything about Gil, just lesser for the sensitive audience

I wish.

Many women like bad boys because they're dangerous and want to "fix" them. Obviously fixing them makes them less interesting but still. Kinda like many men want to "fix" tomboys.

why do women want someone they can ‘fix’?

tomboys are perfect there's nothing to fix

I agree, but there's many who want to put them in dresses for some reason
Fuck if I know, I'm not a woman

That's just generalizing
It amounts to saying "I was a bad person once. A bad bad. Totally though. I won't mention anything specific though so I can say it doesn't count later"

Most of her bad deeds have been retconned, so simply saying "I was a bad bad" doesn't mean much unless she specifies.

racist pseudo-history take on the spread of proto-indo-european speakers, nice.

Babylon was ethnically diverse but majority dark. Your Aryans didn’t show up for anither millennium and never constituted the ruling class in mesopotamia, except in the fringe kingdoms of the levant.

it’s just typical neo-nazi fantasy-history but suit yourself.

PIE-speakers really did take over a lot of bronze age societies thanks to their use of technologies like chariots and such, but there’s 0 reason to think they were blue-eyed blondes (a phenotype that was historically limited to northern europe) and every reason to think they resembled the ethnicities of the places they came from and inhabited. It’s literally just some nonsense that 20th literal nazis invented to justify their neuroses.

The most direct descendants of the Aryans are modern-day Iranians.

Huge secondary here, I have a question: So I see FGO categorizes servants depending on, amongst other things, if they were actually real humans or if they were born out of legends and folklore, but then the plot keeps treating the last ones as if they really, truly existed, and you travel to the places they inhabited (like Camelot) and they're seemingly real. How does that work? Did they exist, or not?

99% of servants existed. Born out of legends and folklore is only relevant to our world, but in FGO, they were historical fact.

How many panic attacks have all the blonde/light-haired, white-skinned, and light-eyed servants in this thread given you?

Most of servants did exist in Nasuverse. Even Holmes, Moriarty, Jekyll/Hyde, Dantes,... are real humans.

Then why are they categorized as fictional?

well at least merlin is a dude, even if he's a bishie

That's where their legends are most well known.

Because that's what people normally think they are, no ? Usually their true back stories will only be explained in later bond profile or materials. For Jekyll's case he has a side story about his past in TM Ace which features Moriarty, Holmes and Watson too. Holmes also appears in Helena's backstory and Dantes just shows up in FSF.

if that retard really wanted to ruin it he would have to make a lot of effort to make that happen , but don't put it pass on it lmao

I wonder how Narita would feel about that.

Could Araya Souren solo an entire Holy Grail War?

I love Narita but he should get over his autism. Nasu gave him free rein to do what he wants with SF but Narita keeps going "b-but FGO canon!!". It's obvious Nasu doesn't give a shit and retcons stuff here and there plus he has different ideas what to do with characters such as Enkidu, Prelati, Edmond etc I get why Narita wants to be good with the story and not confuse the readers/fans but at this pace he will never finish SF.

Nasu's apparently willing to be flexible with his universe for for the benefit of his staff. Supposedly he tried to be flexible for Hiroyuki, but Hiroyuki straight up said "No, there's no way Prisma could fit in with the rest of Fate".

The story doesn't even take place in Babylon, it's Uruk. Mesopotamia as a whole is just called "Babylonia" for laziness reasons.

Yeah, I know about Hiroyuki. And as I said I understand Narita but in a setting like Fate, in which Nasu rewrites stuff all the time, it won't work. And even if Nasu wanted to tell him stuff regarding characters, he can't because they are in different companies. Anyways, if we get Gilkidu flashbacks I hope Narita enjoys them. The guy went through some health and he is working on 2-3 stuff at the same time, he needs to rest.

The anime might actually give him some personality.

From what we've seen so far, he's just a straightforward basic protagonist. Nothing particularly interesting or unique about him.

Remember when Gilgamesh was a murderous incel rapist? TypeMoon doesn't.

Are they confirmed for 12 eps ? Or 25?

>f you’re not quite sure how to parse all that, then the simple explanation is that this wasn’t a high priority episode by any means. Though the exact train of thought by the higher up executives tends to remain a secret in cases like this, it’s likely that it was requested specifically for the game’s 4th anniversary, and based on comments by certain staff members, there’s evidence that this decision was taken while the production on the actual show had already started — meaning that this is episode #00, but not truly the start of the production. And to be fair, this feels like sensible management of the team’s resources. Rather than a bombastic introduction, it’s meant to help ease viewers — particularly those who haven’t been playing the game — into Mash and Romani’s characters; if studio Lay-Duce’s Fate/Grand Order: First Order OVA was meant to get new viewers acquainted with the overall setting, then this serves a similar role when it comes to central members of the cast.

>Keeping that in mind, then, it’s not that farfetched of an interpretation to consider this episode relatively modest by design. Hooking in viewers as soon as possible is important of course, but there wasn’t much of a point to make a non-standard release like this steal the thunder from its own wide premiere… especially if you consider that half the world is already into the game they’re adapting in the first place. And thus this tricky task — causing a positive first impression without spending all that many resources and not overshadowing the real premiere — fell to Takao, which I’m willing to argue wasn’t a coincidence either. After all, she’s one of few people who can deliver an end product that sticks to that goal while also being worth taking a closer look at.

Because someone kept insisting the episode looked like shit (which it didn't).
blog.sakugabooru.com/2019/08/09/fate-grand-order-a-prelude-to-something-bigger/

He doesn't own rights to the Epic of Gilgamesh so he can go fuck himself. No one is gonna wait until he finishes his novel after 30 years.

This is after his journey for immortality. According to the Epic of Gilgamesh, Gil was a total asshole until he met Enkidu, lost him, went on a journey of immortality, lost the elixir that he obtained and ultimately comes back a better and wiser person.

But he already had Enkidu in FSN and he was a psychopath incel rapist that wanted to kill 90% of mankind.

The point in his life Gilgamesh is summoned from affects his personality. So when he drinks the potion of youth and becomes a child, even though he has full knowledge of everything he went through throughout his life, he treats it as someone else. The child Gilgamesh is friendly, humble and respectful. Also he wants to kill the adult Gilgamesh.

The only thing that can ruin any amount of action or character, horrible animation!

Most Servants tend to be like this. There's a sense of dissociation with memories of their respective future, so if you summon the younger version of a Heroic Spirit, even if they remember their whole life, they'll treat it as if it's someone else's memory. Gilgamesh isn't alone in this.

being revived as a servant doesn't bring you back correctly or cuts out everything after the legends that makes them grow as a person. Edmond Dantes is a great example since he is avenger for going on a killing spree with nothing stopping him after the wrong done to him. He ends up surviving a fight to the death with a dead apostle, ends his revenge letting go of his anger and living the remainder of his life with his lover Haydée in another place at peace. People remember the epic story and the anger that consumed him and when summoned he will always be consumed by this anger and be an avenger because that's when he was strongest and remember mostly for at the time

gil is no better. He may have been a wise and nice person at the end but before that, he was a powerhouse king who fucked shit up and the people remember that more than anything so he will be summoned as that

I highly doubt that. There's been several manga and he's Generic MC in all of them.

It depends on the class he's summoned in too. If you summon him as Caster, he'll appear as the wise King of Uruk.

So are all Berserkers lobotomized?

No?

so as caster you could say he is summoned at the end of the epic while normal asshole gil is in the mid

Yeah. There also seems to be a chance that you could summon the child version as Archer, who's way less powerful but easier to deal with in every way.

I know wada/nasu talks about ccc gil being a different character altogether, but I always felt like it's actually still consistent with fsn/fz gil: extra verse is a fucked up post apocalypse sort of future where indeed you have to be strong and determined to survive. So really, it's not strange that ccc gil is much less of a dick as those that remain in extra verse are ones who have proven their worth.

Why do they all act stupid but can talk properly when non as a berserker like Fran

>incel rapist
I swear you faggots just randomly parrot buzzwords without knowing what they mean.

Read the VN

Wada says that Gilgamesh in CCC is closer to how he's portrayed in Fate/hollow ataraxia. Generally, the less exposure he has to 21st century Earth, the easier he'll be to deal with.

they don't all act stupid

No it's long and boring
Which ones dont act stupid?

Why didn't he use his anti magical spear thing against Sakura?

Nasu has said something similar as well and anyway. I mean, even when they did the callback in Babylonia, Nasu even really drives it to you with cas gil actually meaning it with reference to how there is no 'excess in his kingdom.

vlad, kintoki, spartacus, atalante, asterios, kiyohime, eric, tamamo cat, beowulf, cu alter, nigthingale, ibaraki, mhxa, hijikata, chacha, penth, bunyan, nobu, jeanne alter, xiang yu, arjuna alter, mori nagayoshi and salome

Why do some lose braincells like Fran, Lancelot and Herc?

Read the VN

21st century humanity put Gil in a really fucking bad move. He hated it so much that he spent most of the ten years since Zero in his younger form. The only thing he likes is the fashion of the modern era. That biker jacket he wears in UBW is his favorite. Shinji was probably the straw that broke the camel's back.

fran was made improperly so she find's speaking hard. Lancelot and Herc are taken from the times the were in life, rampaging after guinivere and cursed by the gods

No. It's long and boring
Only vns I read are 20 hours at most

Although they're not raving mad you still need to watch yourself around Spartacus and Kiyohime. Need to make sure you don't come off as an oppressor or a liar.

You also need to watch out around Eric if you're a girl, I think.

no you need to watch out for his wife

Tecaztlipoca when?

I mean compare 21st century humanity to his era's Uruk. The people of Uruk are genuinely great.

They better not fucking cut out the SoL bits in the anime. It's part of what makes Babylon actually good.

Well, the SoL -> apocalypse transition is what really makes it work

That's one of the most consistent things they have said.
They are cutting most of the sol stuff out

But they said literally the opposite

>the studio in charge of Babylon is worse than the one that did Apocrypha
Hold me

Attached: a57.gif (500x272, 493K)

Where?

If you summon Eric, you can't avoid his wife.

>Amazing production schedule way above the standard of the industry (started full production before Neverland even started airing)
>Insane staff with veterans from all over the industry
>did episode 0 as a side project to have something extra for the anniversary

Do people still judge an anime only by looking at the studio?

Well considering episode 0 which is suppose to highlight what's coming has this crap I am not keeping my hopes up. Apocrypha and Extrav were quality material left and right every episode

Which studio?

A two second long brief fanservice cut is never going to be given the same attention and effort as something like Galahad's summoning, user. And in spite of the low detail, it's still relatively on-model. You should be concerned if they have actual off-model and freeze frames in close up lingering shots.

Attached: 1539164848874.jpg (575x503, 85K)

What other Pseudo-Servants would you like to see?

Kairi as Van Helsing

None. Pseudo servants was a mistake.

None. I want new character designs not force fanservice crap

Nasu's pretty adamant about not letting gods become Servants without those loopholes, though.

Then don't fucking make gods into servants. And you make it sound like that's the only loophole when you have shit like Artemis hijacking Orion, or Quetz being an alien virus inhabiting someone that isn't based off existing characters.

>Gorgons
>Quetz
>Artemis
Uh huh

Artemis is using Orion's Saint Graph. As a result, we'll never get an actual Orion Servant. She can't display her power as a goddess, she can only use the skills Orion had in life.
Quetzalcoatl is inhabiting the body of a woman he possessed once before.
Gorgons are so absurdly weak that they can fit into a Servant's Saint Graph and still come out stronger for it.

All loopholes.

And none are pseudoshits.

But they want to make gods into Servants so shut the fuck up. If you want to change it, why don't you take over Type-Moon?

After Kyoani security will probably be tight. Give me a few months

There's something up with those Greek divinities, I swear.

Destruction beats all.

And he told you that you can have pseudos and gods without relying on recycling old characters. The post even cited examples of said loopholes.

FGO is meant to celebrate Fate as a whole. Why should they ignore the human characters? FGO is Fate before it's a game about mythical heroes.

Matou Shinji: Lóegaire Búadach
Bazett Fraga McRemitz: Morrigan
Karen Ortensia: Mary Magdelene
Kishinami Hakuno (male): Prometheus
Kishinami Hakuno (female): Avalokiteśvara

user please, how is it celebrating when it's not even them? Ishtar still isn't Rin. She says and does Ishtar things that sometimes resembles Rin.

There could be 20 copies of me and they combined could not ever be as useful and resourceful as someone like Siduri. Uruk's citizens were really that great.
I'm cautiously optimistic in the anime, Ep 0 wasn't half bad. If they don't fuck it up like Last Encore then I can see it being average at worst. I do worry they'll use fucking terrible CGI for the Lahmus though. I still want to see more of the Camelot movies because it's my favorite singularity, though.

If you only watch the anime for fate then you miss out on the fact that all servants have stat sheets and skills

Berserkers all have madness enchant as a skill. At high levels it stops them from communicating properly

Each class has particular skills

She was a demon at that point, not a magus. She corrupted his gates, her touch can corrupt anything made of spirit

>At high levels it stops them from communicating properly
no each person has a problem but Hercules is the only one with madness only because of hera.

Nah, he has madness enchant as well. In order to have madness enchant you have to have gone insane at some point in your life. Madness skill brings you back to the moment when you were most insane.

Hera's curse is why he qualifies for berserker class.

Ana is lovely, I'll watch it for her.

Berserkers who can speak, but are incapable of holding a proper conversation:

>Caligula (A+) (Has rare moments of lucidity under certain conditions.)

Berserkers who can speak and display some vague degree of lucidity but conversation subjects are extremely limited:

Berserkers who are generally reasonable and lucid but conditionally lose themselves to madness:

Berserkers who maintain all reason and speech:

>Paul Bunyan (D)
>Beowulf (E-)

Idiots:
>Tamamo Cat (C)
>Mysterious Heroine X Alter (C)
>Mori Nagayoshi (D)

She's not immune to Noble Phantasms. She's not Goetia. There were most likely weapons that could kill her easily. Even in the Grail War, and Excaliblast would have destroyed her.

I'd put Bunyan in idiot tier

Only way to kill her at that point is an attack that kills every part of her at once. A large mana blast of some sort. She corrupted and ate all Gil's other NPs and ate his gates in the movie.

There are most likely other ways. Don't estimate the bullshit of Heroic Spirits. Upper-tier Servants like King Hassan, Merlin and Solomon could probably deal with her easily. Medea probably could have done something about her too since everything about Sakura is related to thaumaturgy. Also, hypothetically, a Heroic Spirit related to Zoroastrianism who knows how to deal with Angra Mainyu would have an edge against her.

Clever girl

>With regards to Artoria Lily, Santa Alter, and Emiya Alter, it was Takeuchi’s fault. They were extraneous from a scenario perspective so it wasn’t a writer’s idea. Just Takeuchi going “I want a cute character” and “I want an Alter for Emiya”.
>For example, the writer’s side wouldn’t suggest an Emiya Alter since an Emiya fallen to evil couldn’t be said to be Emiya. But since Takeuchi wanted it, they rethought the matter and came up with a special case where it could be possible. And after rethinking and rewriting that concept, they came up with a character that was actually popular with the players and added more to the story by his presence.
>Nasu thinks FGO has struck a good balance between the writers and the artists. Although it’s a game that is primarily led by the story, the game wouldn’t come alive if everything was decided solely by the writers.

>Has Nasu ever said no to Takeuchi’s wishes?

>Nasu: “I reject most of them! I go, “it’s impossible so stop it”. But he won’t listen to me…”

Based Takeuchi

Then every possible seibuh variant starts showing up.
He also clearly avoids drawing feet since he knows he can't do it.

I don't even know why she was here instead of rider medusa
she's weaker and rier would have gotten the same result on gorgon

RockStar Nobu is under idiots as well.

>Orleans montage/flashback
> main cast doing exposition and other plot stuff
>Kojiro quietly cutting down giant repitilian swallows in the background

This actually did make me learn quite a bit more on many of the servants real counterparts after looking them up, very interesting history learned from there.

Also this
>While deciding on Raikou’s background, Takeuchi started saying “wouldn’t it be nice if Raikou was a girl”. While they were trying to stop Takeuchi, the writer-in-charge started investigating Raikou’s background and found out about the Ushi Gozen episode. They then got inspired to tie it together.
Now when i think about it, Raikou's background in Fate is pretty similar to Artoria's

Story reason: as a foil of pre corruption medusa vs corrupted medusa
Real reason: lmao use rider medusa and forgo shilling a new servant?

Takeuchi has been doing this sort of thing since Tsukihime at the very least.
>No Nasu, you don't get it. The Vampire chick should look like this cute french model from this fashion magazine. And we meed maid, everyone loves maids. And sex, don't forget the sex.
>Oh, you don't want to write sex? Okay, I'll do it for you
>Silly Nasu, nobody buys otome games. Make the MC a guy and turn King Arthur into a hot blonde chick that looks like Hisui. Also, make Rider a girl. Trust me on this. Also, the loli should be approcheable instead of batshit crazy, we can sell more merch this way.

>any singularity
>main cast chilling while support cu alter clears the enemies

Woof. God damn are those some ugly thotts.

Wait, why does Babylon get it's own series and not any of the others?

Camelot is getting a movie

They're skipping to the good singularities

>Hercules angrily smashing literally everything while dragging the other characters on a trailer

They asked fans what singularity do they want animated. Everyone voted for camelot and babylonia.

Camelot is getting at least 2 movies, the singularities before America aren't as interesting

Because of the fanvote (Babylonia ranked #1, Camelot #2 and Solomon #3). Even in the lastest survery in Famitsu, those are still top 3 most favorite main story chapters (Shimosa ranked #4 and LB4 ranked #5)

They asked fgo fags. Fgo fags voted camelot and babylon as top 2. Also, not like it matters. Early chapters were trash anyway. Murica is not bad though. And london has minor plot importance stuff but has too much filler, at most a 20min OVA

Nobody in their right minds would watch an anime containing Orleans and Septem.

I want an American singularity.

Also where do I watch episode 0? Crunchyroll?

>Arash summoned and forced to STELLA again and again

>Those were really something. Seriously. When I first wrote the plot, Arc, Ciel, and Akiha were very fleshed out. But then...

>"So these three..."
>"I want a maid."
>"OK, I'll make one. What kind would you..."
>"Twin maids."

>I was taking these split-second counterattacks back then. (Laughs) I happen to like cook's aprons, so I said, "OK, I'll make twins, but one is going to wear a cook's apron. I'll take the older one, so you can have the little sister." And so that was it. I was in charge of making them. But when I gave him the script...

>"They can't talk like this."

Funimation or on nyaa

Almost forgot, gudao or gudako? Mash's relationship works more with the male master.

>Waver buffs Lu Bu
>Lu Bu clears the stage
>Repeat forever
That's how I do most quests.

I smell an animated Part 2 prologue or Lostbelt 1 with how much they're emphasizing the Crypters back in Lostroom and now this

Attached: We were here from the start.jpg (1920x1080, 345K)

Gudao

Fuck the haters, taiga best girl!

>Perfect has to be blonde
>somehow the color of you hair makes you better than others

Never change polyards.

On another note, I actually think he it's a shame Nasu didn't give him brown/dark hair. There's way to many blonde characters.

For crunchyroll do I need an account to watch episode 0 or is it free with ads?

Takeuchi likes blond hair (and specially blonde hair), and Takeuchi is the main character designer.

Just torrent it, you dolt

I was just asking if you needed an account or not.

I think you should use nyaa

Why do you need to know that?

Because if I can just click to it on Crunchy I might as well watch it, but if I need an account i'll just torrent.

Or you can just torrent.
Faggot.

Well you're useless for information.

I can't wait for Quetz!

Attached: IMG_2648.png (1334x750, 2.38M)

1. it's not on crunchyroll ,it's on funimation and animelab 2. you need premiumn for animelab and an account for funimation

Do I look like I'm here to babysit your shitty ass? Go check the site yourself, retard.

Okay so you need to pay for Crunchyroll, fuck that, i'll just use kissanime ;).

>Action directors are someone who only began animating 5 years ago and someone who's only ever drawn backgrounds before
>3D director is the guy from the Berserk anime
>Sound director is the guy from Apocrypha
>Music is being done by the guy whose biggest responsibility prior to this was writing the lyrics to Carnival Phantasm's ED
>Director's only prior direction work was a music video
You're all on drugs if you think this isn't going to be a total shitshow.

Episode 0 looked great, and was way better than the grand order OVA that it referenced. I was skeptical, but that episode 0 won me over. Thought we'll have to see when the rest comes out. The babylonia story is already a fun read so if they just stick to the script it'll be good

Attached: fate compare dsa.jpg (3692x3352, 3.23M)

>Music is being done by the guy whose biggest responsibility prior to this was writing the lyrics to Carnival Phantasm's ED
Kawasaki Ryo was in charge of First Order's music before while Haga Keita did FSN OST (with another person but i forgot his name) and FGO OSTs though ? They aren't new to Fate works.

Your ironic sjw act is really boring and tired. Please stop.

>>Sound director is the guy from Apocrypha
I'm not going to lie, I'd rather have Apoc's earrape than ufo's sound effects judging by the berserker vs saber alter fight in heaven's feel.
>Berserker charges salter
>Salter attacks him with a charged up excalibur
>Blade clashing sound effect is the most wimply sounding *ting* when it should be the sort of clash that breaks buildings

Seeing all the previous images o the other singularities. God I want an American series.

Septem and Okeanos could be made into a shorter series.

Everyone hates septem

Just read the manga for Okeanus and Orleans

From the Babylonia anime exhibition

Attached: IMG_0007.jpg (800x600, 60K)

how many episodes is this going to be?

oh they actually have the servants on the bad side looking corrupted in the manga

All the mortal people of Uruk don't look like that.

24 episodes is what I heard

As far as i know it hasn't been confirmed yet

Attached: IMG_0010.jpg (600x800, 111K)

Attached: IMG_0011.jpg (600x800, 115K)

cute!

>Eresh sparkling
I need it bros

That lion saber

Yeah but Excalibur is still the best version. It changes so much shit and yet you don't care. Plus it has Patrick Stewart and Liam Neeson before either were famous outside of the UK.

>Sound director is the guy from Apocrypha
uff Apocrypha is the only anime i have ever dropped because of sound direction

>yfw you realize Umu has the headaches because of drinking poison from silver and mercury lined cups for years
Extra literally says that this is why, there's nothing to "figure out"

She's cute

>Frankstein is a mental disabled teenage girl
They're going off of the Universal Studios GRRR FIRE BAD version of Frankenstein's Monster. Almost no one uses the original story's Adam who was intelligent but clearly mentally ill and hounded by his inner demons on the monster he was.

>Astolfo is a loli ladyboy
Is this 9gag or facebook?

She's not unintelligent. For some reason, her speech functions are impaired so putting her thoughts to words is difficult. She's surprisingly eloquent when she puts in the effort. You can think of her as more of an amalgamation of the Shelley version and the Universal version.

What's up with the pixel Eresh?

>Can't go into FGO threads without JP assholes spoiling
NA server is suffering. At least I can understand and read the plot.

seiyuu's signatures. from left -> right:
Shimazaki Nobunaga (Fujimaru Ritsuka), Takahashi Rie (Mashu), Kawasumi Ayako (Fou), Suzumura Kenichi (Romani), Sakamoto Maaya (Da Vinci), Seki Tomokazu (Gilgamesh), Kobayashi Yuu (Enkidu), Takahiro Sakurai (Merlin), Asakawa Yuu (Ana), Ueda Kana (Ishtar), Yumi Uchiyama (Siduri), Hayami Saori (Ushi), Inada Tetsu (Benkei), Shinichiro Miki (Leonidas)

Attached: IMG_0013.jpg (800x600, 81K)

It's a reference to how Astolfo in myth dressed up as a girl in order to convince a bunch of prostitutes to fuck another member of Charlamagne's paladins because he had gone mad

>Kawasumi Ayako (Fou)
Wait what the fuck

It's your own fault for being 2 years behind on the story you don't want spoiled dummy

Attached: 1547898857848.jpg (800x615, 116K)

Yep. Kawasumi Ayako's four roles in regards to Fate/Grand Order are:
>Altria (all versions)
>Anne Bonny (all versions)
>Proto Merlin (Excalibur Proto Activation)
>Fou

Yeah she voices Fou. Back in WinterFes (where they revealed new character visual for Babylonia anime), she said she wanted to speak human language too and in FGO Fes recently, we know that Maaya was laughing at Kawasumi for coming just to voice Fou's fous during the recording.

>we know that Maaya was laughing at Kawasumi for coming just to voice Fou's fous during the recording.

>Jeanne bullies Artoria

it's about the journey not the destination with fate anyway. most people who play JP on Yea Forums can't even read the story and rely on literal Reddit translations which often miss nuance/subtle things in the story.
Not to say the official localization is any better as they've already admitted that because it's a "Localization" they're putting their own spin to the story to make it more "appropriate" for NA audience, i.e. way less sexual content. Primary example being how in JP the dialogue was much cruder when describing the sexual acts they preformed in Agratha than in NA.

Apparently they got help from actual history researcher

One thing not really mentioned by others here is that the environments and structures are actually pretty damn nice looking. There's one point where you get a brief flash at Uruk's gates, and architecture wise it matches (or at least tries to match, because unlike things like that painting the person drawing the cgs didn't have several years to do it) the style shown in that painting, lots of deep blues and golds inlaid into smooth shaped stone. Uruk looks fucking colorful and gorgeous

Attached: hwDR6cD.png (2560x1440, 3.19M)

So why did Gilgamesh summon so many Japanese Servants? How did he summon them, anyway? To get a specific Servant, you'd need a catalyst, but what sort of catalyst could he have that'd call on Ibaraki-Douji or Amakusa Shirou? Even if he has the prototypes for everything, what could he possibly have that links to a Japanese goblin?

Gil is a huge weeb in fate lore

Wow you’re retarded

As long as they have this scene all will be right in the world.

Attached: IMG_2585.png (1334x750, 2.34M)

>Be Gilgamesh
>Seal away most of your powers to protect your city
>Summon some Heroic Spirits
>Summon the Mage of Flowers Merlin. Pretty good, pretty good. That's EX-rank Luck for you.
>Alright, let's summon seven more.
>The Spartan King Leonidas I. Okay, not bad. He can train your troops, he should be excellent for that role. But let's hope the others are a little better.
>Tomoe Gozen. Nothing to complain about. She's a fine warrior. It's a shame she dies later, but she manages to take down Tiamat's mightiest beast in the process.
>Ibaraki-Douji. ...She runs away to create a group of bandits. Well that's one wasted roll.
>Amakusa Shirou. He gets killed by a tiger. Worthless.
>Fuuma Kotarou. Also gets killed by a tiger. Worthless.
>Ushiwakamaru. Not even in her prime. Also gets kidnapped and brainwashed by the enemy later.
>Fake Benkei. A coward at that. Fuck.

Isn't Gil supposed to have amazing Luck?

>Action directors are someone who only began animating 5 years ago
That's plenty of time for a talented young animator to get noticed, and Toya Oshima has already done impressive work on the likes of Animator Expo and Mob Psycho.
>and someone who's only ever drawn backgrounds before
Not sure where you got this info, Megumi Kouno is a skilled veteran animator.

>Ibaraki-Douji. ...She runs away to create a group of bandits. Well that's one wasted roll.
Ibaraki took out Humbaba and lived. Better than the others can say.

I still don't understand why they are using gold coin instead lapis lazuri.

two limited SSRs, and two SRs is pretty godly luck for a 10 roll

> so if they just stick to the script it'll be good

Rin's VA confirmed that it was very different from the game. Hard to say if that's good or bad yet.

Fuck Mashu

Attached: Screenshot_20181219-144316.png (1280x720, 1M)

Probably cutting some part like where Gil is your support and enemy's entire line is rider.

One of those Limited SSRs dies to a fucking tiger. It's a cute as fuck tiger but he still died to it.
One of those SRs also died. I mean, she did really fucking good but now we're left with two Cs and a R. What? Merlin? He only starts doing shit after everyone's dead.

Just realize all servants in Fate/Stay Night except Sasaki Kojiro comes from myths and legends. True Assassin has no identity and just takes the name of Hassan. Gilgamesh is real but people know about him through Epic of Gilgamesh more than himself in real life. Kojiro is also arguably a fictional character. Seem like Nasu himself knows he shouldnt bullshit with actual historical figure in order not to trigger any austims. Iskandar and Gilles are his new steps but both of them are portrayed somewhat true to their real life counterpart. Iskandar is awesome while Gilles is a bad guy, just like common knowledge about them.
The moment Nasu genderbends Nero and twists her story to make her somewhat a good person, the limit for how Fate fucks with history is gone. And now we have Idol Elizabeth and otaku Blackbeard

>Otaku blackbeard
Do you also complain summoned Georgios has photography as hobby?

Its ok to give them hobbies or freshing personality. Just dont make them too ridiculous. And at least Type Moon know they will be done if they do anything with Jesus, Hitler and Allah.

Seems like most of the lapis lazuli is being used for the weaponry, such as the magic ballistas around Uruk - if Lapis is all used up for defense, a switch to gold currency makes sense

That big guy with the club with the tri-star belt in the Lostbelt opening might actually be Orion though.

Then again the horse guy turned to to be Xiang Yu of all people.

Attached: DSXexg_V4AA2GST.jpg (1280x720, 70K)

Can't be. Orion's supposed to be a prettyboy.

Didn't Nasu implied (or said?) that Ibaraki took down Humbaba? Seeing how even Archer Gil supposedly freaked out upon finding out that Humbaba was around in FSF, I'd say she did pretty well.

Here is that part if you need
>Mysterious Bandit Group - if I were to say in the opposite direction of the Black Cedar Forest, beyond Mount Ebih, in the mythical Mountain of the White Cedar, the resurrected sacred beast, Death Humbaba was being restrained by a beautiful golden oni unbeknownst to anyone, what would you think? (A: Impossible)

>(A: Impossible)
It means that he's kidding.

Attached: EBlu8fTU4AEMZ83.jpg (1024x576, 293K)

?
That word just means "temporary" though since it's not finished yet

Are the first three episodes of Case Files original?

I want to protect this smile

Siduri

Yes, except the first meeting between Reines and Waver.

Attached: IMG_0034.png (359x708, 122K)

Looking at it now, Episode 4 and 5 seem original too

First six.

Yes. Today episode (ep 6) is the last anime original episode btw.
