If you haven't seen at least 100 anime films including at least 40 from the 20th century you are a casual who needs to go back to veddit
If you haven't seen at least 100 anime films including at least 40 from the 20th century you are a casual who needs to...
>100 is the bar now
how Yea Forums has fallen
films only retard, the bar is 250 entries overall
>he actually thinks more than 5% of this boards userbase has seen tripple digit amounts of anime
Genuinely unsure if I should laugh at or pity you.
I have never seen a single anime film except DBZ ones.
I dislike short stories and barely have any 12 or under episodes series under my belt either. (Ping Pong is great though)
If you haven't watched the complete works of Yoshiyuki Tomino you don't know SHIT about anime.
You could have at least chosen a good anime for the OP pic.
So where are the Blurays for this shitty show? I refuse to watch the DVD rips.
>numbers
I just enjoy anime
Have a good day. Your life must be hard enough
Galaxy Express has at least aged better than a lot of other older anime.
If you haven´t read 50 doujinshi of at least 100 different series you are not allowed to use anime girls. tard .
The BD's are a terrible upscale. The dvds are superior.
Guess I'll never watch it then. There's no way I'll watch 100+ episodes of some sunday morning show in shit tier 480p and atrocious color accuracy.
I watch a gundam once. Now I have autism.
hot take: remasters from the era all look like crunchy ass
>hot take
More like
Hot take: It's pretty clear you don't watch a lot of anime
It's a timeless classic. Just can't get enough of blowing up entire planets because assholes live there.
Sounds like you dont actually give a shit and shouldn't watch it anyways.
because I prefer the boomer versions?
>the bar is 250 entries overall
Used to be 300
How could I give a shit about a show I haven't seen? Problem is: It's one of the few shows left on my backlog. Almost everything else are eighter unavailable movies/shorts or upcoming anime. The last DVD encode I forced myself through was Peter Pan no Bouken. No more. Then again, it's a bit late to reach this conclusion since I've already forced myself through plenty of dogshit encodes before, like 3000 leagues in search of mother etc. By got did that show look terrible.
Are there even a hundred worthwhile anime films?
numberlet confirmed
I've only been watching anime for around 2 years and have seen only 300, should I pick up the pace? Once I found manga I haven't really gotten into anime any more, currently on my 453th manga
If you haven't read at least 50 different manga series then you need to go back to veddit. That may not sound like much but I can guarantee you that it disqualifies over 50% of Yea Forums.
Depends on how low you set the bar for "worthwhile", if you set it at like a decent 6/10 then yeah I think there's more than a hundred. There's at the very least like 60 good ones.
I guess, when you put it that way.
The subs for sanzenri are much worse than the video quality.
there are a lot of OVAs that aren't bad and don't get watched
Depends, do they have to be largely stand alone, or can we include those that are connected to or continue existing anime properties?
No, you're about at the time when I a lot of people slow down or just burn out after their initial binge. Just watch whatever you want whenever you feel like it if you dont want to end up completely turned off from the medium.
If you include movie series and tie-ins the list gets inflated very quickly so yeah.
Used to be 1000. How the mighty have fallen
why should 30-40 percent of what you watch to have an understanding of anime be movies when the vast majority of whats considered worth the time is either tv anime or ovas, especially when considering how few anime movies are considered influential on the medium as a whole?
If you haven’t seen every anime that aired since the 50s you have no right to comment on the medium
If you haven't seen at least 500 Japanese films excluding anime then you have no right to comment on the medium since your favorite directors (Kon, Anno, Ikuhara, Dezaki, Takahata) all borrow their ideas from the classical and new wave era.
If you seriously kerp count of how many anime you've watched you are MAL cancer.
>If you haven't seen at least 100 anime films
I saw much more than that and most weren't worth the time, only redditors boasts about how much time they wasted watching crap for the sake of it.
Watch anime and read fucking manga you dirty casual because they're appealing to you, not because you have to prove a ridiculous point on the internet, in a siamese puppet theater board.
>be me
>live in Japan forever
>can hardly talk about anime with other men cause it's always "SO DO YOU LIKE GUNDAM?"
>seriously fuck gundam
At least I know one other guy who liked Utena.
You ever try going to an anime themed bar?
>doesn’t like gundam
fag
Ive been here since 2005 and its gonna take more than some fuckbucket from Yea Forums of all fucking places to get me to leave.
