The actions of each character directly polarizes the other, pushing Eren closer to Historia and creating a new dichotemy that was explored in the following Uprising arc.

And you missed the part of the my post that explained how the two situations weren't comparable since Historia had to put herself at risk by helping Eren while no such thing was expected of AM and both were kept in the complete dark about what their buddy was doing.
Eren couldn't "push her away to protect her" while having to make her a part of his machinations at the same time. Her pregnancy and the complete lack of visibility the government had on it was what removed her from the current conflict: Eren being a meanie to her doesn't accomplish that.

He perfectly could and you fail to give me any convincing reason why he couldn't.
You say that he can't because she's already involved, but if anything this would be just more incentive for Eren to drive her away from him.

And remember that i'm not saying that this is what happened, i'm saying that it is a perfectly valid possibility that would fit perfectly with the events that we have seen thus far.
