When Touma figures things out, they tend to be either nearly apparent or extremely close to someone else's guess that he was informed about. It's honestly feels more "within a system of stuff he understands" compared with Hamazura being able to figure out how to get kidnapped so he could pretend to defend a magical artifact and sell it to the enemy.

Innocentius cannot be nullified even by Touma's hand because he continuously regenerates. He's also made of fire meaning he deprives the area of oxygen. Something we know Accelerator needs to survive. This is literally the worst matchup for someone who has no training or even knowledge of how to reflect magic.

Accelerator is only vulnerable to oxygen deprivation when he lets it happen and, even before he has any idea what magic is, his reflection still disperses magic. Innocentius won't just bypass reflection. More to the point Accelerator can smack somebody harder than an airstrike and blow Stiyl, Innocentius, and all his cards away in one go.

How different would the series have been if Mami Kawada didn't retire?

Kamachi wanted there to be clones of Mikoto from the very first volume. He also says if that Accelerator's story would have been "very different" if he hadn't decided to make Mikoto a big part of OT3.

My guess is that the clones and Accelerator were always meant to exist, and possibly even be connected, but the storyline was meant to be very different.

Kamachi even hints (not confirms, but hints) Accelerator's design was even affected by yhe change in OT3. He said he thought it was much cooler for a skinny guy to powerful as opposed to a big muscular guy.

Kind of makes it sound like Accelerator was meant to be antagonistic and even look different, but it was all changed when he decided to give Mikoto a bigger role in the arc about her own clones

All that being said, Mikoto would have probably had a role in the story regardless. Just not "I love him because he saved my clones (that I don't have anything to do with afterwards)"

I don't know if it would have been better to have Mikoto deeply involved in something else and less knowledgeable about her clones, or if Kamachi had made that "you're my sister" speech in what we DID get more believable. I don't buy that Mikoto actually sees the clones as people to care about for their own sake. She only cares about them because they look like her, not because she thinks they're people in their own right.

She doesn't really count Last Order, and outright rejects Worst, the only two Misaka Sisters we've seen that have special add ons to their power (with Last Order controlling it all and Worst supposedly funneling negative emotions and being hacked on). If Will is just the Network itself gaining thoughts and feelings of it's own that are based off the majority (but by no means ALL) opinion of the network it would make sense. You could even suggest that Suit Touma was teased in WWIII as well

Aiwass apparently has a core aside from the one Accel shot too, so who knows the specifics. But anyway, I was mainly focusing on how IT (KnT, whatever you want to call it) and beetle shared memories and aspects of Touma and Kakine respectively, while Kazakiri doesn't really showcase any of that. Touma thought of her when he saw the core but then only thought of Beetle when thinking of an ability coming to life. I guess I think of it as the source of the power given form versus the power itself.

But then again, if this sentience is based off what the majority of what the clones think and feel, isn't it a little redundant? But it would be keeping with the theme of "sentient abilities DO have have some disconnect with their users" because in this case, Will would be ignoring the clones that do not match up with the majority opinion of the Network. Pretty much. I've seen one user say how Railgun would be used to promote the next Index novels, but that's stupid they've never done that.

NT S1 + full box set for all 23 NT novels for one price seems like it'll be good for hype. If you were to buy all 23 volumes in say October or November, you could essentially go from "never having read NT" to being all caught up by NEXT October if you read 2 books a month. By next October, I can only assume there'd be only one, maybe two, volumes of part 3 out
