Even if they don't stop making anime they could stop making the sorts of series I like. I'm sure at some point people thought Sci-fi and Mecha would always be huge after decades of it making up the majority of anime.
I doubt I'd be following much anime if SoL faded away so hopefully it sticks around for another decade.

Now that's an interesting question. Of these two, I'd invariably label Bermuda as a moe SoL. But for Endro, I'm not sure. It's moe, and episodic, and comedic, but there's something about it. Maybe it's more active than a typical SoL?

what about if SoL shifts into different forms? Maybe there's less Yuru Camp/Pan de Peace type of SoL, but more hybrids like SoL/Action(PreCure, Lagrange) or SoL/Mystery(Hyouka)? I do agree I'd be watching much less current anime if SoL faded off as badly as mecha did.

Precure and Lagrange are as much SoL as, for example, Mass Effect Andromeda is RPG. Like, it's there as a genre, but it's tertiary at best.

Kirara Forward is more like a regular otaku-focused seinen magazine compared to the other 4-koma focused Kirara magazines. Gakkou Gurashi and Aldnoah Zero are in the same magazine as Merry, it just has more genre variety and longer chapters compared to other Kirara magazines.
