But it's not even that. At least avengers there's some cool fights and none of the main characters cry like a little bitch because he doesn't get his way.

So far all I've seen was one semi-major fight where deku got one lucky fucking attack in and people are hyping him up like he did something when the bigger problem was the other dude just causing big ass explosions in a tiny building. Deku didn't really do shit in that fight.

If I keep reading, do I at least get the pleasure of watching deku get the ever loving shit kicked out of him to where he's beaten within an inch of his life? If they're going to make me hate this guy, I want at least a payoff to hating him. Yes, I said deku.

No, but you do get to see him be a wonderful gary stu with more asspulls than any other character, living a perfectly wonderful life with his superhero high school friends, and a cute girl who's inexplicably in love with him.

No, Deku always one punches the villains and never struggles while All Might verbally fellates him.

It's a simple story that appeals to everyone from age 10 to 90. It's your typical switch your brain off entertainment.

It had so much potential. And I stayed optimistic for a long time, but with the current arc I'm really considering dropping it.

not really. It never had potential, the premise was actually kinda boring with not much new to offer that hadn't been done already. What caught everyone's attention was the execution. It took a tired premise, and started doing tons of new things with it, or rather, it did things as best as they could be, making it much more entertaining. However, Horikoshi clearly started running out of steam after AfO fight. All Might is the heart and soul of the manga, but it really felt like he originally intented to kill him off there, at what seemed to be the halfway point for the story, belly of the whale kinda deal, before jumping forward a few years, and steaming ahead into the climax of the whole thing. Instead, things have now started to drag on like a motherfucker. It's like he was told to extend it due to the popularity, and doesn't know where to go with it anymore.

All in MHA is basically Harry Potter with Super heroes, with a captivating first few arcs, but overall executed much much more poorly, and with a certainly meandering aimlessness that's resulted in rehashing tired tropes and an All Might that's not longer a motivating mentor, but sorta just kinda there. it sucks.

Deku was never a good MC, what kept is all reading was All Might, now that he's basically a permanent vegetable, there's no longer any real hook to the series as without the tragic martyr hero, the rest of the characters just aren't any interesting.

Sad but true. The manga lost its heart and soul the moment All Might died and it went to shit.
Now only crazy fujos keep it afloat.

Summer Camp and Kamino Raid were the only actual good arcs of the series. Rest has been either super basic, uninteresting, or nonimportant.

It's a great, sexy show, OP. Give Deku another chance to rock your world, he won't bite unless you want him to NGGHHHH :D~
