>CG
into the trash it goes

Clearly not 3D are you fucking blind.

What do you call that waterwheel then?

Sequel or reboot?

Attached: img_1.png (498x1738, 100K)

I'm thinking rerun.

You can't reasonably expect any anime released today to be without CG. It's just not going to happen.

Will this be worse than Bee Train?

>Linden Films
That's the Berserk 2016 studio. At least the characters are hand drawn so far. Then again they can't match samura's art. Also the Anime is supposed to adapt the entire Manga. They will need at least 75 episodes for that.

Motherfucking Hamasaki? He is the very best director possible for this.
Seems kinda a bit too sudden, like is only a teaser and it airs in the next seasson.

I love me some good Samurai anime, Can't wait.
Liden is a bit potato at times but oh well.

Seems like every seinen shit is amazon prime. Wtf

>Kenjiro tsuda
This guy has like three roles just this season. couldn't they get someone else?

He's good, so who cares?

CGI shit.....jesus fucking christ, why idd such a great manga miss the period of good adapatations.....it hurts.

It's 2D with CG elements. Like almost every other modern anime.

>the period of good adaptations
Mmm yes beetrain BOTI was such a masterpiece

It's funny how he was mainly known for Kaiba for over 10 years, only to suddenly get cast in just about everything.

it's impossible to properly adapt the manga's art into an anime

Holy fuck, did Manji got ran over by a truck?

Berserk 2016 is Gemba and Millepensee, you retard
Liden is Killing Bites, Mahou Shoujo Asuka studio.
Inform yourself

>the period of good adaptations
When the fuck was that?. There's no period without shit adaptations. You just remember the best from whenever you mean and think they were all like that

>out of nowhere announcement
>already in October
Well hope it will be watchable

This, but if it gets people interested in reading the manga at least I can talk about it and not feel so lonely. Too bad they'll have to skip all the rape and dismemberment because "Amazon product."

>>out of nowhere announcement
They announced it in april or may

I read the manga so long ago that I don't remember whether I read the manga until the end or not. It's not a very happy ending isn't it?

Were you expecting a happy ending while reading it?
At least it gives us some closure.
The only thing that really bothered me was the fact Manji forgot about Rin years later. Unacceptable.
But the ending as a whole was satisfying.
A nice ride. Flawed masterpiece and only Samura's work worth reading.

I can't believe Manji answered The Call lads...

his immortality is eliminated, so he dies, he doesn't have time to fuck her rip

>studio: Liden films
Ahh yes, the place where old washed up franchises go to die.

I guess that after Sekiro success and everybody mentioning this they saw the chance to revitalize the franchise.
thanks OP for reminding me to finish this.

>Based Bites studio
Wew, can't wait now.

>DABS

I don't know why waste so much resource, this manga has too many volumes and it's not that good.

>Blade of the Immortal anime
>Hamasaki as director
>Kenjiro fucking Tsuda as my boi Manji
Please be decent

>forgot about Rin years later
He didn't forget. When her granddaughter give him a knife he understand who it was

For those who doesn't know yet, there's a spin-off manga.
readms.net/r/blade_of_the_immortal_bakumatsu_arc/01/5910/1

Another writer and another artist.
Bakumatsu era and shinsengumi on the plot this time.
Three chapters released on Afternoon and two chapters translated.
Sadly niggerstream is the one translating.

If you are expecting a 100% cgi free anime in this day and age, your choices will be pretty limited. It's sad that's where we are right now, but so it is

Well good that it has some closure.

With the scarce info we are getting about the anime when it's about to premiere in October, I feared that they just adapt the whole thing in 24 eps only.

Who's gonna voice Makie? I hope they got discount Noto

Are they gonna censor the swastika?

she looks old

Anime productions are greenlit years ahead of time, I doubt Sekiro had anything to do with it.

>Hamasaki
So good still shots, but probably not much animation? Might be for the best, don't know if you could expect high-quality animation of some of those movements or poses in a TV production, but at the same time high-quality still shots can't really be better than the manga's. I don't know, we'll see, I guess.

>Sekiro success
I don't know what that is, but I'm assuming this and the upcoming sequel manga were partially due to the live-action movie's success a few years ago.

>sudden
>out of nowhere
It was announced months ago, you just didn't notice.

A new sequel manga only just started, so this is a re-do

Good director but awfull series composition

Scared that Hamasaki has to work at Liden again considering how absolutely unprepared they were for TerraFormara with him in 2014 but I think the studio's in a far better condition than it was back then with so many full length TV series under their belt since that period.

I don't want to see another Hamasaki-directed show collapse under terrible productions anymore.

It's not done for the sake of Nazism so no.

is there reason for catuion with this? Hamasaki si my favourite director, i dont want another Rerided situation

You can already see Hamasaki staples in this PV like using harsh light

Hamasaki didn't direct RErideD, Takuya Sato (Steins;Gate, Selector Wixoss) did.

Is the Waterwheel CGI? Wouldn't it be easier, faster and cheaper to just draw the wheel, draw the stand, put the latter on the top layer and just, you know, spin the thing? Why model a wheel? Its not like you have to animate the thing frame by frame, keyframe it and rotate the sucker.

i know, i'm just saying i was excited becuase i heard abe was doing the designs and that the steins;gate director was workin on it aswell. I didnt know that steins;gate had two directors. Do any of the staff members working on this show give cause for caution?

it looks like it might just be motion tweening but it could be cgi

I guess it could be but for a flat shot like that there's really no reason to, unless we're going to be seeing the thing from different angles its just not a good use of resources to waste modeling and texturing something that could be scribbled in 10 minutes. Its not even colored for gods sakes, why would you model that?

>same director as texhnolyze and shigurui
Nice, that's the best possible choice.

it would make sense if it was motion tweened cos that would cut down on time tenfold

>Hamasaki
>Tsuda
>Amazon prime meaning no normalfags to shit up discussion
Please don't be shit
