Is it better to marathon an anime in a few days (or a single day) or to distribute your viewings among several days or even longer?

Watching them all at once can make it alot easier to track character development and plot points. On the downside you end up with an empty feeling when it's all over after binging like that.

Read manga. Anime is just a waste of time

It's much easier to forget things later if you try watching lot of material all at once (though you can always rewatch it).

>manga-girl
But that's clearly anime girl? Also the latter, give yourself time to mentally digest things or stuff might go over your head.

I don't know, it's your own life OP, "better" is a very relative term. For me it depends on a lot of factors, like if I'm watching on my free time or during eating something, if the end of the episode has a hook to the next one, how big the show is and a lot of other things.

>a few days
>several days
That's the same thing, silly tomoposter.

I find that my sweet spot is somewhere between 3 and 6 episodes a day, depending on how dense the plot is.

>I find that my sweet spot is somewhere between 3 and 6 episodes a day
Of only one series or more? I currently watch an episode a day of two different animes, but I think I can watch more.

depends on the show. I like to binge SoL and most battle anime. Although theres some that I find I just enjoy more stretched out

I watch an episode a day so that I get used to seeing the characters on a daily basis and thus it becomes easier for me to pretend they're my friends whom I see every day.

I meant 3-6 episodes of the same anime. I also watch one episode a day of the seasonal anime I follow, but I usually enjoy anime more when I watch them spread out over a couple of days.

>I like to binge SoL
It's the opposite for me. I like to spread SoL out as long as possible to make every episode special.

If I like an anime I get drunk and watch it in 5-8 episode increments once a week

>getting drunk once a week
Pleb.

Depends if you are a NEET
I have been consuming 20+ episodes each day, my wizardry spec is growing by the hour

I simply can't marathon anymore. Get bored between 1 to 3 episodes

cringe

>watamote

Yeah that's pretty much the idea.

I found the sweet spot is four episodes, though three or six are divisible by more seaons

Roommate and I have an actual anime night where we go through one episode of 6-10 series.

depends on the show desu.
i usually get bored when i marathon slice of life animes and give up halfway trough, but if i watch them sporadically (every 3-4 days, impliying its already over) i enjoy them more.

Season-long (and longer) TV series are meant to be savored. I will sometimes watch two, or rarely three, episodes in a sitting, but I never marathon (at least not on the first viewing). OTOH, I do sometimes treat short OVAs (say six episodes or fewer) like movies and watch them in one sitting.

I watch 8 shows at the same time and watch one or two episodes from each show a day. Sometimes I finish a few of them on the same day.

I got drunk and marathoned the entire Hellsing TV anime (dub) in a night and loved it.
I think it's impact would've been less if I spent 2 nights on it.
Alternatively I watched a single ep of space Dandy every week for a year and loved it even more because I could savor it.

Comedy ones are only good for 2 episodes at a time. Dramas you watch straight through in a single sitting. Action is once a week when it airs.

>marathon an anime in a few days (or a single day)
Don't do it. When you finish it you'll fall into a pit of depression and anxiety.

Some non-autists enjoy both.
