I dont get why TTGL always is touted as an "entry-level" show. After all these years I still can come back to it and immensely enjoy it. When I think entry-level, ignoring shows like Yugioh and Dragonball, I think of trash seasonal isekai waifu-of-the-week shit.

It’s good and inoffensive/conducive to western sensibilities so it’s entry level. /m/fags hate it because it overshadows a lot of what they like and newfags refuse to expand their taste past it, pseudo intellectuals hate it because it’s fun for fun’s sake (with just enough thematic resonance). A lot of oldfag veteran kyoanifags hate it because it had the biggest show war in Yea Forums history with Lucky Star, and represented the “old guard” of 80’s/90’s fans vs the “new guard” of 00’s fans. I've never seen a single fan of Trigger or KLK that didn't like TTGL. It's really just TTGL toddlers that only like that show (because it's the most normalfag friendly and accessible) and shit on everything else that Imaishi has made, from his debut Dead Leaves to the still under Gainax PSG, passing from things they usually haven't even seen like OvalXOver and RE Cutie Honey OVA1.
