Nobita is the kind of character that sits in the closet and masturbates when Dekisugi fucks Shizuka in his room

It only got exciting due to the love triangle between Nobita, Shizuka and Dekisugi. Specially when you can not help but acknowledge that Shizuka has no reason to choose Nobita over Dekisugi.

I loved all Doraemon's bizarre gadgets, I don't care about the characters at all.

I think Doreamon manage to least for a long time without being boring like Pokemon because the real story of Doreamon ended long time ago. Doreamon's mission was to ensure a good future for Nobita and his dependents which he already accomplished by the time of "Goodbye Doreamon" . Everything that came after "Goodbye Doreamon" are nothing more than fillers for kids who wanted more Doreamon.
