I am fairly certain it has to go this route. #1 if guts and casca end up happily the story really ends. Griffith can't be beaten they live out their lives on the island. And griffith may or may not come for them but it's far more roundaboute.
I think it'll break the GODO dialogue leaving him stranded away from everyone again. And we go double back to some form of dark though besrk has been cyclically dipping into more and more wholesome fantasy each rotation
