Last chapter of Mahou Shoujo Site was released, and boy it was a shitfest. Connecting it to Mahou Shoujo of the End was a mistake.
I can now safely say that the anime was infinitely better.
Mahou Shoujo Site 139 FINALE
That was an ordeal
Two questions OP:
1. How does it connect it to his other work
2. Did it manage to unfuck the ending?
1. The villain of Site turned out to be the villain of End in disguise, and the main characters turned out to be the daughters of an End character (I think). Several End characters make cameos.
2. Haven't read End, but I assume so given that the world has been unfucked.
Did she at least make out with her sister?
>can't unfuck the story by themselves so characters from the author's previous series turn up to fix it
Lazy
Sadly no, at least not after finding out they were sisters because they had already kissed once.
I'm still not really sure what the fuck just happened.
There is this
99% chance Aya ravaged her all night long.
Deus ex Machina lead to an even bigger Deus ex Machina to force a happy ending, at the cost of undoing all of the events of the series.
I preferred the edit
did onii-chan go full gay with the detective?
Who did Sakaki wanted to take revenge on? What was the deal with her father's death?
Who was Anjou and where did she get her enourmous Stick collection?
What was the point of Nana rebelling against the Site when she did little other than saving Kaname and expositing the backstory?
Why did she want to become the new god and how was she planning to do it? What was the point of her remembering the events of Sept if she didn't get to return to her smelly tomboy form?
Do Nana and Hyoka exist at the same time in the reborn world?
What was the point of Aya un-Admining Tsuyuno and Louise when everything gets reset anyway? Were they even alive after being brought back?
What was the power of Louise's Stick? Raining down fire like Juuroku does at one point?
Why do the Admins look the way the look? Is it something about Kurorogi's character?
When did Kurorogi take over the King's body?
How was Ichi able to rebuild the entire world and its people? And what's the deal with his magical skills? Did Rei granted them to him, or were the Illuminati able to create magical A.I. with reality-warping powers?
At what point of the timeline did Aya take Ichi to restore the world?
Why is Rei harmed by boys using Sticks? Is it some other thing about Kurorogi?
I unironically think this meme typesetting is miles better than the clusterfuck of the actual translation trying to explain everything in a shitty way which forces you to read all fucking MSotE.
Nah, most character plot threads were dropped hard due to the global rest at the end. Misumi doesn't even appear in the end.
It’s not the translation, it’s the actual source text being vague as shit.
They're in the last page (OP pic) though.
Oh, I see them now. Misumi chasing after that tight ass again.
The only good thing about this shit is that he had the balls to go with the yuri incest.
>Last chapter of Mahou Shoujo Site was released, and boy it was a shitfest
Imagine having taste this fucking bad. It was glorious, greatest love story ever told. I know most retards are mad about it but it can't be helped.
>>can't unfuck the story by themselves so characters from the author's previous series turn up to fix it
You could at least pretend to have read it. End characters were just a tease and do literally nothing except the dad one being like "you can do it good luck". World was saved through the power of aya wanting to fuck her sister.
I can't say I didn't enjoy the crazy twists every chapter or the happy yuri incest ending, but the storytelling quality went down by a lot since Tempest started. Look at the amount of unexplained shit and dropped plot points. It's a good ending but it feels unerned when it's the result of one aspull after the other.
>I can't say I didn't enjoy the crazy twists every chapter or the happy yuri incest ending, but the storytelling quality went down by a lot since Tempest started. Look at the amount of unexplained shit and dropped plot points.
Fair enough, guess I've seen enough manga now where the series was either cancelled outright or close to it, with the author being given a grace period to wrap shit up in a hurry that I've grown a bit inured. I recognize the commercial reality of it so I don't really care that much if I felt like it was a fun ride anyway and the concept/execution was crazy enough. Keijo for example, super rushed which was a bummer but I ended up unironically love that thing and its crazy super human cockroach girl. So
>It's a good ending but it feels unerned when it's the result of one aspull after the other.
That's where I'd sort of disagree. I don't think it was "asspull" is the same as "rushed as fuck", on the contrary author was pretty autistic about remembering and explaining shit from fucking everything right to the beginning. And the plot itself was pretty straight forward, nothing like End was. I forgive the rush because it still got to an ok place and managed to subvert a lot of expectations right to the end.
In all seriousness not going to really blame you if you weren't fully satisfied but it was Good Enough for me given that a few more volumes wasn't happening.
Goddamn this might actually be the worst ending of all time. Even Apocalypse's ending was better than this shit
Samefagging one more time, also I feel like anybody who was going to drop it should have done so like 80 chapters back or something, character of the series was clear at that point. Personally I came close, then the series went through a crazy shit singularity for me and came out the other side as crazy awesome instead and I enjoyed the entire remaining volumes with zero fucks. Kentarou is a literal madman or doing drugs or who knows but sometimes every single thing being more ham then the previous thing until you think it's not possible to add any more ham but then surprise it does add more ham is ok too.
How did Mahou Shoujo of the End end? Did the tsundere win?
>It was glorious, greatest love story ever told. I know most retards are mad about it but it can't be helped.
I swear yurifags would think a pile of literal shit was good so long as it came from two girls
>thinks its about the yuri and not Best Brother and Bestest Brother frolicking on the beach
do you have something to tell us user?
So, they decided to go Meta.
user, that was a troll translation.
I didn't know yurifags were so chad-looking.
more a joke one then troll, it was plenty obvious and amusing. and it was only up for an hour or so anyway
Who is that girl with the beach ball next to Nijimin?
Also, is that the fucking idolfag there too?
I save everything with Tachiyomi so I though he put both the fake and the true on the same folder. Should've kept both desu.
>Also, is that the fucking idolfag there too?
Wasn't he shown in the previous chapter or two where now he never broke up in the new timeline since the idol thing never went the same way?
>I save everything with Tachiyomi so I though he put both the fake and the true on the same folder. Should've kept both desu.
makes sense. I did save both anyway. A few people put it up on catbox too so it'll float around forever regardless.
I actually do like a lot of the yuri scat on sadpanda
If Aya is so nice, why didn't she made Nana go back to being Hyouka?
>You want real closure? Go fuck yourself, read my previous work to understand this ending.
Thanks Kentaro Satou, fuck you too
Based scatbro.
Me too but there's just so many stuff translated that I've read most of them to hell and back, and I like a bit of context in my ero pictography so reading raw is a pain and half. Most people hate that mix but eh, for people tastes.
Sweet honey is good, but a bit too goey.
If there's not stick anymore why Rina still looks like Sarina's sister???
Time travel was an asspull, no two ways about it. Some things about the ending were foreshadowed (like Ichi rebuilding the planet or even Rei being Kurorogi), but Aya's Stick being able to travel to the past was pure, unadultered Deus ex Machina. Her Stick growing more powers after the timeskip was acceptable back then, but it happening twice is not.
Natsuben by Shiina Nami is my favorite.
It's cute but it doesn't have any eating.
Does it have any "inside the clothing" views showing the character's poop coming out?
Ichi remade them as they were before the Tempest.
Or maybe Kentaro forgot.
Or maybe that IS Sarina's sister.
It was indeed a shit manga but I couldn't help but enjoy it.
The joke translation disappeared!
but user, that's a boy and a girl holding hands
lmao
so whta's next for the mahou shoujo universe?
Crossover with MahoIku, Spec Ops Asuka, Yuuki Yuuna and Genei Taiyou.
I just want a spinoff following Nana, Ni and Juu fucking shit up
Mahou Shoujo IN SPACE
This please. The Admins were great.
Tsugumi is a girl and nothing can convince me otherwise.
Mahou Shounen
>who is kiyoharu
mahou seinen please
No it isn't, you fucking nigger.
Who every translated that, is the biggest redditor on the planet.
who took away the dad's powers?
Mahou Shoujo Universe
Rei, probably.
Daughters of which charcaters?
Kogami, I think.
...
Allow me to rant for a bit, since this might be my final chance to vent out my thoughts about this series.
I love this series a lot. The anime is one of my favourite anime from 2018, and the manga it's the first weekly manga I've followed since Medaka Box ended in 2013. I love the characters, the setting, the powers, and the author's style of making the series consistently edgy to the point of ridiculousness.
The story got me hooked with its constant twists, it's unpredictable in a fun way. That said, I didn't like the direction the manga took since around chapter 100 or so. It became focused too much on fights and crazy plot twists and it lost the character interactions and atmosphere that made it enjoyable for me in the beginning.
The flashback arc is one of my favourite parts of the series because it regained the mystery aspect from early on, and was overal very engaging. Sept was also great for the same reasons and I've read both several times. Too bad both of them amounted to littlle. Kayo and Sakaki became plot devices due to Kayo's Bag of Tricks, and neither of them had their character arcs resolved in any way. Meanwhile Nana's previous life as Hyouka was completely meaningless in the end, she didn't even go back to her human form for some reason,
The best characters in the series were the original gang of Aya, Tsuyuno, Nijimin, Rina and Sarina. All of them interesting and memorable, and aside from Rina they all had good developments and fitting ends to their arcs (even if said end was death mostly).
The girls from Hachi's site are a little blander. Their characterisation is more basic and they mostly exist to support the party with their Stick powers. They are mostly defined by their roles of healer, heavy hitter, transport and mission control. Asahi was the most wasted because we don't even get her backstory until the very end, and she barely has any dialogue. It also surprises me how such an edgy series had such a progressive attitude in regards to Kiyo.
Kayo and Sakaki were both interesting, but like I said, they both turned into walking plot devices, defined by their powers with their promising arcs forgotten.
Kisumi, Alice and Anjou were consistenly the most entertaining characters due to being absolute madlads. A shame we didn't get an actual resoultion to their arc of looking for Louise (or any kind of backstory on Anjou for that matter).
Yeah Nana got cucked
I cant believe they didnt revert her
Kogami had a son, though? A who's the mother?
She will always be a smelly tomboy in my heart.
The Admins are my favourite aspect of the series. They all have very striking and cool designs, memorable because they're simple. They didn't get a lot of characterisation, but that's okay because they serve more as monsters than characters. They're like boogeymen who are always watching you, and if you cross them, they WILL kill you. They don't waste time on bullshit and always go straight for the kill.
They have a large and heavy presence, because every time one appears in person, it's an "oh shit" moment generally accompanied by he death of a character.
Some of them were definitely wasted though. We didn't get to see a lot of Juusan's power beyond "spikes from the ground" for instance. I think the arc where the girls fight them separately should have been a bit longer to showcase them more, so a few of them can get more than a panel to show their powers. The girls should have also scored more kills so the final fight against them doesn't feel so rushed. Nevertheless, Aya & Sarina vs the Admins is my favourite fight in the series.
Oh, and they didn't explain why some of them have multiple abilities even though their powers are supposed to come from a single Stick. And I'll never understand Rei's reasons for their appearences. Some weird combination of old Japan masks and modern clothing?
And then there's Ichi and Rei. For being the main villains, they sure went down like chumps in the end. Ichi's hyped 100 skills were kinda worthless if they best he could do was turn into a crocodile (but the way he was defeated was fun). Rei didn't get as much hype so it didn't bother me that she was limited to hand tentacles, but I still think she was beaten too easily. Even if males using Sticks is her weakness (I don't really understand why), I expected there to be more to killing her than just shooting her with laser beams. Very anticlimatic. And her turning out to be Kurorogi takes out her agency and makes her more boring. Should have stayed as Earth-chan/Enma Ai hybrid.
I consider the anime to be better than the manga mostly because of the original last two episodes. They were hype as fuck, and most importantly they gave the series a bit of a thematic depth that the manga lacks. It finishes off as a nice self-contained story that leaves just enough for a continuation while feeling conclusive.
I know it's nothing more than a pipe dream with negative probability of happening, but I would like a second season that follows its own story separate from the manga. It would lack the connections to Mahou Shoujo of the End so it could stand on its own. The King would have a backstory that would make her fitting of her title of "the most unfortunate girl in the world". And the ending would not rely on reset buttons so the character arcs can have natural endings and not feel wasted.
And now I'd like to post the most memeorable pages, which are of course the edgiest ones.
Best translator's note ever.
Shi is into facesitting.
Did the brother get redeemed after the rape dungeon?
Kaname is reborn by being baptised in his dad's anal blood.
The weirdest plot twist in the series.
I dont want it to be over boys
Kinda, he was still an asshole but he became an ally, he even prevented Aya from sacrificing herself near the end.
Will we ever get to see the uncensored version of these?
I would like to point out that some of these deaths don't correspond to any of the Admins' powers, specifically, the burning one, the bloating one, and towel twisting one.
The moment where all doubt that the author is an absolute madman was dispelled.
i want to beat up Aya so much, ahhhhhh
What the fuck actually happened to Kaname in the final battle? The one thing I know is that he failed to defeat the King.
And finally, the best sacrifice in the series.
Shut up Kaname.
>Did all this
>Still get cucked because the girl you love wants to fuck her sister no matter what
Some bullshit about how he doesn't count as a man because he got fucked in the ass. Also he gave Aya the magic command not sacrifice herself for everyone's sake.
Reminder that the author is fucking ripped. If only he'd spend less time at the gym and more time planning his story.
Specifically, he made it so that she couldn't give everyone a happy ending unless she got one too, so a bunch of bullshit happened to let Aya fuck her sister.
so what other ow the edge manga are you guys reading now that mahou shoujo site is finished.
last edgy manga i read weekly was kamisama no iutoori
It's okay, she' fine with being a cuckquean as long as her loved one is happy.
rape island, bug rape island and rape cult
Names, please?
The question I don't think anyone has asked yet: which Admin would you fuck?
I'm going to sleep now. I don't know if the thread will still be alive by the time I'll wake up, so I'd like to say it was a pleasure to participate in this wild ride with you all.
Find happiness, unfortunate anons!
If I'm not mistaken, he was severly injured in the battle. But what kind of attack did he receive? Was it a neck snap?
so... did this get axed or not?
I feel like the author planned or was given 16 volume quote to begin with, but somehow screwed the pacing because he tried to put too much plot.
more like he just got bored of it, same thinh with of the end
Definitely Nana. It says on the wiki the face was referenced from the 'Have you seen This man in your sleep?' but I just dont see it. Nana is much more beautiful inside and out
Could the Otaku guy have been Anjou's boyfriend or is he too old?
I'm going to try to answer because it might help me make sense of it too.
>Who did Sakaki wanted to take revenge on? What was the deal with her father's death?
Unimportant (or dropped) seems like a random accident that led to tragedy
>Who was Anjou and where did she get her enourmous Stick collection?
Some Thot who turned crazy cause her BF died? Who knows maybe in the background some dude on a bicycle died and we are supposed to assume that's him.
>What was the point of Nana rebelling against the Site when she did little other than saving Kaname and expositing the backstory?
She was regaining her humanity and also to become god.
>Why did she want to become the new god and how was she planning to do it? What was the point of her remembering the events of Sept if she didn't get to return to her smelly tomboy form?
I assume she thought she could posses the loli's body or something with technology. Maybe author thought it would be awkward for her to return as a tomboy.
>Do Nana and Hyoka exist at the same time in the reborn world?
Maybe, probably
>What was the point of Aya un-Admining Tsuyuno and Louise when everything gets reset anyway? Were they even alive after being brought back?
We don't know. Presumably they wanted to do it before the planet exploded, and then just inject some life force into them via Aya's stick.
>What was the power of Louise's Stick? Raining down fire like Juuroku does at one point?
Yes
>Why do the Admins look the way the look? Is it something about Kurorogi's character?
Out of universe author probably just liked the style. In universe yeah probably.
>When did Kurorogi take over the King's body?
End of MSotE, but like off-panel.
Cont
>How was Ichi able to rebuild the entire world and its people? And what's the deal with his magical skills? Did Rei granted them to him, or were the Illuminati able to create magical A.I. with reality-warping powers?
I assume the illuminati were just really OP. Don't forget in MSotE the Magical Girls are just clones made from like 1% DNA and a lot of SCIENCE
>At what point of the timeline did Aya take Ichi to restore the world?
Not known possibly they didn't even bother to time travel.
>Why is Rei harmed by boys using Sticks? Is it some other thing about Kurorogi?
Probably a yin-yang thing, or the way the Demon pact works ie he only had daughters and they only passed powers onto females.
Overall I enjoyed the ride but boy was the ending rushed.
have any idea as to how Anjou knew that Hyoka would become an Admin?
There seems to be a confliction in the backstory where it states that admins gain stick powers from the girls that die using the stick, However: ~2 chapters later when Hyoka died and became Nana, the King literally said "we just so happen to have an opening for a new admin". and thats how she was able to keep her consciousness. So how the fuck did Anjou know there would be an opening? If anything there was like a 99.9% chance she would just get absorbed by admin that gave out the stick
She believed, or possibly killed an Admin. Maybe an Admin killed her BF so she then killed it.
BEST PART IS THAT ONLY MALES COULD HURT THE FINAL BOSS, BUT BECAUS HE WAS RAPED, HE LOST HIS "MANLINESS"
