To be fair I honestly liked the start of part 2. Wangnan felt like a likeable enough protagonist for the short period of time where he actually was one, and I was interested in seeing what was going on with Baam/Viole, and though the other new characters were hit-or-miss I thought Akraptor at least was pretty cool and Prince was a lovable piece of shit. It was only really during the workshop battle that I thought stuff really got shit.

I am quite a bit behind now. I stopped reading waaaaay back right around the time Baam obtained that "floating beam gun" that follows him around. Was it called "needle" or something or am I mixing it up? Anyway, is it worth reading after that or does it go to shit at some point?

Yeah, now it's called "thorn".
It goes a bit to shit after that arc, but also goes back to good after it.

I think Tower of God's opening arc is good enough to carry a cour. It became a figurative trainwreck later on but that's towards the end of season 1.

She looked younger on the early chapters, probably catered as the main pair of MC.

I tried reading it but:

TOG lost my interest after a while, I don't think any series needs to be longer than 200 chapters.
