AoT IS A BAD SERIES, or at least average at best. It's not even well written and that's why the critics don't take it seriously. It's basically like Re:Zero, pathetic otaku with shit taste love it, the anime intelligentsia doesn't take it seriously.

MAL was always embarrassing anyway, and FMA is certainly not Top 10 material but it does look worse with AoT on Titan. If it were HxH or LOGHT it would have had credibility.

As for why it fall, apparently it has to do with bot purging. Let's get real FMAB is pretty good but it has never reached the levels of praise of HxH, Monster or Cowboy Bebop so it was undeserved all along.

Just look at Gintama. Even if you dismiss Gintama as a bug, no one takes it seriously because some of the best series are placed so low like Monster, Mushishi and Cowboy Beboo. Also includes movies with tv series.

FMAB was never as appreciated by critics as it is by Otaku. Many don't even have it in their top 10, it really isn't top 10 material like HxH.

As for AoT it's basically like the walking dead or game of thrones last seasons. It might be popular but you won't see critics praising it because is so obviously poorly written.

No, series should be consolidated. It's stupid to count sequels/seasons independently. That way you could get rid of Gintama's bug and it wouldn't appear in the Top 20, where it certainly doesn't belong.

It's roughly half. I agree without CA HxH isn't really Top 10 material, but at the same time it only has two weak arcs that amount to 27 episodes. The rest ranges from pretty solid to excellent.

And CA on it's own justifies it's stature since that on it's own it's the greatest story ever told in anime. It completely redefined storytelling.

No series is perfect. Now if you think G.I. was bad in Madhouse's you should have seen that shit in '99's, i literally dropped it over a decade ago. And the manga IS EVEN WORSE. All those walls of text HxH is famous for revolving around this thing amount to unreadable gibberish.

If G.I. is the price you have to pay for CA so be it. It's worth it if you put it like that.

If a show can't be consistently good then it doesn't deserve a high rating. The season structure is irrelevant. Though I'd probably separate the FLCL sequels from the original just because of the significant amount of time that passed between them being made. Older series aren't separated by seasons even if they worked the same way when they were made too.
